Indian accent guy would not leave a message. Return call is Dollar Car Rental, a legitimate co. NY State attorney general notified.

OMG! They've called me 7 times today. How do I make it stop?! Never anyone on the line.

My husband got a call on his cell from this number handed me the phone...Man with an Indian accent call says he is from Microsoft and need stock speak to the permain user on the computer.so I asked who he was looking to speak to? I said if u know I have a computer, you should have a name. After hesiting he said some foereigh name I couldn't undertand andasked him to spell it. Not even close.I told that is not me besides the phone called is my husbands and he's not associated with any account. He read back the number and asked if it is correct. Made clear the phone number was correct not the name. So I'm don't have to talk to you any further...you have the wrong person. Hung up

Said he was from the "actual technical dept" and needed to talk to me about my computer. I told him "this is b***s***... You don't know anything about my computer" and hung up.

800 800 1000...keep getting calls from this #...that my windows app is crashing..gentleman said he is  with microsoft ..I let him go on and asked him would he like me password too..lol. I said I do not use the window app. And do not call here anymore. He wanted to know what programs I was running..I hung up.

Durn calls already calling at 9 am. Read all comments and I answered it but never said a word, they held on for 20 seconds and then hung up. I started to say I can wait as long as you can you scammers, I will next time. i am sick with kidney dsease and do not need to be bothered. They keep messing with my home phone, I have friends with the FBI.

Just received a guy who sounded like he was in India...who claimed to be from Microsoft....I screamed at him. ( like I do everytime they call here) and he hung up.  When I called the number back it was an automated service for Dollar Rent A Car....Scam, scam, scam

I just received the same call from someone who sounded like he was from India, stating he is from Microsoft and when I called back it was an automated system for Dollar Rent a Car...this is a scam.  I scream at them whenever they call and they won't stop calling.

My caller ID said V290808081300005 as the name...He was Indian...before 8am

Called as Microsoft to discuss problems with my computer, told him i didn't own one and he hung up on me. Anyone know how to block numbers from an i-phone?

Called me BEFORE 9 AM, did not answer when caller id showed this #; no msg., no nothing...someone (FCC) really needs to crack down on ALL these SCAMMERS.

I keep getting this call but no one will talk as I looked it up on line I see it might be a company  alababa.com which I found out today someone used my bank card and I was charged $134.81 to this place and you can't get a hold of a real person to settle this manner...yes I too got scammed by whom I do not know!!!!!

This morning, a man speaking heavily accented English (Israeli or Russian, perhaps) claimed he was calling from Microsoft about a breach of my computer's firewall--coincidentally, just as I was powering up my home computer.  He wanted to give me instructions on how to fix the problem, to avoid viruses gaining access.  I told him to please take me off his calling list, and I hung up.  Interestingly, when I logged off my computer about 20 minutes later, a McAfee pop-up window advised me that a risky connection had been blocked.

This number called my 87 yr old mother and said they were calling about a problem with her computer.  Since it dials back to Dollar RENT - A - CAR, either

These SCUMMERS (a step worst than SCAMMERS) called me again.  Time to put them on the Time Warner block!

Did some looking around and that anybody could buy a "800 number" for these devious causes.

I called the number using (*67 800-800-1000) and someone answered saying "Dollar Rent-A-Car".

"Microsoft Support" called tonight claiming they were a Microsoft authorized partner wanting to know if I was the main user of the computer in the house. He also wanted to fix issues with my drivers. I told him I had a Mac which caused him to stop talking. The number on the phone was 1-800-800-1000. He didn't have an Indian accent. They sound slightly more legitimate than the "Windows Support" phone calls during the previous scam. This is a new and improved scam so be careful.

I had a call from this number at 3:30AM on a Tuesday night (Aug. 13, 2013)
I hung up on them - but still - scared the crap out of me getting a ph call in the middle of the night!

Received a call from this number and the man (sound like East Indian from India) said he is calling from Microsoft and they are receiving many calls that Microsoft windows is all messed up or something to that effect and to press the key next to CTRL which is the windows key and the letter R.  This is not legit trying to get into peoples computer to do whatever they do illegally.

Caller ID "OUT OF AREA" ... AUG 8@10:21am EDT? I do not answer callers I do not know. They did not leave a message. Prior 800notes.com indicates SCAMMER.

The caller claimed he was from Microsoft and that there was infected parts of the MS drivers on my computer.  I ask him was applications and he only said drivers.  I asked with operating system (Wind-NT, Wind--XP, or 8).  He said all of them.  I said "Wow, I don't use any of them'  He asked do you use Macintosh, I said yes.   - - - Click followed by dial tone.  Wish I have played him out a little more!
