Got a recorded call stating there was "suspicious activity on your account related to your social security number, your account has been flagged"... they don't identify the company they are calling from or the account in question and ask you to call back an 800 #. O researched online and found many people had received this cal so I did not call back.

I received a VM from this number today. I was advised that there is suspicious activity regarding my SSN and that my account has been flagged. I have received such calls in the past and have ignored them. This sounds like a scam since no name is ever left and only the number. I won't call since I would have no idea of who I'm talking to and what they want which would probably be money. I figure a legitimate collector would say who he is or send me a statement or letter.

I just received the same call, with the same message...

I have no idea who these people are.  The original call comes from 440-377-4716 with an automated message saying someone's SSN has been compromised.  The name they give is unknown to me.  They then instruct me to call the 800 number & no one is ever available.

I simply deleted it. I am sure *someone* that had my phone number once owes *someone* money. But these guys need to learn that in this century, people don't keep the same phone number for their entire lives - and that the phone company recycles the number.

I received a call at work yesterday at 12:07pm on the answering machine.  It was automated, and saying I had suspicious activity and that my account has been flagged.  It said it needed a statement from me.  This last Friday I received a call and spoke with them.  They said they were going to serve me papers either at work or home within two days.  This is BS.  Since when is a person told they are going to me served papers?  During that call they wouldn't give me any information and gave me a phone number to call back on.  This needs to stop.

I also have received calls from this number. I did speak to a man called Alex that claims I have written a bad check for a cash loan from Cash N Go. When asked where this loan was done he became very rude and told me that it was not his job to tell me about the cash loans I have gotten,never have gotten a cash loan from Cash N Go, All my loans are paid. This is another scam.

Yes it is a collections company for some company if you do an online loan. At least that is what they have told me. But I have never taken out an on line loan...

i have to total agree i have also received this automated message this saturday morning. I had called my bank to make sure that my account with them was ok and the teller also mentioned that if it were them calling they would id themselves and they would also be calling during the week not on sat. because for  one thing the business office is not open on the weekends.

i have also recieved the same recorded message aboout suscipious activity on my account and they also did not leave a company name or any type of id who was calling except for a 800# to call back. i am going to the FTC website to report this number so they can investigate it and catch these scammers. the more people that will go to the FTC website and report this number the quicker they will get caught.

And besides, if it were a bank or some other company they wouldn't be calling on a Saturday afternoon, you would most likely be hearing from them during the "work week".

I received a call this morning saying the same thing. There is suspicious activity on my account.  They have flagged my account.  They need a letter from me.  I will NOT call them back!!!!  They are not legitimate.  I have taken care of the pay day loans I owed.  I agree that they should identify the company I am supposed to owe. This is another scam.  I have already been taken by others before.  I am not falling for this one!!!!

I just spoke to someone from this company and they said that their company is called PCS. The woman asked if the last four numbers she gave was my social and when I said it wasn't she humg up in my face.

Whose # is this? Any help is appreciated.

THIS IS  A BOGUS COMPANY TRYING TO COLLECT ON A ADVANCE PAY LOAN FROOM 2003..aDVANCE PAY LOANS ARE ILLEGAL HERE SO THIS COMPANY SAID THEY HAD A WARRANT FPOR ME.tHIS IS BOGUS SAME ROUTINE SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITY ON YOUR ACCOUNT WITH YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY ITS SO HORRIBE THESE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO BE BORN CASH NET SHOULD BE GIVEN THE VIKING TREATMENT DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM

Recevied same Call a few times within past month.  Automated message also states that the account has been flagged.  Have no idea who it could be.  I have no accounts except for bank account but they always identify themselves.  Someone is really desprate for a Call back.  Maybe if they provided more info they would get a return Call. But as of now they are SOL.

Plus when you try to look the # up on Google you get alot of Middle Eastern gibberish... that should tell you something.
