oh man, i got the call today. 100% they are a collection agency. a very shady one, disrespectful, etc... no manners. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION. They will use this against you. They know nothing and are desperate to find out more info. DO NOT ENTERTAIN. DO THIS: when you get a call from them, say that the person they are looking for is your cousin and you are surprised that he/she has your phone number. Play dumb and say (because they will say it is very important) for them to call you back and you will do your best to get the latest contact informationm, and just give them some number... they will leave you alone after that. they left a really nice message saying they were calling from orange county, but did not identify themselves as a collection agency. I won't call back  - if they found my work number then I'm sure they have my home address so they can contact me in writing. I'll see if I can find out who they are so I can send them a letter stating not to call me at work. Hope this helps someone..

multiple times a day - I am on "do not call list". No one here by the name they are asking for, no do I owe anyone any outstandong money. They actually left a name on my answering machine. So I put that name on my phone greeting message. It totally pissed them off. The next time they called, he asked why I put his name on my answering machine, I said " Why do you keep calling when I have told you "there is NO ONE BY THAT NAME that lives here."

I still keep getting the calls.................sigh..

Ignoring your obligations only makes matters worse.

Our agency is willing to work with you in a honest and realibale fashion.

Who actually owns this company?  The person who I have dealt with was very pushy at the beginning...telling me I would lose my home and everything if I did not pay off a particular debt.  I offered to make payments, but they were too low for the person who called.  Due to medical reasons, I am behind in several areas, but will catch everything up eventually.  Last time Craig Taylor called me (and he started out being rude), it meant another trip to the emergency room because of my heart...talk about stress!  And more bills.

If our government wants to help so much, the bailout money should be given to the taxpayers so we can get out of debt and put these a******s out of business!

These people made the claim that they could seize a friends house because of his unsecured credit card debt. A complaint has been filed with the appropriate Attorney Generals office in order to curb any further illegal collection practices.

they call saying they are from orange county and from laguna hills. they leave a message with my moms name, my brother's name and my name. I never answer. and I never will. I wish there was a way to send anthrax through the phone!

Called my dad and grandfather to ask about me. saying he was helping me with a problem. was very rude to my family members. never leaves a message.his name is scott at x115.

They asked for someone who lived here and moved out 12 years ago. Left message saying reference number #93356 named Craig Taylor

Called asking for my roommate - told them she was at work and if there was a message I could take - the gal on the line, identified herself as Gloria Kipper and was looking for 2 people who said they lived at our apartment or used our address during the same time frame as we have lived here. When I said  that I was the only roommate that has ever lived  here, the gal repeated my name (although I never gave it to her) and appeared to have my information in front of her as well as my roommates.

Neither of us have ever heard of these people this person was asking about - insisted that I call back after speaking to my roommate and said that if we don't know them, they would not be calling back. Not sure what this is all about or where they got my name from (my name isn't on the lease or the phone account) or my roommates name.

They called. Aft first they were rude. Told me that they had called my mother and she said i was a POS and that I needed to take responsibility of my credit stuff. I called my MMI Counselor and she called back with me on the line. She recorded them harassing me. We called back and I asked to speak with the manager. I was transferred to an older man whom spoke to me with respect and dignity like any human deserves. Fast forward 2 1/2 years later, and I was having issues with another company picking up the difference of what I settled on, I called them- they've sent me 5 letters and are correcting my credit report.

These people are calling for an adult step-child past credit debts. A "boy" named Wayne Torrisi has identified himself as the manager and was rude and vulgar.

Just recently recieved a call from this so called company who contacted my brother in Alaska stating that I had put his information down as a contact which is false, tried getting very pushy with me asking me if I have ever been sued etc.  When I asked for validation of the company he got even more upset and rude.

This guy called my office looking for one of our employees.  Then he asked if my boss, the owner, was here and when I told him he wasn't he started accusing me of not getting the message to the specific employee he had requested.  He finally conceded to have my boss call him back.  But if this is just about collections then I'm going to start having fun with him and give him a lot of hell.

Called back and talked to Scott Davis.  Scott was very nice, until another man got on the phone, and immediately began yelling at me.  When I said that Scott and I were just talking, he yelled "Hey Scott, did this guy cuss you out?" and I heard someone in the background say "Yeah he did".  The new guy started saying I needed to give him a checking account number right now.  Repeated told me that I was stupid and I should stop talking and just give the account number.

A woman named Cynthia McKiernan at ext 108 called and was looking for my sister. She said that my sister gave my name and number as a contact if they couldnt get a hold of her. I told my sister about this and she never gave my name or number to anyone. How on earth do these people get information from?

Someone named Sam called and harrassing.

I am in the process of filing bankruptcy and my husband answered a call from this number, the caller told my husband if I did not settle this debt they would start calling my parents and siblings.  They knew my mothers maiden name, when and who my sister were married to.  This has to be illegal in some way for them to threaten me with this.  This is my personal debt and problem...any suggestions on how to handle them the next time they call?

A Mr Chisson called and left a voicemail that I should call 800-856-1174 x111 ASAP.   He correctly used my last name (which is very common).  I think they have called twice but only left one message.   I thought it was odd that there was no company name mentioned in the message, so I googled the number and got this page.

THIS COMPANY CONTINUALLY CALLS MY WORK AND THREATENS TO CALL MY DISTRICT MANAGER AND THEN MY REGIONAL MANAGER EVEN AFTER I TOLD THEM TO STOP CALLING ME AT WORK.  I THEN CALLED THEM BACK AND REQUESTED A PHYSICAL ADDRESS AND THEY SEEM TO HAVE GIVEN ME A BOGUS ONE, GO FIGURE!!!!  THIS COMPANY IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL.

Harassing calls....

some one called me asking for dorin i told them i dont know who this person was but the lady on the other end of the phone was not happy with my answer and continued to say that i was this dorin chick. she straight up called me a lier and repeatedly asked me for my info. which i would not give to her affter i hung up and this lady she continued to call over and over again atleat 5 times in a row the peopel are nuts!

Somebody named Ryan called looking for a family member who has never lived at this address, wanting a phone number for them. He knew the family members current address and place of employment. Said He couldnt tell me what kind of company it was or what they wanted. I asked if it was a collection agency and they said no. I figured if they know the current place of employment and address of the person they were looking for then there was no reason for them to be calling me.

Received a message on my answering machine today to call this number and ask for Wayne at extension 116.  When I called back ... the phone was answered "Credit and Recovery" or somthing like that ... they asked for the number in which I was calling from and I asked what it was in regards to he said that he couldn't tell me unless I gave him my phone number.  I did and he said that he couldn't bring my number up in the system ... but that it was a reference verification.  Strange ... no one told me that they were requesting anything that would need a verification!  He said that he was sure he would call me one more time ... when it was up on his screen again.

Some guy called me from this number and asked for a weird name.  When I told him that there is no such person here, he asked what number this is , address , etc

some guy named mark called, left his extension. Sure, yeah right..i'm really going to call a random 1-800 number back. In your dreams. I suspect it's a collection agency of some type.

Some guy named Stan called and left a number at my job trying to verify employment. When I returned the call. The party answered, "Credit or Recovery"
