got 2 calls right after dealing with tech for half hour....red tag on door about leakage in my house?...course nobody knew anything about hung up and called back after putting me on hold for 10 minutes...wish there was some one else in my area besides Time Warner...think im going to direct tv.

It was an automated call from Timewarner Cable wanting me to take a survey regarding a service call we just had today.    I hung up.   Who has time for that????

I called TW for service Friday. Started getting these calls on Monday for 6-7 hours. Service tech just left and they have started again already but they are automatically rejected by my telemarketer block service. So, I agree with the TW satisfaction survey theory. Telemarketer block, gotta love it, best thing since duck soup ! Phone usually doesnt ring at all but with this caller it did make little chirps each call.

Got a call today from this number and all I heard was music... paid my bill online yesterday so it shouldn't be that.

It's an automated survey call.  We have gotten this call a few times before after we called either tech support or customer service.  They want to know if you are satisfied with their customer service.  It's really annoying!

Funny we called TWC about an issue and they finally sent a service guy out --he had just left --very nice guy thourgh but could not fix problem as it is a TWC issue in our area that no one is supposed to know about----and this # shows up----i have this suggestion to all these companies who want to do surveys or follow ups or what ever --do you want people to answer phone and take you seriously and think your legit and not a scammer then put your company name with the phone # so we know who you are and what you want otherwise don't waste my time!!!!

Been getting this twice a week.  Today's was actually during a TWC service call I made to re-activate my email - ironic!  The sales/survey explanation up-thread makes sense, but saving phone numbers for a prospect database smacks of phishing to me.  Should be illegal.

everytime they call me, there is silence on the other end until i say "hello?" ... then obnoxious hold music starts. and they call almost every other day.

Time Warner called me from this number moments after I had called them with a programming question. I did not answer (number was not in my address book). They left a message. Their call was for a survey about the quality of service on my call. You can't do anything today without being asked to complete a survey. Why? Simple. Surveys are a marketing device founded in basic psychology. If you take the time for a survey, your investment of time and energy makes you more kindly disposed toward the source, and more likely that you will think of that source when you need similar services. If they can induce you to say something good about them, you will then hold that opinion more strongly. In my [(very humble)] opinion, you have nothing to gain by taking part in surveys of any kind. Put the number 800-833-2253 on your nuisance-don't-answer list.

if your wondering how they got your cell number or your work numbers then here is how its being done, you must of called time warner once from one of those numbers concerning your bill at one time.  Thats how their getting your numbers that you never provided.

I have twc but they called me on my mobile number. I don't even know how they have that and my bill is current

I just got a call from this number tonight for the first time ever.  I didn't answer because I was busy working, so I just let the machine get it, but they didn't even leave a message.  If this is Timewarner, it must have been telemarketing.  We just paid our bill in full online last night, so there's no way it's about that.  Very annoying.

If it is Time Warner, I'm not sure why they're calling.  My bill is current.  In any case, they called every 8-10 minutes one night for an hour straight.  I have no voicemail on that particular line & they just let it ring about 20-30x each time they called. I refused to answer because I assumed it was a telemarketer but.... WOW.
