I have received calls from this "AT&T" before. This is 100% a scam.

They will set you up and sound legit, until they need you to "Say yes to the following 3 things", at which time they speak so fast you can not understand.

Easy solution to check for a scam... ask for their phone number, name and badge ID number and tell them you will return their call immediately.  Google their phone number. If legit, call them back.

I received a call, they said they were from AT and T and that my DSL service was being upgraded. Then the person said that all I had to do was "confirm" the order. So I said I was really busy right now, and told him to call me back. He told me what I was paying now for my 1.5 DSL and that the 3 would cost me 4 dollars more a month. He then said it would take only 25 seconds for the upgrade. So I said fine. During this, he said that the call would be recorded, that all I had to do was say yes to confirm. He told me my address, I said yes, he asked my name, and then said something about a contract. I said I had no contract. He said I did too, and that there were penalties if I broke it. I said fine, and got disconnected. Then I realized the caller ID said "UNKNOWN". Called the number back and got a recording for NOVA 1. I'm waiting for AT and T to call me back right now. I assumed that I had gotten disconnected from the original call, but now I think he got the one "yes" he needed from me and bailed. These people should be in jail.  Hopefully I'll speak to AT and T ina few minutes and make sure they don't switch anything on me, but I'm embarrassed I fell for it simply because I was distracted and wanted to get off the phone and get rid of this person. I wasn't even paying attention cuz I thought they WERE at and t.

Some lady, named April Ford from Nova 1, or Noble 1, called me from this company and offered me "DEAL" to switch to AT&T. She said that my service would cost me $51/months for a business line, which includes all the FCC charges and taxes and so-on and which is about $2-$4 more than what I am currently paying, and that I would NOT have to sign any contract. In addition she said I will receive a $500 debit card with this offer. So I decided to give it a try, but when I was signing up, she tried to slip 36 months agreement into my verbal contract and boy, how lucky I am that I caught her doing that. I stopped her right there and said NO, no contracts for me, so she had to re-do the whole verbal thing from scratch this time with no 36 months surprises. 2 weeks later I still don't have the promised $500 deal, so I called AT&T and they're saying that there is no such an offer and that my bill will be like $82/months, not the promised $51. So I am switching back to my old sweet Cleartel, that by the way I had for the last 3 years with no contract, no surprises and for only $46 to $48 a month, including all the taxes and FCC charges. And they are using the EXACT SAME AT&T phone lines, only for a LOT cheaper. Bye Bye AT&T and hello Cleartel! Hopefully AT&T won't give me any issues in switching back to Cleartel, but I checked and they don't have any kind of agreement on file for me, that would say anything about 36 months contract!!! Be careful people - this NOVA 1 can get you big time. If you do happen to get on the contract, you'd have to pay about $700 to a $1000 to get out of it ($20-30/month for the remaining of the 36 month on your contract)  - so watch out and BE CAREFUL!

The fastest talker I have ever heard in my life - faster than the FedEx dude - called me claiming to be from AT&T. Claimed I would save money and actually added a line on top of my existing service. I found out when the technician showed up I was losing my business fax number after 10 years. I was pretty hacked so I called AT&T and they fixed everything, filed a complaint against the vendor AND saved me $30/mo on my internet. Thanks Nova1 you DID save me money!

A sales rep called saying they were with AT&T coincidentaly when we were in the process of process of consolidating all of our service with AT&T.  The day they called we were having an issue with porting our 888 number over and I thought they were customer service.  Hearing frustration, they immediatlely said that they were my new account manager and I would be working with them.  After getting off the phone and getting several calls to confirm my conversation, I called my real AT&T account manager who looked them up in the AT&T system where they were not found.  They called back yesterday to say I needed to move my long distance over to them, and after I expressed disatisfaction with thier business practices and they hung up on me, I got a call from a supervisor trying it again.  She at least admitted that they weren't really AT&T when I asked.  Hope she got the message, I am sure she couldn't miss the click in her ear!

These people are freaking relentless!  They called at least 3x yesterday (also had several hang-ups, which I'm presuming is them), and they've already called this morning. I told them that "the 'utilities manager' does not accept phone calls", and she said "okay, we'll try back later". Sheesh! If they don't listen when I tell them that he doesn't accept phone calls, maybe I should just start hanging up and save my breath. I hate to be rude, but these calls are so damn annoying.

AT&T (or those pretending to be AT&T) are starting it again. They have called at least twice (and we've had several hangups). They threaten that our rates are going to skyrocket if we don't change plans. They've been saying that since July. When questioned they know nothing about how many lines or services we have. I do not believe this is AT&T- I think it is another phone company trying to cram us.

Received SEVERAL/MANY MANY phone calls from these people within the last week stating that they are with AT & T.  They asked to speak with the finance person, they were told that I was out of town, which was true, and they hung up or when asked what it is in reference to, they hang up or become very rude and demand that they speak with the finance officer one person said because they had to update our rates.  I returned to town today, and I called the number from my caller ID, their answering machine stated that it was Noble 1 or Mobile 1 with AT & T.  I do not have mobile services with AT & T.
