You can sue for 1,000 bucks in federal court for an FDCA violation. Contact an attorney, most wont charge you because FDCA (I think I may have the acronym wrong) violation make the company pay your attorney fees as well.

Yes there is something you can do. Inform this person that by law they have the right to contact this person but not harass them and if you do not stop calling I will be forced to turn my company's incoming phone records over to the company Lawyer. Thank you and have a nice day.

Yes, in the contractual agreement on a debt you normally agree to allow the debt to be sold if you are in default, however, they do not yave to right to even contact you if you write them and tell them you have no intent on paying. If they do, there are a lot of FDCA or whatever lawyers who will sue for free and get u 1000 bucks if u record or prove it somehow.

Very simple, go to Amazon.com and order a Pro Call Blocker for around $50. When you get it, enter ALL the numbers from these parasites and you will never get another call from them. The call blocker holds 1500 numbers, is easy to program, and has a two year warranty. It took me about three weeks to finally stop getting calls, but IT WORKS! I have no stock in the company that makes it, but it's worth every penny of the $50 to finally get even with these parasites.

First of all, don't panic. This is a collection agency that got your number from a random number generator or a former lender you had an account with. Want to get even? OK, if you have the nerve, pick up the call on the first or second ring. Anything more and they will hang up. If you get a female "representative", talk dirty to her, REAL dirty! Use VERY abusive and coarse language! If they don't like it, tell them to turn you in to the cops. If you get a male, do the same thing! They will soon get tired of this, I promise. If you can't bring yourself to doing this, play along with them. Give them bogus info from a script you write out in advance. Give them a phony SS number, credit card number, address, neighbor info, etc. Give them anything they want and give them an account number from RAB, Inc, the company who is calling you from 800-829-7750. Tell them you are SO SORRY you have missed your payments,  but you had to pay your debt to your drug dealer. Lastly, report them to http://www.dhs.gov/, the Department of Homeland Security. These people will take your complaint and really build a fire under RAB, Inc. The Do Not Call Registry is a JOKE! That department is broke and has no funds for enforcement, but the DHS has unlimited cash to burn and LOVES to look good to their bosses in Congress, so give them something to do.

Getting calls from this number. One ring and a hang-up. I'm serious, only one ring. Not going to call them back. Got to be a wrong number because we are not behind on anything. It is aggravating though.

This case is closed here. You're a fraudulent/bogus debt collection outfit. 3rd party at best. Most likely pure BS.
Everyone coming to this site will see that quickly.
Anyone getting a call from you will demand a valid notice of validation. Which you will not supply. Gee, let's all wonder why?

I've already responded to your posts. Now you can respond with your valid physical address. So that people can be sure to mail those Cease/Comm. letters to a valid physical address. Via Certified/Registered mail. Return receipt.
Why is it that I doubt you'll be posting anything more than a PO box at a strip-mall mail center?

It's a collection agency called Regional Adjustment Bureau. When you call the number back, someone answers the phone and identifies the company as such. If you are getting calls from this number you either have a debt to clear up or you are listed on someone's credit report as someone associated with the debtor. A "reference". if you will. Being on the "Do Not Call" list does not exclude you from being contacted by collection agencies. It says so on the DNC website..

"Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all. Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted, as would calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship, or those to whom you?ve provided express agreement in writing to receive their calls. However, if you ask a company with which you have an existing business relationship to place your number on its own do-not-call list, it must honor your request."

This is a collection agency. They aren't "stealing" information from your cell phone, they are calling references that you submitted on an application for some form of credit (student loans, payday loans, etc.) These references end up on your credit report as "associated with" and can/will be called and harassed by creditors and collection agencies, even if you didn't give them to this specific company.

If you are going to publicly accuse a company of being "identity thieves" you may want to research that claim first. People who come to these websites are looking for correct information on who is calling them. If they are taking incorrect information to heart, then they spread the false information themselves. When you get these phone calls, it's a good idea to call them back to find out who they are. It's easy enough to hang up after they identify themselves. I mean, they already have your phone number. You might want to find out who you owe money to and clear up that debt, after all.

Disgusted with three or more calls from this number everyday. I do not answer unknown callers. Very annoying. Can't they be stopped? I am on a no call list but apparently it does no good to be on it.

This company called and left no message. I called back. The background noise sounded like a telemarketer boiler room. I asked several time to know the name of this company. They provided no information and they said the call was a mistake. My number is registered with the national do not call registry.

This company calls my personal number, my work number, my relatives, will not specify who they are, where they are, their physical address. Some dude named Michael Franklin wants me to verify last 4 of my SSN. I am not giving any information to any person I do not know and refuses to identify themselves. This is an identity theft network and is under investigation by the Feds for Identity Theft. Everytime they call my cell number, my client list on my cell is then called. The only way they have that is by stealing it off my phone. If you see this number, do not answer. If they call your work and relatives and so forth report them to the Consumer protection agency. These are identity thieves.

I do not answer these unknown, unlisted calls. I get many of them. What I would like to know is where is a persons private protection if they are the holder of a unlisted phone number and also on a no call list!
