Apparently they're calling everyone. I don't even shop there, have a card, nor have given them my personal cellphone number! THey called to "make sure I received their invitation to a sale"  and to advertise what they will be having for sale. They left a VM. I just want to know how and why they have my private number!?

not true, i have not bought anything from nm recently nor did i contact them, so it IS telemarketing.  they left no message so it clearly is not an important call.  i'll be canceling my card today.

sick of it, i never placed an order, but today i got a call from it. I dnt know how they get my number. It's a different way of marketing their company. F.... . It seems not only me who got this call.

They just called me and left a message saying I haven't shopped with them in a while and offered me a 50.00 gift card via Email - said to look for it in Email and if I have any questions or I want to place an order on the phone to call the number everyone is complaining about.  IF and only IF I used that, I would call the NM number on the website, not the 800 number everyone is complaining about. weird. very weird.

Of course it's a telemarketing number.  "Tina" might have the best intentions, but she clearly does not understand the meaning of telemarketing.  I've shopped Horchow and NM many months ago and have absolutely no reason to expect a call from them.  But they just called from this 800 number and did not leave a message.  Does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out.

I do think it is a telemarketing number.

It's Neiman Marcus Direct, online and catalog divisions. I actually work for this company, obviously very reputable and upscale; this isn't a telemarketing call!

If you're getting a call from this number, you've either placed a recent order or you e-mailed the company's website, www.neimanmarcus.com, with a question about a specific product.

I often ask questions about our products, too, for my own personal knowledge, and I get calls from this number on my cell phone.

This is also the number for Bergdorf Goodman and Horchow [www.bergdorfgoodman.com or www.horchow.com], so if you have dealt with any of these companies recently, including catalog orders/questions, this is who's calling you.

We do NOT do call banks for marketing or even do ANY outbound calls for other than these reasons, so, again, please don't consider it telemarketing; it's just NMD trying to get ahold of you for something about YOUR order/info YOU requested!

This number calls daily....sometimes twice in a row.  I'm sick of it.
