As of mid 2012, the scammers/telemarketers no longer have this phone number. It is now owned by an IT company based in Columbia, South Carolina.  It is our helpdesk number and is not used for telemarketing.

Travel1Canada is TOTAL SCAM.

We signed for the whole trip. Then they cancelled our cruise. They forced us to take the 'tour' in FT lauderdale, it was over 5 hs instead of 1 and a half, we lost a whole day! Then we need to do the tour again in Orlando... no way! It´s not worth it. ITS SCAM!! DON´T EVER BUY THIS PACKAGE!!!

We got a call from Gordon to say we were selected for trips at greater than $2000 at a cost of approximately $300. He said to call 1-800-832-4670 with code #767. I called them to take us off their call list.

This scammer is travel1canada.com and travel1usa.com with the same IP address 69.65.3.168 and registered to domainsbyproxy which is a favorite tactic of scammer-owners who want to hide. Owners of legit businesses have no need to hide. travel1canada is a live website. travel1usa is also live but simply redirects to travel1canada. This scammer has scammed and/or is scamming on the 5 numbers below (includes this number) that I can find so far. Following each number are the scammer comments that were simply copied and pasted from number to number -- this shows the 5 numbers are associated with the same scammer -- while legit posts report their calls were associated with travel1canada and travel1usa which the shills do not deny.

Posts report receiving faxed offers of fabulous holidays at an amazingly low cost. R U Serious?'s 16 Mar 2011 reply to gho http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-800-832-4670/2 says:

"Question 1. Is this offer legit? Answer=Yes, Its a Vacation Ownership Vacation package You are required to attend a tour of the Orlando resort but for your time you get a rental car for 7 days, The rest of the locations the "tour" is optional not required but if you do the tour at the other locations you get more free stuff like upgrades to condo's etc." and

"Question 2. Why is it so cheap? Its so cheap because the developer of the resort is in  vacation ownership, They pay these companies to get you to the resort to take the tour so they resort pays for 70% of your vacation costs to get you there. Why you ask? because 1 out of 10 couples that take the tour spend between $15,000- $50,000+ on vacation ownership. Which is more than enough to cover the other 9 that dont. what they get out of the other 9 is word of mouth advertising."

Which means THIS IS A TIMESHARE TOUR DISGUISED AS A "VACATION" WHERE YOU WILL BE HARASSED TO BUY! BUY! BUY! ON YOUR "VACATION". The scammers are *MISREPRESENTING* a timeshare tour as a vacation! I suspect your cost includes the 30% for *all* the "more free stuff" "at the other locations" so if you decline (fight off!) the other-location offers, you'll be declining stuff you've already paid for and the scammers get to keep your 30%. And won't you be p*ssed to find out you were *FAXED* over and over again for a TIMESHARE TOUR DISGUISED AS A VACATION!?

This Company Holds major merchant accounts to be able to accept visa, mastercard, american express So if it was a scam those 3 companies would revoke there merchant privileges. Especially American Express, If your company accepts it ask someone who knows how "No Nonsense" they are with there merchant privileges.

Question 2. Why is it so cheap? Its so cheap because the developer of the resort is in  vacation ownership, They pay these companies to get you to the resort to take the tour so they resort pays for 70% of your vacation costs to get you there. Question 3. Why do I get faxs even after I ask them to stop sending them? Well for the mental giants on this post, its quite simple You live in Canada, they are based out of the United States. So they dont have to follow your Do not Call list Only the U.S. Do not Call list as long as the fax originates in the U.S.
WOW, I bet most of you are over paid if you couldnt figure that one out! Maybe try and put your number on the U.S. Do not call list?

I called the company about a fax that came in at my work.  I was a similar "to good to be true" deal.  $368 per person (kids free) for 9 days in FL with 3 day cruise...  etc.    They also had "only 2 left"...  coincidence???  Likely not.  The woman was polite and didn't pressure a whole lot...   but indicated that it is safe since I would be paying by credit card and so I would be protected.  Last I checked credit card companies aren't liable for customers carelessness or gullability.
I am staying away from this "deal" / possible scam.   Sounds way to good to be true.

The TCPA or Telephone Consumer Protection Act, 47 USC 227, prohibits unsolicited faxes to home or business. If you got ripped off or even if not but you want to get these f-ers then sue them for sending unsolicited faxes. You can win up to $11,000 PER FAX. Seriously. All you have to do is find them, serve them with court papers and PROVE what you are saying. Use a naca.net atty if you are too scared to do it yourself. There are some loopholes but if they sent you an unsolicited fax and dont have any prior business realtionship with you then they are going down as long as you can prove they did what they did. This is how to put these jerks outta business!

I gave my home phone number as a fax number when I enrolled somewhere ( cant remember to who ) since I expected an immediate fax response.  The must have sold it to a contact list and I had calls fax calls day and night.  It has taken a year to block all except the Travel Center at 1800 832 4670.  I have called that number as well as the 1866 253 5071 number numerous times - and as someone commented "fat chance" to get off the lost.  If I knew what their fax number was I could block it but the live people you talk to give me incorrect info.

They are registered as a seller of travel - Reg. No ST36267.  Does that mean something?

Has anyone got off the list yet.

TIME SHARE SCAM
TRAVEL CENTER ORLANDO FLORIDA USA
SPECIAL OFFER FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL TO SAY ?THANK YOU?.

I just fell for a time share scam and lost $798.

The company faxes a 70% discounted holiday offer.  I rang the ?Corporate Travel Department? on 1 800 832 4670.  I said I was in the Army with DND and a Ms Linda Shear (SIC) said this was a ?special offer for military personnel to say ?thank you??.  The holidays were from another company that had used them as bonus and incentives, but had not used them all.  The Travel Center was therefore selling them on at Admin cost only, reduced from $2600 to $399 per adult.  They said the special offer had sold like hotcakes and that only 2 were left.

I discussed at length what the holiday included: 8 nights accommodation, tickets for Disney Land, and an all inclusive cruise to the Bahamas.  I was told that as the firm was passing these tickets on at no profit, they could not be refunded.  There then followed a lot a spiel about how you could sell the package on, or transfer parts there of, to friends etc.

I fell for the hard sell and agreed to buy 2 adult tickets.  I was passed to the accounts department, a Mr William Lopez, who repeated (from a script) the salient points, including the non refundable payment.  This conversation was recorded 1800 326 1092.

Subsequently (5 days later) I found 2 faxes on different machines within my place of work, a DND HQ.  The same package was offered for different prices.  I  rang the company and got disjointed responses.  Only then did I go on line and check!  The web is awash with details of this Time Share Scam.

They use substandard accommodation in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and a cruise ship to the Bahamas, just read the appalling reports:

Fort Lauderdale Ramada Plaza Hotel & Resort
Imperial Majesty Regal Empress

I paid on my CIBC visa and have filed a report to CIBC Visa who are investigating.
However they have said that as I offered my card details, it is highly unlikely that I will get my money back.

I have sent 2 recorded letters to the Company, within the stipulated 10 days of purchase, demanding my money back.  But the Web says no one receives any rebate.

I am saddened that the Credit Card Company is not more actively trying to prevent this situation from affecting others.  However this scam has been in effect for 4 years and the Travel Center Orlando must have found a loop hole in the law to keep trading so long.

BE WARNED !

we get faxes 2 or 3 times a week, always for trips.  I have never responded to them, and was looking up the number to find out who they are, when I found this site.  It seems my suspicions are more than justified.

If calling to get taken off the fax list won't work (according to one responder above), we'll just continue to put the paper in the recycle paper tray in the photocopier.

What do you mean you had no choice to buy. What happened when you arrived in Florida? So what they are promising is not a 9 day 8 night vacation seeing as you could not get the tickets for the rest of the trip? Just wondering because I received a fax this morning and my husband was inquiring but I had a feeling that there's some sort of catch? Any more details you can give would be very helpful.

**I was referred to this number by an auto dialling machine machine that left a message on my voice mail 213-363-5183.**

I get these callers 3 times a day starting at 11 am eastern.  I've complained to the RCMP and the CRTC in Ottawa.  Nothing can stop these guys from calling.  They use different numbers each time they call.  Two weeks ago the calls were coming from area code 353, last week it was area code 208, this week it's area code 213.  These people are not legitimate.  Callers will say that they are calling about political donations, car warranties, credit consolidation, or free vacations.  Today this call is about free vacations (if you notice the earlier postings for this number they called about car warranty).  These are not real companies.  What they want is your credit card number to steal your card or to steal your identity.  DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION.  Unfortunately, these calls will not stop unless you change your phone number or the police catch up with them.  My phone company told me the police are trying to find them, as they are bothering thousands if not millions of customers around North America.

I don't answer phone calls from American area codes anymore... I let my voice mail to up the message and just delete it.  Today's message was this;

"Hi this is Gordon with the Travel Centre/Center.  You've been selected to receive 5 days and 4 nights in Orlando Florida (near Disney World), plus 3 days and 2 nights in Fort Lauderdale Florida plus an all-inclusive Bahamas Cruise with cabin, meals and entertainment for only $399.00 Canadian.  This trip has a retail value of over $2900.00.  The confirmation for your invitation is "offer ***" and you need to call the Travel Centre/Center in the next 24 hours at 1-800-832-4670.  Call as soon as possible so you can enjoy your Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Bahamas dream vacation.  Thank you."

Last week the calls were about a vacation to Cancun Mexico.  The week before they were giving consolidation loans for credit cards.  The week before that it was mortgage loans.  These crooks are very careful to target the right sort of ad for Canadian area codes (such as mine).  They never do the political donation calls to Canadians... because they know no one will respond.  However I've seen postings from others for the same number that called me, asking for political donations.  I think this company rotates the ads depending on where they are calling and who they are calling.

It's very possible these crooks are using a computer and a Skype account to do all this calling... so it hardly costs them anything.  Plus it's impossible for the police to track them down, as they change their numbers almost daily.  It possible these criminals are in another country like Nigeria, or Romania of where ever!

DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION AND NEVER RESPOND TO THEM!
