Several calls, sometimes they just hang up, last one was an alarm company.  When you try to call back, the 800 number can't be dialed from my calling area (Canada).  Try to do call block, but it is not recognized as a valid number.   How do you stop these idiots....and always the same you-know-who accent.

Ditto! I have been receiving this call twice a day at least, and no, there is no response.  I also am on the Canadian Do No Call list, so can someone tell me what the benefit is of that?

I get calls from this number almost on a daily basis. They don't leave messages. They don't even wait for the answering machine to kick in. They hag up after two rings.

I searched the number and found out that it was listed in one of the travel books as a number from a car rental company Avis. I never had any relations with Avis.

I called the number -- 1-800-822-3131 -- and found out that it was from talklive.com. And the recorded message also announced a different number - 1-800-218-LIVE (5483).

This means, the number doesn't belong to Avis.

I believe that this is a bad marketing tactic to make you curious as to who called. And they are hoping that you will call back and listen to their loud advertisement, that tells you their website.

Shame on these guys! My number is listed as a "DO NOT CALL" and I will now report to the authorities.

Just ignore these mad people. I don't think these guys get it, but they could be sued in a class action.
