My husband is retired, got a phone call from warranty finance, LLC-wfc that his warranty was about to expire on his dodge truck it got him upset to know that so he took out a policy. It cost him almost 2500.00. It has been paid off for awhile and now that the truck got toalted by a tree falling on it, he called for a refund on the balance on the time left on the truck. They said fax them a paper about the warranty so he did. he called them the next day to conferm that they got it,first they said no then they told him he forget to write refund on it.So that tells me that they are total liars. After finding out about all these letters from other people that got ripped off,so did we at the tune of 2500.00 For a senior citizen this really hurts. Also we never used the warranty for anythingso I feel we got f--- with our pants on. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS ANYONE OUT THERE.

Yes, this is a scam. This is the same story as the Kolfield issue pretaining to extending your car warranty. My accounts been closed and i cant get ahold of anyone. I have a phone number for claims and customer service, and choice manufactureing, and national dealer warrantys/pr, all on one piece of paper, noteing that i will no longer recieve any additional mail unless my  payment cannot be processed. my payments were made in full, and now my account is closed. How do these scams get our information. From the dearlerships?ething needs to be done.

By the way the name of the warranty co. is Automobile Comsumer Service Center of Florida.

I had an experience with this company.  I had a water pump replaced sometime ago and they convienently paid my mechanic direct. Resently i had a window stay in the up position.  I took my 2005 Town & Country to my mechanic but could not find my warranty book. I looked in my check book to find the name of the com. that i had paid for the warranty and found Warranty Finance.  I checked the internet for a phone number and found the name had been changed to Pay Link.  I gave the number (800) 839-7940  to my mechanic.  They gave him another number to call to make a claim. He called the other number. they used the vin number to locate my account and and gave him approval to make the repairs. I have nothing but good things to say about the warranty co. I have. But remember Paylink is only the co. that finances the payments, and yet they were helpful in finding the correct co. to make the claim to.
PS:
Bill, i don't think any co. would pay for existing conditions.

Been in the telecom industry, I can tell you spoofing is illegal, you can always use other resources to follow thru. You may want to contact The US attorney general, the FCC as well as the FTC. Also if this is interstate you can actually contact the FBI.

Based on the law, they cannot contact you at your place of business. They are only legally able to contact you at your home; you can also send a stop and desist letter via certified mail.

Record their conversation, when you speak to them if you do, many of them have no clue of the law and make drastic mistake threatening people.  They can't make any statements in which they can destroy your credit, call your family, call your work and or tell everybody that you have debts and you do not pay, this is protected by the law. In this case now you have the upper hand, as now they open the door for a lawsuit, you can actually sue the person that called you as well as the company as they are liable for any statement of guaranty that they make, almost any attorney will take this type of cases on contingency. Is an infringement of your rights and punish by law. This people use scare tactics to scare people and even collect many times the same debts that have been paid previously.
The reality is nothing that they can do to you, if you do not or can't pay, they must take you to court and get a judgment against you, and then they need to be able to collect. Of course they must serve you first and have proof of such.
You want to get even, call then day in and day out, to their numbers use redial, and have anybody that you know do the same, do it day in and day out, that will shut down their PBX system, if they do it to you do it to them.
Yes annoying, but effective if hundreds of people do the same and saturate their phone lines.
Let me give you info on some of the worse in the USA.
You also can talk directly to the company that you owe money and make a settlement, in many cases for example let say you owe them 15,000.00 they will settle for much less, also make sure they do not report you to the IRS for the full amount if not you will be force to pay taxes on the portion unpaid,  Make sure they clean your credit if not is no purpose of having a settlement, make sure you get all in writing first

Call their 800 numbers is free to you but not to them.
They use many spoof numbers, as many times as well they use no caller ID on purpose but they leave you a number to call. Always keep the recording particularly if they are menacing and report does to your police local department as now you have a legal record.

One of their numbers is 1800-287-5802

Don't get mad get even.

People which do block the caller ID and or use Spoof numbers always have something to hide, that is the only reason they will use a Spoof number (Fake number / Voip Number / Or PBX number whit no actual connection only rings and then dies)

The dealership I purchased my car from said "I had to have this to purchase the car"  My credit isnt perfect but I can buy a car anywhere.  I fell for it and since I lost my job recently I was going over my bills.  They deduct $172.00 from my acct monthly for 8 months.  The form says I have to send a letter to discontinue the coverage.
The form I signed says 18 months.  Thats too much money to be scammed out of.

I have recently become involved in my elderly father's finances. (He has dementia, and is obviously vulnerable to all types of telemarkters.) I am trying to cancel many unneeded, unused services that are being automatically billed to his credit cards. This company has been billing him 88.00 a month for several years. I was finally able to find a phone number (quite a task!), the office is closed, and the phone message says they are now doing business as "Pay link direct". It also directs to a website which is nowhere to be found through google or yahoo. Apparently, this is their third reincarnation, I would guess they are trying to keep one step ahead of the law.

ok, so I admit it, I got suckered by this warranty company, and paid in full over 2k for 5 years of "complete repair" coverage. I am supposedly covered until 2011. So this week, my service engine soon light comes on, and so i go to the local repair shop. They tell me its my thermostat, and it needs to be replaced. So, i give them my awesome policy of "complete coverage", since they are $2,000 deep into my pockets. The repair station calls them to make payment arrangements, afte all, im "completely covered" right, I shouldnt have to pay. However, the service tech comes back and tells me he spoke with WARRANTY FAKE FINANCING, and they dont cover that service. Even the technician was surprised, and had to hold back his laughter at me, since he knows I was RIPPED OFF by this scam artist company. But you know, karma is a mother F'er, and sooner or later, the people behind this scam will get exactly whats coming to them.

I guess I'm luckier than some of you.  The warranty on my 2003 Chrysler expired in 2006, and I did not renew it or extend it.  In 2007 I started getting letters from Warranty Finance, LLC - WFC saying I was late in making my payments for my extended warranty.  Each letter indicated that I would get an additional 30 days to pay, but if I didn't, then I would lose my extended warranty.  After about 4 letters (3 months) the letters stopped.  In 2008 and again in 2009 the letters started up again just like before.  About the only difference is that the price drops in each letter.  The last letter received on 12 Sep 09 wanted $111.87.  Nowhere in any of the letters does it state that the payment is for one year, 6 months, or 1 month.

I believe Warranty Finance LLC somehow finds out either when you bought a car or when the factory/company warranty expires, and schedules its letters accordingly.  This is the address & phone number from the Sept 09 letter:  WARRANTY FINANCE, LLC - WFC,  P.O. Box 5989,  Carol Stream, IL  60197-5989,  (312) 261-4800.  I have not been receiving phone calls.

Well guess what! I changed my credit card number. Then I had to contact all the companies that automatically charge to my card. BUT of course the credit card company let    WARRANTY FINANCE WFC charge to my new card without my permission. How is it that can happen? I contacted the Attorney General's Office and have filled out their form. Will that help , I kind think it won't but I'm hoping.

My question is why are you reading this if you haven't been taken yourself? The guy that scammed us was NOT from a finance company he was from Service Protection Program in St. Louis, MO. and they new exactly that our warranty was up! We paid on this for our entire 18 months only to find out that they are crooks! Very nice young man SOLD US THIS WARRANTY even gave us his name and extension......Of course that doesn't exist now! EVERYONE OUT THERE LISTEN UP THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS DON'T GET SCAMMED LIKE WE DID.
