77893 is spamming people with messages to sub a point there is a class action lawsuit that pays up to $100 per person for the harrassment they've experienced. You have to file before march 12,2012 and can do so online. Here's a link to the write up about them in pcmagazine and a link in the article to the class action suit. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2391037,00.asp

I have some information on this company.
I received the message: "Foreclosed homes from $8k-$12k your area!Gov't credits and cash avail. For free list call now."
I called the number in the text which is listed above. They refused to tell me the name of the company that was sending the texts. I was refused an opportunity to speak to any kind of supervisor and was told by the operator that that information was 'above his pay grade', but I was given another number to call (866-673-3920).
I called this number and was also denied the complete legal name of the company I was speaking with. "Foreclosure Network" is not the complete legal name of the company. My request for a postal address was once again denied. They also wrongly informed me that my cellular company had provided them with my number. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on endless hold. I called back and managed to speak to a supervisor who gave me the name "2econd meta, llc" but would not give me a postal address, direct contact number or any other info. This supervisor also confirmed that the story about my cellular company giving them my number was completely false.
I used google maps to find the contact information for 2econd meta, llc which is: 3018 N Lamar Blvd, Austin, TX - (512) 407-9433
I encourage anyone who gets this text to file a complaint with the FTC. This can be done very easily online at esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

I get txt message spam from them often. Has anyone tried replying STOP like the messages say? I would fear replying will likely result in more spam.

Foreclosure listings? Unsolicited ads via text message.
Sleuth 2010-02-24 01:08:39 Unknown
Since these are coming from an international marketing source where the laws don't apply, try asking your carrier to block international text messages. T-Mobile will do it. Just remember if you're in Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, etc. you cannot receive incoming calls.

I keep receiving text messages from ByofferSpotUSA.com and they come to my work cell phone. I have never authroized these and want them to stop as I am being charged for them.
none 2009-12-01 04:42:48 Unknown
unfortunately, the company (Second Meta) uses an overseas advertising company so there is nothing that can be done about it. The laws about text advertising don't apply and technically do not call lists are not in play because you are not being called. And jumpoffer can remove your number- for a month from the listing, then you are back on again.
Don't call the number and you won't get scammed. The lists aren't free.
Don't even call to have your number removed, they can't do it either.

This company's website (jumpoffer.com) is hosted by GoDaddy. Following is a link for their spam complaint form. I would suggest submitting a complaint here: https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/spamreport/spamreport.asp

I have received message telling me to call this number about rentals for 176.00 rent to own??? what is up with that? un-heard of in this day and time. The number originated from a 619 area code don't know where that is since I'm in south florida. Thank you for any help you can give in stopping this spam or scam.

The text message states that I could rent a home for as little as 176.00 on forclosed homes. That I could move in within a year and/or use the rent as a down payment
snake 2009-10-21 13:51:24 Unknown
$176/month on local foreclosed homes! move in 1 year or use rent as down payment & own !
Amy 2009-10-08 01:53:02 Unknown
I just called my cell phone provider about this and was told just to text them: 'STOP'. They say if you do this, by regulations they must stop. If you don't do this they [the bogus number/company] can start charging you about $9 just for receiving the calls/texts.

I have been receiving the same thing you all have. Foreclosure and car deals in my area from 77893. The text stated to call an 800 #. I talked to a rep and she stated the company name is Foreclosure Agency.
I contacted my mobile carrier and reported these SPAM messages and the carrier has stated that they have blacklisted 77893, so I SHOULD never receive text messages from them again.
Good luck.....
