It's is Comenity Bank. If you have a Pier 1 credit card, this is where your statement come from.
| Anne 2014-05-02 04:49:50 Debt Collector |
This is Comenity Bank - they are the also the bank for Pier 1 imports. They must handle several stores. I am late on my payment so they just called me. She only left a number so I did not return the call. Looking at the above comments, I realized it is regarding m Pier 1 account.
Like others, I will not return a call to anyone if I don't know who they are or who they are representing.

Thanks.... I just a few minutes ago got a return call from their 'Consumer Relations Specialist'. The women asked for a person with the same name as the person who signed their letter to my FDIC complaint. When I told the women the name she was asking for was her fellow employee she replied that she was not sure which name she was calling.
These people don't even know who they want to harass. They are as unprofessional a bunch as I've seen. I am going to pursue this with my lawyer as the Comenity/WFNNB (or what ever they are calling themselves this week) bunch can not be trusted with either telephone or written words.
The part that really upsets me is that they are out here arrogantly accusing anyone and everyone when they are the real liars and 'want to be' cowardly thugs.

Try this reference http://www.linkedin.com/company/comenity that leads to http://www.bbb.org/cincinnati/business-review ... ord-oh-11000579 credit card services.

Both those links reference exactly the company described! Hoovers a business directory, business information and the BBB report for their headquarters. You want to know who you're dealing with use the links!

The name on the letter I received in answer to my FDIC complaint shows "World Financial Network Bank (WFNNB), A Comenity (SM) company".... and mailing address. I have no idea about Hoovers?
I did try the BBB site but nothing on these that I could find.
My next move is a lawyer willing to take the case for a percentage and let that be the answer. I already have a document from them (Comenity) as well as 'many' verbal promises that I'll be left alone. They are plain and simply liars and will respond to nothing that even begins to make sense. Maybe a few dollars out of their collective pockets will get their attention. I have nothing to lose. And their apparently of the opinion that most Americans won't take action..... Surprise! My previous complaint to FDIC should have alerted them to the fact that I would fight back.

Are you referring to? http://www.hoovers.com/company-information/cs ... f51bc43635.html their BBB report show's many alternate names. http://www.bbb.org/centralohio/business-revie ... lumbus-oh-6558/ Appears they answer BBB complaints but you'll have to work through their predatory BS.

More info on this caller. They are World Financial Network Band / Comenity.
There customer service number is 800-675-5685 but good luck at getting an answer.
These people are your basic nasty bill collectors. They can be reached at P.O. Box 182025 Columbus, Ohio 43218-2025.
Best to call/contact FDIC and file a complaint if your complaint is legitimate. I did and they quit calling me for a while but started again this AM. So much for them purging my number from their files.
My next step is a ambulance chaser type of lawyer who takes the case solely on percentage of settlement. The letter they sent to me via FDIC complaint was apparently a lie.

Received call this AM. People asked for a name I was called about from some time back. Called the number back after *57 and after asking was told they are Comenity Bank. First girl said my number had previously been deleted from their call list. I said then why you just call. I asked for a supervisor and was hung up on. Next call same crap, asked for supervisor, got a male child like person who said he was a supervisor. Again told me my number on DO NOT CALL list. I asked for Corporate Office address or number and he did not know. Then said hold, he'd get it. Then hung up on again. I think by looking at dates of these reports and the use of a previous used name this is a company that changed names, but same scum working there. P.S> I have no open charge cards with anyone.

I got a call and voicemail saying to return the call no company name or reason. If it's like these people say, I do have a lane Bryant card.

In the USA it is the duty of the executor of an estate to ensure all debts are paid. It's hard to believe, but when you die, you're debts don't go away. It's also worth mentioning that the executor of an estate can be held responsible for errors in settling an estate. However: If the funds of the deceased (after funeral expenses) are not enough to cover debts, that's where it should end. I said should because one of the fastest growing sector of debt collection is going after relatives of a deceased, who died with debts. They are not responsible for them, but they try & shame you into paying.

I actually called and talked to them. My mom had a Victoria's Secret credit card and she died before it was paid off. I think she listed me as another number of contact. I simply had them update her account to show that she was deceased and that was it. It's a bill collector. If you owe and see this number then don't answer.

It's not a scam, it's a bill collector. Commenity Bank issues store credit cards for Brylane Home, One Stop Plus, Jessica London, Chadwicks, Roaman's, Express, J. Crew, KingSize, Victoria's Secret, The Avenue, The Buckle, and the Pottery Barn. There may be others, but those are the cards I know they currently issue.

I got a call from a gentleman stating he was calling from Commenity Bank. He left a number along with a 7 digit extension number. I called the number and got a recorded voice operator stating I needed to press 1 if I knew the extension or 2 if I didn't. The company's recording does not tell you any information upon calling. I hung up without pressing any numbers. This to me sounds like a sham. Keep your personal information to yourself and do not trust this company.

I got a call from this number. The man who left a message said he was from Community Bank calling to discuss a personal business matter that requires immediate attention, and that I was supposed to call to discuss the options that were available. He said to call him back at the same 800 number, and gave a 7 digit extension number. I called the 800 number back, but did not dial the extension. The first greeting I got said something to the effect of "If you know your party's extension, press 1." It didn't even say what company I had called. A woman answered shortly afterward. I gave my name and phone number (because it was obvious from the message that was left that they had that information). She wanted to confirm my mailing address, but I told her I did not wish to disclose personal information, not being aware of having any business with a company called Community Bank. She argued with me about my address being personal (she didn't think it was). She insisted that I did have business with the company, but she would not tell me anything further unless I was willing to give her more information about myself. I refused.

I got a call from this number, which I have not return becasue no information was left as to who was calling on why. I'm sure it's some kind of scam. I wish there was something to stop these people.

This is a mobile 800 number originating in India. Not sure of company name but pretty certain it is a scam
