calls every single day and has never left a message or spoken when i answer even after one ring. i didnt even know they were a debt collector til i googled their number and they've been harassing us for nearly a year now and never speaking up or leaving a message

Call from this # said NCB on caller ID. Left a voice mail saying call back to <someone> at extension 2104. Suspect scam / fishing for closed debts because (1) voice mail did not mention any name of person in the house and (2) no one in our house has outstanding debts or all debts have been legitimately resolved.

While I am on the FTC DNC list, only legitimate companies abide by this. Thank goodness for my Ooma Premier service on my VOIP. When I get these calls, it's just once. I add to my personal blacklist and I never hear from them again.

I got a call from this number and they left a 2 second message which said (as best as I could make it out (it was garbled)) "obtained will be used for that purpose". That's all the message said. From that, I would say that it's a person or agency trying to collect a debt. No company name, my name was never mentioned, just what was said above.

I keep getting calls from NCB management for someone I do not know, they keep calling insisting that I am someones wife and I/we owe money?

Everyone that posts here does so because they either can't afford to pay a debt because of the piss poor economy or the actual debt is not theirs. Yes, and I am one of those people that have debt. I am one of those people that can not afford to pay that debt and let me tell you why. 1 third of my paycheck every month goes to pay for gas and insurance for my vehicle just to drive back and forth to work every day, another third of my paycheck goes to pay for mobile home payment and lot rent. 3 fifths of my paycheck goes to pay for utilities and the final 2 fifths of my paycheck goes for food to feed my family. Now you Communist/Republican idiot, why don't you show me the Mercedes in my pinto paycheck. It is because of people like you, who work for or are affiliated with predatory lending institutions who say they can help but only hurt you in the long run. It's because of simple minded jerks like yourself, UNK that over 40% of what used to be the greatest country in the world are in the same position or worse then I am. You would have me loose my home just to pay a debt that your crappy company bought from a creditor. Sure why not? Why live in a $12,000 trailer when I can move my family Under a $6,000,000 bridge? Reporting unwanted call from 800-828-1110 - They say they're a debt collectore but I have no outstanding debts and they don't identify who my debt is with. stop the harrassment!!! Hard to make out the company name as they skim by it so quickly but sounds like NCV Management Services

This is a Debt collector that called my personal number looking for my husband. My phone is unlisted and I have no idea how they got my number.
They are rude and pushy DONOT tell them anything.

Many debt collection agencies buy old debt.  Once you make a payment, the statute of limitations for the debt resets, making you liable for a debt that could not be legally collected until any payment, no matter how small, was made.

Wouldn't it be interesting if debt collectors actually followed the rules and LAWS thay are supposed to? It's so lovely to get a call from an agency-you've proven your sister is dead and they keep calling you-heartless

Gal named Jan demanded that I call her back.  I checked here and see that this is something called NCB. Well shortly afterward, I got a call from the lawyers from the debt settlement company that apparently knew they had called me and told me it was in violation and that they are going to be able to go after them for $1000 for this violation.  Nice :)

This number called my phone and left a message telling  that Edgardo Castro a name whom I guess is from the embassy of the philippines  that i will call the extension 1794 but his name is john kennedy. Idiot stopping calling me i know my debts you don't have to harass me.

I'm law enforcement and this number is most likely being used by individuals involved with identify theft.

Never, Never, Never answer a call from a blocked, "private number", 800, or 888 number...always have them leave a message and then you decide if the call is worth returning.

I'd happily sue you and take 25% of your 45k. That's a great suggestion, hopefully one of your creditors will follow it, garnish your wages and teach you a real lesson in how to live frugally.

Hello "DUH".  I doubt that you will read this, but I hope that others may benefit from this.  "Failure to pay a debt is the CAUSE of a recession.  If you thing differently, not only are you wrong but youre ignorant!"  Now, aside from the obvious grammatical error in "youre", allow me to enlighten you to the "Big Picture".  I was the teaching assistant for economics in college, so I have a bit of insight here.  The recession was engineered by a private consortium of banking families with vast corporate holdings and political influence.  They are the only entity legally allowed to print money in the US.  Like many others, your ignorance is obvious in the naivety of your statement.  The Federal Reserve Bank is NOT an agency of the US government.  It is a PRIVATE banking organization.  If you doubt that, then do your homework.  These individuals multiply their wealth by engineering and amplifying the natural cycles in the economy.  Why?  Consider this.  Person A has a 500 Million USD investment in Stock of company B, trading at $100 per share.  However, his percentage do not give him a majority ownership or even a seat on the company Board.  Yet, for his strategic interest, he would like to influence the decisions and direction of company B.  The opportune moment comes during an economic downturn, when there is a run on the stocks.  Person A pushes the market by dumping the stock, and in turn ignites a flurry of trade positions as others follow suit and liquidate their holdings of stock in company B.  For the sake of simplicity, let us assume that person A has a target re-aquisition price of $50 per share.  When this strike price is reached, person A immediately steps back in the market and snaps up massive blocks of shares from panicked sellers.  The professional traders and savvy investors, seeing the reversal of the trend, also start buying up the shares, and after a period of time the market equilibrates near its former trading position as it corrects. Again, for simplicity, let us assume that it returns to $100.  Now, with the investment of time and trading fees, person A has cleverly doubled his stake in the company, and likely acquired a Board seat or even majority control.  After a few decades, you can imagine the collection of companies one can acquire...especially if you happen to be a partner in the biggest private bank in the world.

Except in most states, the statute of limitations on old debt is less than 9 years. So you probably weren't legally obligated to pay it, but you did anyway.

These folks leave questionable messages and based on other posts do have to wonder how reputable they are....IF they are debt collectors they obviously did not "get the memo" re: how these things are supposed to work.   The voice on our answering machine was female and sounded threatening.  Will try and report to DNC/Attorney General's office - may work, may not but....

I to am getting messages from this number, they will not stop calling my work. I know what I owe, I just finished going thru some medical issues and It's hard on one income to pay my debts and medical bills, I am a cancer survivor and when I get back on my feet I will pay what I owe, but if they keep calling my job I'm gonna lose it, then how am I gonna pay it back.

This company has called me and my parents (I am in my mid-thirties) to harass us about a debt that is not owed. This is ridiculous and I don't seem to have any recourse.

Same number, extension 1339.  Bob called my mom this time.  Called my dad before.  What I really wanna know is how they get these numbers.  Exactly what is the scam here?  All they are doing is calling and asking for me.  When told that it's not my phone number, they just leave a call back number, no questions, no fishing for information, so what is the scam?
