I just noticed this charge to my account and when I call the number 800-793-2318; it's disconnected. I'm definitely disputing it. I don't even remember ever buying anything from 1800Flowers, but you can bet I never will. How ironic that 1-800-Flowers is an ad for this site.

Thanks to all for the info.

I just found out that I have been being randomly charged 38.99 for over a year.  I have a lot of recurring charges because of my business and I don't check as often as I should but when I saw this one in a recent check, I went back and checked and have been being charged since 2010.  Yes it was 1-800-Flowers.
Did you get your refund?  I have been advised by my bank to report it to consumer fraud!  I AM MAD!!!!

Someone needs to organize a class action lawsuit. They have been scaming me since 2007! That's so much money. Merrill Lynch gave me back my money for 2011. Livewell never got back to me. 1-800-FLOWERS never got back to me. I thought it was a credit card fee and I never really examined that account's debit card section because I usually only use the checking and savings aspects of the account. I'm beyond angry. Merrill canceled my card and gave me a new one and paid me back for 2011 charges so far. I'm still disputing the rest of the charges. What angers me even more is that on top of taking my money without my permission they actually rased the fee without my permission too!

Peter - I did NOT order online, I ordered over the phone and never authorized a payment to Live Well.  No one mentioned any membership, or discount, or anything to me.  We're not all stupid people, that's a pretty ignorant comment.  I ordered flowers last September.  My first charge was last week, not $11.99, I was charged $38.25.  Everyone should contact the attorney general in their state, and the better business bureau.

I have been billed since February 2008 after ordering flowers from 1 800 flowers .com.On my credit card statement it appears as Live Well  800-793-2318, since I live in Canada this phone number I could not reach. After severly calls to my credit card company I was informed that they could not do anything. I was told to contact the company by e-mail. That I found hard when I didin't know where they where located. But by putting this 1-800-793-2318 number in google, I found this page. So from here I could see that I ordered flowers on line from 1-800-flowers.com for my daughter in ALABAMA for her 25TH birthday. This Live well service isn't even available in Canada, but yet they billed me. They promised a refund I will wait and see. But if you need to conact them.Try Travelers Advanatge 1-800-678-3029 100 Connecticut ave Norwalk CT 068860 or Live Well 1-877-488-9480 P.O. Box 6100 Westerville,Ohio 43086.When I called Travelers Advantage they trasferred my call to Live Well.

To whom it may concern,

On May 27th a charge in the amount of $38.99 was charged to my debit account.  I have no idea who these people are and what the charge was for.  I alerted my bank to this and would like to know who is doing this.  No company ever called, but the number appears along with the charge for 38.99.  The number is 26380 800-793-2318.  If you could help with this matter it would be much appreciated.  As I said I do not know what this is or what it was for.  Please e-mail me at ppaquin4559@yahoo.com

Thank you

Just so you know you all better check your bills again because this company also provides for a service called Privacy Guard through Mobil.  They charge you $89.00 for this.  They did it the same way except instead of using 1-800 flowers they used Mobil.  Take care all of you, this is only the begining.  Just be real careful in the future when purchasing items.  Do not sign up for anything other than what you are buying.  Good Luck to you all

I looked at my bank statement yesterday and found an charge on my account for $38.99 from LiveWell. I called the number and demanded that this be cancelled as I had not authorized this charge on my card. They of course continued to try to sell me their pitch again but I stopped him short. I demanded a refund and he informed me that it woult take at least 7 to 10 days to receive the refund. I then got on-line with 1-800flowers and informed them that the fastest way to loose a customer was to do what they did and they certainly lost me as a customer, never again.

These people are still at it.  DH (who will be getting a talking to) ordered flowers for mil bday in early Dec.  First charge for 38.99 hit 1/22.  Based on what I read here and numerous other sites, I called my cc company immediately and disputed the charge AND closed my account - number change.  Not going to deal with calling the idiot livewell company or worry that they'll hit me up again next month.  Took 10 mins of pain, and I'll have to contact all my legit direct charge companies (netflix, cable, etc) to change to the new cc number, but I have peace of mind.  I probably wouldn't have fallen for it, but who knows.  Sounds like even over the phone you don't stand a chance.  And so sad to hear that the flowers mostly arrive looking like crap too.  They were not cheap.  I go with Edible Arrangements now, just fyi.  Send a nice fruit arrangement instead.  Nutrition over dead flowers.

My brother has been using my credit card for the past few years and I didn't realize LIVE WELL was charging the card every few months for a membership that my brother knew nothing about. There were 8 charges of $35.99 from this company over the past 2 years. My brother ordered from 1-800-FLOWERS by telephone in September of 2008 and the charges from LIVE WELL started in November 2008. He called LIVE WELL customer service and the first person said they could refund the most recent charge, which was November 2010. He asked about the other 7 charge and he transferred the call to his supervisor. This supervisor said he could refund 4 charges back. My brother asked about the other 4 charges. The call was then transferred to the executive level support and supposedly the final level. She refunded all 8 charges. I verified today that I did receive a credit of all 8 charges for the past 2 years. My brother never looked at the statements, I did and since they only billed the card every 3 months I didn't notice the suspicious charge. I'm glad the company was honest enough to give a refund of all charges though.

So, after reading all the blogs above I decided to call Liv Well and ask for a cancellation of the membership and get a refund.
The first person to answer was a call center agent, he read his script, I declined my interest to keep my membership and he "said" he cancelled my membership. He gave me a confirmation code; however, when I asked for a refund he said that I was ineligible for this and he could not do it. I asked for his supervisor,
After being on hold for about 4 minutes, a supervisor answered and I explained the circumstance. She was very cordial and explained she was authorized to refund me 12 months of my 32 months of payments (embarrassing that I didn't notice these charges for that long on my bank statement!). For the balance of the refund she offered to transfer me to the "president's office" who is authorized to give the balance due. I accepted the transfer.
The agent for the “president” (whatever) answered and I explained the circumstance. She agreed to credit me the balance owed with no problem. She was very cordial as well.
My cancellation fee and credit are all referenced under the same number. They explained the credits will take 7-10 business days,
My conclusion: It is a very slimy way of doing business without a doubt, so beware buyers who see future “free credit” ads, I have no doubt there are more out there. Stay persistent but respect the agents who answer the phone, they are just following their script. The company "righted" their wrong so far and we shall see if the credit shows up and the membership is cancelled. To be continued...

This is the second time they have charged my credit card.

The first time was for Easy Saver (1-800-355-1837) and the next time for LTG Live (1-800-355-2318).

I call and they told me that they would refund but they never did.

So good luck

I almost never check my bank account delivered paper b/c I only use my account for 3 items total, so when I realized I had been paying 12.99 a month for unknown charges, some time had gone by...I HATE this company now.  I was wondering if ANYONE has had to take further action then just calling  to recieve a reimbursment, and also how much has everyone alse lost?? There may be a way to screw this company just as hard as they have screwed all of us. I am sending a letter from my lawyer and my bank (now that they refuse to reimburse) asking that if they do NOT comply within a week of recieving then legal action will follow.

To Peter Krugman and the Idiot in America:

Sometimes scams are scams and you don't need to do anything other than place an order to become a victim.  On October 4th I ordered flowers from 1800Flowers.  A pop-up offered me money off my order.  I know where that leads and did not take the bait.  I had difficulty closing the box and decided to place my order on the phone.  I had not yet entered any personal information.  I called and placed my order. I was never asked about a membership in anything.  Mom got her flowers, my card was billed correctly and all was right with the world.  On Nov. 30, I was charged the infamous $38.99 by TLG LIVEWell.

I volunteered NO information to Livewell.  The only company that had my information was 1800Flowers for a legitimate purchase.  Oh, and I never cashed any promotional check that might account for this billing.

It seems to me that there are quite a few honest people who thought they were doing business with a reputable company and two idiots who haven't learned to switch on their brains before their fingers go into overdrive.

For those of you who were taken, I called my credit card company and disputed the charge.  I had a credit 3 days later.  I also called Livewell and informed them that i had better never see another charge from them.  I also filled out a complaint form with NJ State Consumer Fraud.

Perhaps the lesson for all of us is to keep very close tabs on our bank and credit card statements.  If I had waited 60 to 90 days (depending on card)I would have had no recourse other than the Consumer Fraud Division.
