I was able to determine that this company, and those like them are getting the information from online applications that many companies are using.  Somewhere on the page is a question related to continuing education.  It is always checked to OPT-IN.  If that check box is hidden, as many of them are, you may overlook this entirely and inadvertently allow them access to your information.  Ironically, this is seen as your having given them permission to contact you.  Just tell them not to call; and go through that with every caller of this type and you should eventually stop getting calls.  If the same company keeps calling; report them to the FTC.gov and file a complaint about them as a company that won't stop calling after you've told them to stop.  This should help them put an end to this.

Im receiving phone calls from these people trying to help me with education and career opportunities and want it to stop. The individual insists that hes trying to help me out so I wont receive any more calls from them. So he wants me to agree to everything he's saying during a recording. What do I do????

i received phone calls from this number 800-849-0954.  It seemed as if I was talking to a real person.  And when I declined the education,  the caller hung up.  Is this a scam or a real staffing service?

The  guy Chris is just an AI Recording that responds to certain thing in a sentence, it's funny just ask it math questions, and sometimes it makes no sense and just says "no" and hangs up, also if you ask it if its a recording it says, do I really sound that good, it will repeat this same stuff if you cal back the number over and over again, it's funny, you can also hear somone typing in the background trying to get the recording to respond correctly, what dumbasses

I also received a call from "skyward staffing"..The number is different though...the number that called me is..1-.817-768-2571... I didn't answer, but did call back after seeing these posts.. It was hilarious to hear the woman squirm under my questions and confrontation !!  Put a grin on my face for the moment, however I'm still job hunting !! :)

yep, got the same call from skyward Staffing.  but if you call them back and press 2, they will stop callling you.  I'm on the do not call list too and somehow my cell # has gotten out there in the web or something.  just press 2 and they'll stop calling. quick complaining and just get it done.

Several calls from this number. I finally called it back. Company is Skyward Staffing and it was a recorded message about careers. I never solicited this company and I'm on the do not call list.

Recorded message from a cyber career school.

"Chris" who identified himself as being from Skyward Staffing called me three times today on my cell claiming that he got my number from a survey I filled out for a Walmart gift card indicating that I was looking for a job. I am TOTALLY DISABLED and would NEVER have indicated to anyone that I was looking for a job nor have a I filled out any survey for a Walmart gift card.

Asked each time to remove my name from the list; same voice called each time, not a recording.

FYI - File complaints against the CORRECT entity! I called Illinois based ( www.skywardemployment.com ) to complain; wrong company, it's not them.

A very helpful woman explained they've been receiving complaint calls for a week regarding this. Stated this is definitely NOT their company, they believes the scam-caller is out of Orlando FL. They have filed a local police-report and urged me to do the same. I suggested she contact the FCC. The woman was very sincere and apologetic, I fully believe her.

I missed a call from this number earlier today. No message. Then about an hour later they called again and when I answered, they hung up!! Annoying. This is a cell phone.

my friend reported a company for the very same type of thing.  guess what?  the donotcall.gov doesn't do a darn thing about it.  she was told to just delete the number or hang up! they don/t fine anybody at all for harrassing calls.  we are registered with the donotcall.gov also and receive more of these types of calls than ever before.  and, they are from all over the U.S.

No idea who this caller is or what they wanted - I did not answer my phone, and they did not leave a message & when I rang the number back to tell them to put me on the do not call list the number doesn't ring.  

This is another of many recent calls I've received - all different numbers, but harrassement calls all the same.

They called me for a career opportunity stating that I recently showed interest in getting a job. When I said I don't think I submit anything he said sorry he cannot help and hang up.

This number has called numerous times.  I have told them I have a job and he asks if anyone in my household needs a job.  When I say no, he tells me that it doesn't matter if I have a job, he wants to make a profile for me anyways.  Creepy is all I have to say. When I ask "Chris" if he is a real person, I get the answer "Yes".  When I say, that is funny, you sound like a recording, I get "Thanks, have a great day" and it hangs up.  I reported them to the www.donotcall.gov registry since I have asked them several times to not call my cell phone and I am registered on the Do Not Call List.

They called here 2 times today. I didn't answer. This is not my cell phone. It belonged to my 13 years old son.  They better be careful for calling 13 years old kids. Or I will take one moment to get angry and may report it.

Harassed me twice.  hung up when I ask for more information about company.  beware.  I question why my date of birth.

"First, are you over the age of 18." That was the first words out of the persons mouth. They claim to be from Skyward (possibly Skyline) Staffing. It is always the same guy, named Chris, that calls too saying that I filled out a survey, etc... I know that I didn't, but I am job hunting so it's possible that it was triggered by a bogus posting I applied to.

I'm on the Do Not Call List too, and I plan on reporting them.

I never filled out a survey stating I wanted to go back to school or further my education in any way.  However, this company keeps harassing me. I have received about 15 phone calls from them in less than 2 weeks.  I am about to report them to the Website www.donotcall.gov because my number is registered on that Website. Let's see how these morons like having to pay the federal government fines for violating the law.

They call me and ask me if I wanted career opportunities but after I decline there question about whether I would like to go back to school Chris suddenly ended the call after saying he was sorry he could not help you today. I'm afraid that they will use my personal information such as my address telephone number and pass it on to another company soliciting me to go back to school as well. When I ask Chris what survey I filled out directing him to my telephone number he just repeatedly send the name of his company skyward bad thing what did not indicate what website or sources gave him my phone number.
