Got a mailing; one of the sides of the exterior said "2nd Attempt," which right away made me think it was a scam (surprise, I was right). At least they admit (albeit in small print on the bottom) that they're a third-party, although of course they don't bother putting their company name on the mailing. I cant' wait for July 11 to come, which is when the "offer" expires, although they will probably just start mailing me a new "offer". Part of me wants to call them and tell them to take me off of their mailing list, but that would most likely be a waste of breath.

Got notice in mail from these people claiming my factory warranty expiring. It sounds threatening, but at the bottom in the fine print it states "this is an offer for a motor vehicle service contract. Not affiliated with the dealer or manufacturer". This is a scam attempting to scare you into purchasing a warranty from them. I never contracted with them, mine is covered by the dealer & manufacturer, at no cost to me. They get info about your auto from motor vehicle offices. DO NOT RESPOND TO THEM, THROW THE LETTER IN THE TRASH AND DO NOT CALL THEM TO RESPOND!!

Got the snailmail SCAM letter today. KNEW it was bogus because it was in my husband's name and the car is owned/registered/insured in MY name and my name ONLY.
There are articles about this SCAM on the FTC website.
THIEVES!

I get snail mail from them all the time--never had anything to do with them--I'm thinking they get their info from BMV--my warranty was with the manufacturer in 2006, new--obviously it's run out--jerks

Keep sending us letters about a car that someone crashed into and totaled earlier this year so doesn't even exist.... it would have still been under warranty anyway. Sounds like scammers to me.

They called me to say my vehicle warranty had expired, which was a flat out lie. Then they tried to sell me a new warranty. I called my dealership to confirm my coverage was still valid (which it is). They also told me I was not the first person to call with a similar story about this company.

I got one of these notices too. What they don't know is that I purchased an extended warranty from the dealership for my Ford Transit Connect when I bought the car new. That was how I knew this wasn't from Ford. All though the notice never said it was from Ford or a dealership.

They didn't call me but I googled their number. It seems like a scam to me. The last line on the mailing was
AutoCare, 851 International Parkway, Richardson, TX.

I got the same letter. I got one from them three years ago and they told me i had to give them my account info over the phone. That stopped me right there. If I can't get information done in person then i don't need it.

Also got the same mailing. Fine print says AutoCare, 851 International Parkway, Richardson, TX. Company has numerous complaints with Better Business Bureau. Buyer beware if you get an auto "warranty" from one of these companies who send out mailings to anyone and everyone.

I just got a message in the mail with this phone number on it. It says "vehicle protection department" on the paper and they are requesting I renew my vehicle protection plan. I have never contacted them before nor purchased any plans. May be the previous car owner did
