I attened Laurie McCable's seminar on 11/5/10.  Don't EVER go to one of her seminars.  She doesn't know what she is talking about and she treats the class like they are in detention and she is the teacher from hell.

There are lots of professionals tha beg to differ with you. Attended one of their sales pitches, I mean, seminars today. The trainer was unbelievably rude and condescending.  She wasted by money, and more importantly, my time. What a deception!

Calls from this number are simply sales calls, which our office receives WAAAAAAAAY too many of on a DAILY basis.  Regardless of positive OR negative posts on Google, we will treat it just like any other sales call and disregard.  Companies doing mass emails, faxes and calls need to get real.  If we need your service, WE WILL CALL YOU. Simple as that.

I attended a conference yesterday in East Hanover and had the misfortune to meet Ms Laurie McCabe.  She is the most disrespectful, brash, obnoxious, egotistical person I have ever encountered.  She is loud and shrill and speaks to people in such a condescending and mocking way that I can't figure out why anyone would sit through this seminar.  Clearly this is a scam designed to make you think you are there to learn something when in fact you are there to be intimidated into buying their product.

I have too much self respect to sit through that even if I did pay for it.  I got up quietly, without comment or fanfare, to leave and she began screaming at me.  She said "Go ahead and leave. You're just proving you don't care about your practice."  She invited us to fill our an eval form but reminded us that she could care less what we right because she will never see any of us again.  She also told us we couldn't go to the bathroom until 10:00 and not to worry our bladders won't burst.  We were told we were not allowed to have coffee until 10:00.  This comment was made while she was preparing herself a cup of tea.

I of course called the company and they are non-responsive.  I realize now that they are well aware of her behavior and endorse it.  Intimate and sell is their goal.  I would rather lose money than be treated with such blatant disrespect.  The company is a scan and she is a low class huckster.  They haveb't heard the last of me.

National Provider Compliance Corp. is a scam company.  The seminars are not what is described in their literature.  They do not call back.  They do not have customer service standards.  They are a hoax and their tactics are criminal.

If you have an issue, call the office. If you are contracted there are ways to negotiate with them, I assure you. I have done it! I feel bad you had a hard time, and feel ripped off. It worked for me. If the book was missing they will send you one immediately!

lol! that's funny, and true. If just 1/4 of the time had been spent applying the info instead of picking apart the seminar leader, they, like so many others would have made 10xs what it cost to be there in the next 2 wks.

I had the same exact experience today. It was the most awful seminar that I have ever been to. Laurie was the presenter today. We were only supposed to be ther for 4 hrs but it ended up to be 5. I walked out with no more knowledge than I walked in. I sat in the front row but at the second 1/2 I had to move to the back of the room because he loudness gave me an huge headache! I have sent a nastygram to the NPCC which I expect no response to, also sent a letter to the AAPC asking why they would ever associate their good name with them. She tald a whole bunch of stories that had nothing to do with coding or even medical issues. She did read a letter of a customer who thanked her for her services, Not only was she trying to sell her products she was also trying to sell her personal services to other practices as a consultant! I had to check my brochure several times because I thought that I had signed up for the wrong class.

I find it hilarious that NPCC occasionally posts rebuttals to comments but somehow places the blame on everyone but themselves. Only threats of libel, slander or the person "forgot or lost" materials at their seminar. If they would do the right thing, perhaps all of us wouldn't have to resort to discussion boards to express our frustrations. We received a call today, very rude and aggressive, and the woman refused to identify herself, the company or what she wanted beyond speaking to the mediacre billing department. Then when we asked again why she was calling she abruptly hung up. My receptionist was shaking after the call. Thank goodness for caller ID and the internet. Can't believe they're still in business with these sorts of tactics. NPCC, if you're reading this, GIVE IT UP! Call was from 619-668-8784. Oh yeah, and the posts that claim they're happy with the seminars and services, personally I am highly suspicious as to whether they're actual customers or planted.

If you are a contracted provider you may have already agreed to waive certain rights, such as the right to collect payment for additional information.  This is covered in the seminar, and we encourage you to renegotiate your contract with the assistance of an attorney to get out of bad contract provisions.  We do teach tactics that will work even for practices under contract, and in all out of network situations.

The Gold Book that you refer to is separate from the main package.  If you forgot it at the class or were never given one with your purchase, you should have contacted us directly so that we could solve the issue, rather than complain anonymously online leaving us helpless to resolve the situation.  Please feel free to contact our office to receive a replacement for any missing or defective merchandise.

Patient collections is absolutely an advertised portion of National Provider Compliance Corporation's Local Medicare Changes seminar.  Other topics include ICD-10 preparation, HIPAA 5010 conversion, insurance overpayment recoupment appeals, federal ERISA laws, and compliance.  I'm surprised to hear that you didn't learn anything of value from any of these other segments.

Our Seminar Leaders are all very knowledgeable with years of experience teaching these courses.  We stand by the tactics and strategies that we teach 100%.  While not every idea we espouse may fit your practice well, others that we teach surely will.

National Provider Compliance Corporation is a big believer in supporting local businesses and engaging our local economy.  We, just as many providers, have outstanding collections from people who enjoyed our services, but did not pay their bill.  In those circumstances we chose to use a local collection agency that happened to be located in our same office building to take care of outstanding accounts.

We bill fairly and accurately only for services rendered and products delivered.

The National Provider Compliance Corporation website at www.providercompliance.com, is the first and second result on Google when you search the company name.  We always have our most updated seminars posted on our calendars there as well as course, product, and service descriptions.

The principals of NPCC have been in the business of healthcare practice training since 1982, indeed giving us decades of experience to draw from.

We do not have indecency on our website, so I can't speak to that experience.  It's possible that the link on this 'other search engine' was a forgery, or that your computer has been infected with spyware causing such inconveniences.

National Provider Compliance Corporation is unequivocally not Doctor's Assistance Corp.  It sounds as if you had a very bad experience with this other company, but do not libel us by attaching our name to those issues.  It's simply not true.  We can't speak to Doctor's Assistance Corp's methods, but every strategy taught in a NPCC seminar is proven to work.

National Provider Compliance Corporation has been conducting business via first class mail with follow up phone calls for years, ultimately benefiting tens of thousands of practices nationwide.

We pay for an 800 number in order to collectively save our customers thousands of dollars in phone bills when they call for additional information about a seminar, call to get help with their claims and practice management after the seminar, or otherwise need to contact us.  Many large corporations, including almost every Fortune 500 company has an 800 line.

Not every state is going to have different changes.  However, each carrier, such as Palmetto, Trailblazer, NGS, and so forth (which each cover several states) will have different quarterly changes to their processes, coverages, and rates.  Those types of changes are precisely what our courses cover, and they vary from region to region and carrier to carrier.

I received a call regarding a seminar for ICD-10 & new Medicare Compliance info, sounding informative I agreed to attend July 28, 2011. The registration came by fax from National Provider Compliance Corp. It appears extremely 2nd rate while asking for credit card info. I searched their webpage to register and found no online registration. Using their "Contact Us" I attempted to send an inquiry stating the fax I receive was amature, I'm looking for verification. My email would not "SEND". I googled National Provider and found your notes. The seminar sounds educational for a reasonable fee of $147.00. Am I understanding it is the products and services they try to sell you at the seminar at people are unhappy with? Did you receive benefits from ATTENDING?  Thanks

Thank God for people adding to this post.  i just received a suspicious call from these people and I could smell the scam already.  They left me a message that sounded like they were some kind of authority and I had to call back today or else.  Turns out yes, they sell seminars and no, I'm not interested after reading this thread.

"This is Mindy with National Provider Compliance calling in regard to the new local Medicare Code and compliance changes that are taking place as of January. I DO NEED a return phone call to 800-669-3328 Ext 44?

I'm a former FBI organized crime investigator now working in the medical community. The above message was one left on our practice phone line. My instinct was that this was not legitimate. It seemed that they were attempting to pass themselves off as a US government agency by the official sounding name and the "govt agent" demeanor used by the caller. Even if they offered a legitimate service, using such a deceptive tactic should make everyone question their legitimacy. Don't waste your or your companies time by calling them back.
