I got a call on my cell phone a number I do not give out from 800 798 5606. I answered and the girl on the other end said Hi and said her name she never said who she was calling for just asked if the last 4 digits of my SS# was XXXX. I told her I have no idea who she was or where she was calling from and I refused to give her any info. Before I could ask her to take my name off what ever list she was using she just hung up.

calls 3 to 4 times a day caller id states Nelson Watson looked up the phone number on the reverse phone number on internet he is a debt collector states he has a company Nelson Associates I will look this up all I know is excuse my french he is a pain in the a** Good luck

I get calls on landline from unidentified callers who never leave a message and when I look no. up (as with this one) invariably relates back to this organization. I typically get at least one a day.

this calls been everyday and bothing me.. and I dont see a person's name on the caller ID box. all I have the phone number on screen is 1800-870-7316 and then call back # is 1800-798-5606. I wish this has to stopped. they have been harassed me.

numerous calls to our home number answering machine. showed up on caller id as 800-798-5606. called 1-800-388-1190 and told them they had wrong number. they said they would take us off their list. will have to wait and see if unwanted calls stop.

I'm renting a condo ,this people left a message and my boyfriend believe is someone who going out with me .They told me they will take out the list ,that never happeng ,left message every day ,This  need to stop .I dont know this guy!!!

It's a collection agency.  I called them back.  They gave me the name of the person they were looking for.  It's not me, so they took my number off their list.

800-798-5606 will not stop calling me then not telling my why!

send then a notice in writing not to call you again. if they continue they ill have violated the FDCPA.

FDCPA does not require them to say anything about debt collection when they leave you a message.

Call blocking does not work when calling an 800 number. Since they are paying for you to call them, they get more information than a standard caller id would give. Best bet when calling an 800 number if you do not want them to have all your info is to find a payphone and call them from it.

I got this calls in everyday... I hate that! there is 2 phone number from this same person 1800-870-7316 call back number is 1800.798-5606.this is a law for harassing.

I have received several calls and each time the person is extremely rude.  I haven't talk to anyone yet, but their voice messages are rude and their voices are very stern.  It is imperative that you call me NOW and not tomorrow......this kind of attitude and verbage.  Who are these people?

these people "ALedegidly" baught a bad debt and are tryiong to collect on it.
i did not pay teh original debt cause it was not valid and the company could not validate it, so they sold it. now these people think i owe them and they can not validate it.

fact of law: in oregon atleast, any collector has to be able to obtain and actual physical copy of the original credit file, if they can not do that, they can validate the claim or debt.

so untill they can they are oin violation of the fdcpa in regards to falsly reporting to the credit buero's and you can actually counter sue for your damadges.

We received an automated phone call on our answering machine, message was "it is imparative that we speak with ________ (name)call 1-800-798-5606 with no indication of why they were calling.  I returned the call to them and after telling me that they were "pursuing a possible lawsuit against (in this case my husband's name, very common I might add) I told them I don't think you have the right person.  They had a ss# which they wanted me to verify and I again told them not the right person and to remove our number from their records.  They scare you by leaving a message like that and say "oh sorry" if your lucky.  What crap.

Caller ID on cell phone shows call from 800-870-5610.  I DO NOT ANSWER!  They leave a blank message to call 800-870-5610 for an important matter.  No name of any kind is given.  As far as I know somebody is PHISHING for a number to tag and steal.  Inet searches via Google show both of these numbers are from a notorious collection agency known to abuse establish guidelines, rules and regulations.  Anyone calling my unlisted and protected cell is not someone I care to talk to.  Especially after leaving a blank ID and no details on an 800 return number DIFFERENT than the originating call!

I got many calls from this number and many others for different people.
I reported them to bbb.org.  I got from bbb.org the advice to report for my region to this site: http://www.ftc.gov/ro/northeast.shtm
Please report any number as this is abuse according to federal law and they will need to take action.

1-800-388-1190 is the number to call if you get weird calls from them. Tell them you getting odd calls and ask who they looking for. They then remove your number from the debt collectors.

Called my cell phone and left a number to call back on. Caller ID picked up the 1-800-798-5606 but "Steve" left 1-800-764-1325 as callback number. Didn't say anything about debt collection as required by FDCPA. Made it seem as if he was a friend calling.
