Called and left a message saying that they never received the paperwork back from me or my attorney (umm hello dumba** its called certified mail with a return receipt for verification the mail was received) that they sent and to call them back with a case number. this has been gonig on for almost 5 years now. I can't wait to connect with one of these companies and take them out for harrassment - claim mental bullying and ask for millions! Then give that money to all of those poor people that actually were scammed out of money.

Apparently I have the same last name as another person who owes money. They ask me if I know where this other person lives, tell me the last known address. Then they threaten me by saying if I know where this person lives it would be in my best interest to tell them because this other person is in a lot of trouble for money they owe.
The phone numbers they call from are 800 504-2409, 800 789-8731 and 800 591-2643.
They call 2 to three times a day.If the answering machine picks up the call the message they leave is; " by accepting this call you agree you are the person identified in this phone call and you assume responsibility for this debt in full."

Called asking for my mom, in which was unavailable, and the caller was agitated and then asked if there was another number she could be reached at. I declined to give the number, and the caller said I was an uncooperative client.

received a call from this number for a person who does not live here and the answering machine picked up, had they listened to the message they would have known this called them and told them to remove this number or I would turn them over to the attorney generals office, supposedly it has been removed, we will see I wrote the number down and the date so I am ready for them the next time....

I receive calls from this number five or six times a day. They start with my home phone to move on to my cell number. They have even called cell phone numbers that share a cellular plan with me. Whats up? Can they keep racking up my cell phone charges like that? Anyone with a way to make them stop please let me know.

I am getting calls from this number. I have been out of work for 9 months (thx Obama), since I am a 1099, I am not getting Unemployment and have used up savings to keep my house so my my wife and 3 kids have a place to sleep. Be that has it may, when I get calls from 800 or 877 or 866 numbers I just answer the phone just like I woke up. When they ask for me or my wife (her name can be male or female)I say "OK, how can I help you?" The agent then starts their demand for payment or they will sue me and take my house. I let them rattle then I say "well its about time I found out why you keep calling me looking for that guy." Then they something like are you going to pay this bill? I reply "Why should I pay this guys bills I have my own?" You said you were *****. "No I said how can I help you?" "You call me all the time and wake me up looking for someone that I have no clue who they are." They then hang up and stop calling for about a month until a new collector gets the file. Then I do it all over again.

I was a Collector for 5 years, Not proud of it but I needed to put myself through College. If your Debt amount is below $5000 90% of collection agencies wont go forward with a lawsuit unless they see you owe 3 cars, 2 homes, or they access your bank records and see you have a savings account. And yes they will pretend to be you on the phone and get access to your Bank Accounts. You give your SSN DOB and Address on a form to your Doctor and they can access just about any account either over the phone or online.

Over $5000 being sued is more likely especially if it is over a car or home.

If it is a Credit Card or line of credit under 10,000 they will try to collect but will sell the "Paper" for about .50 on the dollar to a Collection agency. I still have people working in the Industry and there is such a surge of work now a days that anything under 3000 is just getting form letters and then being shelved until later. They have 2 to 3 years to collect depending on State law.

Do yourself a favor and read the FDCPA section 800 through 812 to know your right and ways to keep Debt Collectors at bay and work hard to collect. In these times there is so much work that a tough to collect account will be set aside while they go for the low hanging fruit.

Hope this helps.

Former Collector.

Received call on 5/21/09 at 9:57 a.m.  I listened to our recorder on phone and a recording kept saying "You have an important business call" several times.  Then a woman finally came on and said "hello, hello."  Since they did not leave a message I didn't pick up.

This is a number for Capital Management.  Over the past four months I have received 247 phone calls on my cell phone from this company from this phone number (I have Magicall call filtering software installed on my Windows Mobile smartphone and have blocked this number so that every time they call the phone picks up and hangs up the phone without ringing, a log is automatically kept with the date and time the phone call comes in).

Capital Management will often call me several times in a row, I have noticed sometimes they will call me non-stop 10-15 times in a row back-to-back-to-back.

Several times I have noticed whomever calls me from Capital Management from this number will alternate between this number (800) 798-8731 and another number they own (716) 871-9050.  I have received numerous calls from both numbers within 15-20 seconds of each other several times, most recently just 20 minutes ago.

As of late, their newest trick is to alter their caller ID number so that is shows up as your own phone number, just a short while ago I received a total of 19 phone calls within a 5 minute time period where the caller ID alternated between (800)798-8731, (716) 871-9050, and my own cell phone number (which happened to be the phone they were calling).

I'm in my mid 30's, moved away from home to go to college when I was 17 and never moved back.  My parents moved halfway across the country years ago due to a job transfer and I have never had a joint credit account with anyone - including family and have never lived at any address, much less in any state where any of my family members currently reside.  I bring this up because Capital Management routinely calls my parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, even my grandma who is in her mid 90's and living in an assisted living facility - all of whom live in different states.  Capital Management plays dirty, knowing this, I started playing dirty.  I spoke to one of their supervisors a few months ago and got his full name.  Upon doing so, I skip traced him and started calling his family members.  I even went so far as to drive several states over to his home, attached a letter detailing what he does for a living and how his company treats people to the front doors of every single home in his subdivision (146 homes), and then woke him, his family, and several of his neighbors up at 6:00 am on a Sunday morning by using a loudspeaker and picketing his personal home.  Not surprisingly he quit his job and moved shortly thereafter - he sold his house for well below market value.  I'd like to think my actions are part of the reason why he is taking a loss on selling his house - karma is a bi***.

Do I owe people money, yes I do.  In 2007 I was involved in a serious accident where I was walking down the sidewalk and a 91 year old man lost control of his car, left the road, hit me, and dragged me 100 yards.  It took me nearly 4 months to come out of a coma, by the time I did I had lost my home at a foreclosure sale, had a car taken back, defaulted on all of my current debt, lost my job and thus my health insurance (I worked at a bank, when my credit scores plummeted when I was in a coma they fired me - while I was in a coma), and ended up with over two million dollars in medical bills.  I quickly blew through my IRA and 401k trying to stay alive and pay for physical therapy so I could learn to walk again.

Fast forward to today, I'm walking again and currently in law school.  It's been a heck of a battle and I'm just getting back on my feet again.  I will be filing a Ch. 7 BK to rid myself of this debt very soon.  In the meantime I am using every legal trick out there to protect myself and inflict monetary damage upon this company.

Capital Management - you have chosen the wrong person to mess with.  I hope you continue to ignore the cease and desist letters I have sent you via registered mail and you keep calling me and racking up fines.
