Got a call on my cell 9:30 PM E.T., claiming it was from TD Canada Trust offering me extended health insurance. He knew my surname. After a shrt while, when he felt he couldn't convince me suddenly I hear a busy tone meaning he hung- up.

In my case, the call from that number came from American Express, offering some of their insurance crap.  Because I am an Amex cardholder, they can call me and the National Do Not Call registry does not apply.

That number called a few times and there seemed to be no one at the other end.  Once someone did talk to me, it turned out to be a call center for American Express Canada offering products for Costco Amex holders.

i was so annoyed that i called the number and its a telemarketing message and you can unsubscribe live on the phone your number.....

Just got the call (again for the fifth time), didn't answer and they didn't leave a message, I answer once, about a month before it's a telemarketing company, want to sell insurance or other stuff. I will call the agency to make sure they remove my cell phone number from their list.

I got a call from this number 800-831-9721, said from AMEX. Strange! Please catch these scam bad guys!

Even if you're on the Do Not Call list...you're still ON a list!
It's easily sold to companies who either outsource from international resources....or are already out of the country.  Sucks, I know...so much for privacy!

These people call every day and it is clear that it's telemarketing. I want to report them because our phone number is on the National Do Not Call list, and they call anyway. Very annoying!

vous faites 1 ou 2 selon que vous désirez la suite en anglais ou en français.
ils se présentent et demandent si vous désirez que votre numéro soit retiré de la liste d'appel et selon le cas vous pressez sur un numéro: un message enregistré nomme votre numéro et vous demande de confirmer que vous souhaitez retirer ce numéro de la liste et suite à votre confirmation,un message vous garantit que ce sera fait dans un délai de quelques heures (48hres)...

Donc, je verrai bien si cela a fonctionné...

moi aussi je recevais des appels et aussitôt après avoir répondu, on me fermait la ligne au nez... presque tous les jours...Je ne comprends pas ce à quoi cela rimait, il me semble qu'il s'agisse d'une très mauvaise stratégie de marketing... à moins qu'ils ne mesurent notre degré de patience...

I called it just now because they asked for my husband.It is a telecommunication company involved with fortune 500.My husband is a small business owner and l assume they want him to advertise or something.I was also told by a police officer in my area some bill collectors disguise their number with a blocker dont know how its done but if you dial the # back and press 1 for english and wait a sec you can get your name removed from this list within 30 seconds.It will be a recording not a person so you need not talk to anyone.

I just tried phoning back the number to remove my number. The number they said back to me wasn't my number. Should I enter in my number? Or are they fishing?

To remove your number from their list call them back @ 800-831-9721 and follow the instructions.

These guys are shady dealers and scammers and if you get a call from them file a 1088 Complaint with the FCC at https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/consumer.do and if you are on the National Do Not Call List, file a Complaint at https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx.

If the government gets enough complaints from you, we can put these guys out of business.

The number 1-800-8319721 belongs to Gemma Communications (http://www.gemmacom.com/indexenglish.html) and they call people on behalf of Fortune 500 company ...

To remove your number from their list call them and follow the instruction.

Je viens d'Avoir l'appel et je viens de suivre les conseils de DoftheC.  J'espere que ca va marcher

cette appèle ce présentais en me demandant des informations sur moi genre nom, addresse,mon salaire, ou je travail, combien je gagne et aussi MON NUMÉRO D'ASSURANCE SOCIAL. IL voulait m'offrir une demande de crédit ainsi qu'une carte de crédit visa or. Il me demandait si j'avais d'autre carte comme mastercard et american express. Il parlais en francais et disait travailler pour la banque MBNA.
