they call me everyday and even sometime in the early morning such as 3 am. really getting fed up

Just received a call from this number...asking to purchase gift certificate for girl friend...then asked if I accepted Amex....would come by later to get gift..

I have received calls from this number on and off over the past several months.  Caller never leaves a message.  I picked-up once and I honestly forget what they asked for, but I do remember hanging up quickly.

got a call from them today and they started leaving a message which sounded like they were from Aspect software.  I called the number back, immediately went to voicemail saying "we're sorry, all agents are busy".  Clearly not a legit company if they dont put their company name on vmail.

one thing that works for call systems like this typically is just pick up the phone...once their call system recognizes you picked up your number SHOULD be taken off the dial list.  One thing I do is pick up the phone, set it down on a table, then continue what I was doing ignoring the phone all together.

call came in asking if we were a pc epair shop  and if we take AMEX and Discover. That his brother needed to know.

They call me and ask the same question abouve , our website if we accept amex and Discover and at waht time we close.
Stupidly i answer questions . But it did not sound right.

it seems that you all probably own a business like i do that is why i received a call from this number too, and they didnt leave a message. when people get pre-paid cell phones their number shows up on your caller id as a 1-800 number. I figured that this is probably a person scamming with stolen amex & discover cards trying to buy products from you to resell for money. Don't fall for it.

This number called and left a message saying that they were the American City Business Journal replying to my request for advertising information that I placed on The Denver Business Journal website.  I verified and they were who they said they were.

I was asked "does your company accept credit cards as a form of payment thru your website?  Does that include AMEX?  Great, you do?  I will let my boss know."

Calls twice a day, They haven't left any messages.

We just got the same call and excuse

Caller asked if my business accepts Discover or American Express.  Told him we accept AMEX.  He quickly said his brother would come by today (he asked hours of operation).  When I asked if his brother was working with a particular salesperson - he was in a hurry to get off the phone.

If this is American Express (see previous post) it's sort of a unappealing way for them to determine if a business accepts their cards.

yup received several calls from that number and we are with authorize.net

Are you all signed up with Authorize.net? I got same story and I wonder where these guys got my phone number

same story as other people, unprofessional caller asks if ' we accept amex ", no more info given, hangs up.

I got this same call on 03/11/08. Some gay sounding guy asking for my website address, and asking if I take American Express or Discover, because his brother wants to order something from me. sketchy!!!

Some guy called claiming he was coming through town with his brother and wanted to buy some stuff. He then asked if we accepted amex and discover. sounded like a call center in the background.

A guy called, and said his brother needed our services.  He asked if we take AMEX, or Discover.  He said his brother would call tomorrow.

When I called back the message said "we sorry, all agents are busy.  Please leave a name and number and we'll return your call as soon as possible.

Got a VM from this number claiming to be from Cisco Systems.  Bad background noise sounded like some kind of call center.

got a call 1/17/08 asking me if we had a web site and then said my brother
wants to buy from us and do you take american express?
this may be a tella marketter seeing if you take american express. then they will sell info to amex for a sales lead.

Just I just got a call from this number as well.  Lady started asking questions about my business and asked our hours of operation and location saying her sister wanted to come by some stuff, but we are not even a retail location.  Seemed very suspicious to me.
