This phone number is for New York Life's Telephone Interview Unit. I verified this through my New York Life insurance agent and I believe any New York Life insurance agent will give the same number if you ask who to call for policy interviews.

This is the circumstance under which I searched for the number and came to the whocallsme.com website:
The initial caller identified herself as employee of New York Life and that they were calling in conjunction to my application for Life Insurance. As this is correct, I proceeded with the telephone interview but when they asked for my social security number my sanity returned and I realized they they could be anybody trying to get information they could use to steal my identity. I told the rep that I was not comfortable answering these questions and asked for a phone number that I could call back to continue the interview. The rep was more than happy to oblige, gave me a number which I researched on the internet and found *zero* occurrences of that number. I called my insurance rep and asked for the interview number that I should call, it was the same, I called and completed the interview.
