This is Sears Chase credit card. My bill was paid May 8th but they continued to call multiple times a day without leaving a message up until today, May 16. Called Sears, cancelled the credit card. Called Chase told them they were the reason I cancelled the card and while I won't be shopping at Sears anymore. Robocalls - hate them.

I just had a call from that number , was a voice machine that says no name of company and when I tried to call back, the line seens dead... what's wrong with them.. ??
Delana 2014-05-06 17:24:55 Unknown
Sears or Chase...or whomever SEARS has looking after the Sears Credit Department are almost like a Bullies. The "harassment" is EXTREME! They call ALMOST EVERY HOUR!!! I looked at my call display and it showed that they were calling every hour and a half!! AND ...no message, or identification! And here is the clincher... I am overdue on my Credit Card by TWENTY DOLLARS!!!!!!! I thought there was some law that you are only allowed to call twice a day for collections?! And maybe , if they left a message saying , or eluding to what it was about, it would have gotten a more positive result , and reminded me to make a payment... rather than pissing off an existing SEARS Customer! Do they really love there job? Or are they just bullies that have been given a task that allows them to harass and load up your caller list with hang-ups?? What kind of "Customer Service" is that??

It's "Chase Card Services", presumably the collections department. Got multiple calls from this number leaving messages for someone that does not live here to call them back. Eventually called back myself and explained the situation. The guy on the other end was very pleasant and assured me that I would not receive any further calls. We'll see if it works :)

They don't need to leave a detailed message, but they could at least say who they are and leave a number to call back. No need to start calling at 8am and call 10x throughout the day. We had a 1 year deferred payment plan of $5200 that the payments of $300/month just started last month, which we didn't pay because we were waiting for our tax refund to come in. We just paid $4k towards it last week and they are still harassing us like this. There has to be a law??????

Keeps calling no message calls 3 times a day
Credit Watcher 2014-02-26 14:36:07 Unknown
If you really are a legitimate debt collection agency working in Canada, you must reveal your name. Anonymous phone calls are not acceptable. You must leave a message with details for the intended recipient. You must also know automatic dialing calls do not constitute acceptable collection procedures.

Why are they calling before 8:30 in the morning?
donna west 2014-01-22 21:40:21 Unknown
Not sure who keeps calling me but they call in the morning around 8am and evening around 8pm. No one is on line, just beeps and they call all week, including weekends.
It is getting very annoying - been going on for weeks even after pick up.
I have looked up number and it says Sears - I do have a credit card for Sears, however have no payment issues. If they are trying to sell me something I am certainly not interested.

This Mexican sounding dude keeps calling me every morning at 8:40 am on the dot. He keeps asking for a certain individual. I don't answer him. Just tell him to STOP calling this number. Well, he called again this morning. I LAID into him HUGE. Threw EVERY profanity at him. Didn't answer his questions, didn't disclose who I was, just kept laying into him. "Go bleep yourself", "Stick a bleeping di**o up your bleep", "eat my bleep", "suck my bleep", "take my bleep in your bleep".
The guy was a champ. He took every bit of it. I love it. I told him to "go bleep yourself" before I slammed the phone in his face. If he calls again tomorrow morning I'll feed it to him some more.
NO MORE MR. NICE GUY.

There you do! They can call and harass you. When you ask them what it is regarding they say "due to privacy laws", well, when they ask me for my info over the phone (and they always will), I say "due to privacy laws" I can't disclose that info.
These people can go f*ck themselves!
Tommy 2013-11-26 16:53:36 Debt Collector
You don't have to answer the call and if you do you don't have to talk to them about ANY personal financial matters.
There is NO WAY you can verify the caller on the other line, even if they are legit.
I tell them to show me your i.d? Of course they can't over the phone. Then I tell them to go f*ck themselves, literally.
It's almost 2014, with so many phone scams going around, debt collectors calling with no proof of i.d will go the way of the do-do.
Brian 2013-11-25 18:30:03 Unknown
You should take your own advice. No need to leave account information or detailed messages. Leaving the name of the company and a contact number in which they can be reached is sufficient at does not violate the Privacy Act. The message need not be more detailed than for someone to return a call. As for making payments on time...well....s*** happens.

Account closed over four months ago paid up in full and it has been confirmed with Sears in writing " paid in " full no balance outstanding I still get statements showing a balance and get several collection calls a day.
Speaking to caller is like talking to a wall. My explanation of paid in full falls on deaf ears.
People who reply to these complaints like pay your account there wouldn't be any collection call - Wake up and do not play stupid.

800-799-44724 Received yet another call so answered this time to request that I be put on their "do not contact" list. No response to my hello(s). I called that number & got the "this is a LD # and LD charges will apply" message. So I blocked this number.
Pi$$ed Off! 2013-08-17 03:00:18 Unknown
My advice if they aren't listening to you is to slam the phone down hard.
They will get your message.

I received a call from the number 8007994424 this week, and spoke to a lady named "EMMA". At first, I already knew that she is NOT Canadian because of her accent, she was forcing herself to sound convincing and to sound Canadian but she failed. LOL. She sounded like she was from Asia or India or whatever. Anyway, she was asking for me but I told her that I was just the caretaker. The lady wont provide me any other details aside from CHASE. She kept on saying about privacy laws blah blah blah. and she's very rude! she sounded very annoying. I couldve asked for her full name so that i can search her on facebook and check how ugly she is. LOL

We are working on clearing up our credit card debt, which got racked up during the fledgling year of opening up our own business. When these people called, the first person I talked to, wouldn't even tell me who was calling. the second person that called? ( out of about 6 calls today alone) he at least told me that he was calling on behalf of Chase/Sears.. I told him "well, I can tell you my husband made a payment on this account on Sunday" he wouldn't have it.. citing privacy laws ( I have a card on the same account, but that means nothing to them) and that he had to talk to him about the account, and stated they were open until 9 tonight. I said "well, by the time he ever gets around to calling you back, the payment will probably have gone through anyway, but give me the number and I will have him call you back." .. he says again, he has to talk to him directly, and than doesn't even give me the contact number! lol.. I have no problem with them calling to remind us of a missed payment, because lets face it, we all forget from time to time.. and yes, I do mean forget. Unless you write out your budget on a monthly basis, it can slip away from you.. But these people, are rude. They cut you off mid sentence, and when you divulge information that a payment has been made, they completely ignore what you said, like you are lying or something. I would not say a payment was made, if it was not made.. don't need collections in my life either.. So it is pointless to lie about it. I cannot wait to close off that account. Sears merchandise is crap now anyways.. I will never buy anything from there again due to the quality of said product and the excessive amount of money you put out for said product. I hadn't used the card in months until this past weekend.. I don't plan on using it in the future. I went to use it for vacuum bags and water filters.. 37 dollars, and despite the fact that there is a 1000.00 that could be used on the card, it was declined it because we forgot a payment. Good enough. And I agree Michelle, they do not always let it ring more than once.. like they are doing it strictly to be a nuisance. I go to answer, and the call has already been disconnected.. or, I will repeatedly say "hello" and no answer, than it will disconnect again.. Like they are making it look bad for the person they are contacting. They can go get stuffed for sure..
Margo 2013-05-27 14:17:31 Unknown
its none of your business why people have missed payments. you dont know what their going through
kathy 2013-04-03 18:05:46 Unknown
I CHECKED WITH SEARS AND THIS IS A FRADULENT NUMBER TO OBTAIN YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION. IT IS NOT CHASE OR ANYONE ELSE.

I get calls 5 times a day from this number, and when I answer.....(I answer every time), they hang up. No one says anything to me at all.
It is really starting to make me VERY angry.

I have made arrangements with them. I have talked to them several times but they never stop calling. I have asked them to stop calling repeatedly and they will not listen. I have a very high risk pregnancy and when they call it causes my blood pressure to go up. To the point if they don't stop it will cause me to either put in the hospital or loose my baby. If that happens then I would sue them for harassment. It is wrong that they call you so many times a day even after you talk to them. Keep your promises and don't stop calling.
