They never send statement on how much is left to pay because they are a scam....they put nothing towards your principle.  I have had money withdrawn monthly from my account.. after a very long period of time  I called to find out balance remaining and was told that I had just paid $200....that I have been paing nothing but interest for years, my initial debt was the same.   Do not allow them access to your checking account.  They are nothing but thieves and should be locked up.   I am reporting this to the authorities.

Called my daughter saying they were calling about a credit card.  Never heard of Calvary Credit anything.  I do not owen any credit card companies as I paid the ALL off last year.  They have called my workplace numerous times & offer little or no proof and/or information regarding the alleged debt.  I have heard that they are a scam company that buys up "old debt" listings and then proceeds to harass individuals and those that fall for the scam end up paying exhorbant amounts of money and absolutely NO recourse to seeing their debt resolved.  I have turned the matter over to my attorney and reported them to other national agencies.  You cannot block or put their number on a do not call listig as they have many various phone numbers beginning with either 800 or 888 0r 866 and then they have local numbers from your area that they use.

Re: 877-267-0876

For the past two months I have received telephone calls from the above referenced number to my home, cell and even work place.

This company even calls my work number almost on a daily basis and refuses to provide any message details, other than to tell the person answering the phone it is about a personal debt matter. They refuse to leave a message, contact name or even call back number and rudely hang up.

They then persistently call my home and cell numbers refusing to state what it is about unless I provide them with personal information which I refuse to do since I have already been the victim of identity theft more than 5 times, all with police reports.

Today at 9:07 AM I DEMANDED that they STOP calling my workplace or any other telephone number and if they are legitimate they MUST put things in writing. The person on the other end of the phone immediately began to talk louder, over me, telling me he was recording the telephone call.

I informed the caller that in California it is a two party consent and that I do NOT give consent to my calls being recorded. Despite this, he continued ignoring me and talking over me DEMANDING my information.

I was forced to terminate the call. I filed an FTC Complaint against them this morning and I certainly hope that someone at the FTC reads this website but also takes consumer complaints seriously, especially in this economy and with so many scrupulous companies out there waiting to steal your identity.

Sincerely
Alan

What good do all these messages do?  They are in control, we have no recourse, we are allowed to be harassed all day long, they never get punished, they can do what ever they want, they are a corporation.  We can go to Washington, we can have meetings with Congress, we can protest, we can put ourselves on a "do not call list" we can have a sex change, we can move to tin buck too, we can die...nothing...nothing we can ever do will stop anything.  We are powerless.

In the last half hour, we have gotten two calls from 800-821-2507. There is no response to my verbal "hello". I put this number on the do not call list several months ago yet still get these calls. Very frustrating!

Received an automated call for a person that does not live at this address.  I called the number and spoke with someone who wanted to know why I answered the phone if I'm not the person at the address.  I told him that the person they are looking for are at this address, but they rent the house on the same property as the business I have here.  I told them that I could not give the number of the person they are looking for since that is not my right to do so.  If they want to contact the person, they will have to figure a way to contact them without going through me.  I guess they somehow reverse searched the address and came up with my phone number.

kept receiving call from this number even after asking them to restrict their calls to me.  It started out as calvary collection agency, then it was wyhndam, it is the same people who refuse to give their address or location so that harassmaent charges can be filed.  Upon receiving the last call, i just kept calling them again, and again, and again.  They threatened to call the police and everything else but they are just full of it.  At least after around the hundreth call they stopped calling.

These jerks have bothered me for months. The recording asks for Paula Wilson. I noticed there was a number to push for every option but for Paula Wilson *not* being at my phone number, forcing me to call them to stop them. I did. The person who answered was nice and insisted that they aren't advertising or selling anything-- once I mentioned being on the Do Not Call List. But she never said the company name or why they were calling. So, who *do* they tell who they are to?

seems like these clowns call everyone under false pretenses. I love that it's up to us to call them back if it's the wrong number. LAME!

Called the company. Got answering machine. Says that they are a portfolio service. Answering machine tells you to call back during business hours. Hmm...they just called so...wouldn't that mean that it is business hours??

Are these people out of their minds?  Got a call from 877/883.7493 looking for a friend of mind.  Super rude, insisting that I pass the message and have him call "Taros" at 800/883.7493.  Asked what it's regarding and she was not at liberty to tell me.  Yeah right.  Not planning to pass any messages on their behalf, that's for sure.

I was sued by Calvary in the NY Courts over some old debt.  I hired a consumer debt defense attorney in Buffalo, NY and we easily beat their case saving me thousands of dollars.  If you are sued or contacted by them, get help.  Now I do not hear hear anything from them and didn't have to pay Calvary a dime!

Called at 8:25AM on Saturday morning, looking for my husband.  I asked if I could take a message and she said no, then I asked what it was regarding and she just restated the company name Cavalry Portfolio Services.  Anyway, I didn't like her tone, so I called the number back and asked what was so important to be calling so early.  She said they needed to talk to my husband and was he there, I said no and again asked what their business was and she stated that she couldn't tell me.  I told her not to call again, especially not that early and she stated they could call after 8AM.  Anyway, I told her she could cut the attitude and hung up.

Call from a Janet Miller regarding my account with them. Some how they have my name and work number, which I have never given out as far as I am aware. I was given a message and asked to call back to 877-218-6645. I was also given a customer ID number.  No idea who or what these people are.  Seems fishy and like a scam.

Okay guys. This article explains it all. No matter what you do, it's just going to get

worse. Do you sense a theme to everyone's problems here? Internet Phone.

http://articles.techrepublic.com.com/5100-22_11-5303692.html

These 'people' get your number and call the same way they get your email address and fill

your junk folder. Ever open a junk email and find it completely blank? (Answering a call

and there's no one there..)

Or try blocking the sender and you get the same crap from another fake address? (Blocking

one fake phone number will lead to calls from a new one.)

Worst of all, ever try actually opening a junk email and clicking on the "unsubscribe my

email address" link only to find ten new junk senders have replaced the one you got rid of?

(What do you think is happening when you actually CALL BACK one of those bogus numbers?)

Whether you're using Comcast, Verizon, Qwest, Vonage, Time Warner, or anything else...if it

uses an Internet connection, they are going to keep on coming. Report them all you want.

They don't have to abide by the Do Not Call rules. They're not CALLING, they're spamming.

Welcome to the 21st Century.
