I got green card with the phone number 800 859-3329 listed on it asking me to call and enter a personal ID 2200600 the card states that there is potentially unclaimed property for me. I googled the number to see what popped up and found this thread. I figured it is a scam of some sort and won't call but thought I would add this information for others. I am also going to post on the local newspaper and TV social media sites to see if others in my area received this same card.

I got a green postcard from Denver Colorado saying I have unclaimed money and to call the 800# and put the 7 digit code.  However, by strange coincidence a month prior I got a letter and form to fill out from Walmart saying I never cashed my last paycheck.  If I didnt respond by the deadline my money would be turned over nto unclaimed property for my state.  So this is probably just coincidence.  But what purpose would this have if the postcard is fake?

I've done some training at Dell in the call center.  One of the methods of confirming who a person is who they say they are is by the phone number listed with credit agencies.  After what I learned there, all I would need to scam out a bunch of computers is a name, address, and phone number.  The fact these jerks already have my name and address is bad enough, but this attempt to get my number could cause some problems for my credit if they got it.  On the plus side, my credit is so destroyed by student loans that they couldn't use anything with it.  Best defense against credit fraud is bad credit...  Suckers...

From what others have posted this sounds very much like an attempt to collect working phone numbers to sell to other scammers.  They record the number you call back on then block further attempts to call since there is no reason to answer you.  I would bet that either all the reference numbers are identical or it does not matter what number you call.  It could also be a skip tracer who has a potential address but no matching phone.  About the only way to find out who the owner of the number is would be to hire a lawyer and subpoena records from the telephone company that would identify the owner of the number you are directed to call.

I got a green postcard today with the same exact information as stated in the other post with 800-859-3329. It didn't make any sense to me because I have gotten mail at this address for many years with no issues and had also had already received all the packages I was expecting. I called the number, entered my reference number and accidently pressed "8" instead of "0" to speak to someone and it automatically disconnected the call. I tried calling right back and nothing happened, just total silence. I thought I dialed the wrong number, so I tried again and got the same results. Out of curiosity I called again about 20 minutes later, and again; total silence as if the number doesn't even exist.

This happened to me as well.

I thought it was important, fell for it, called the number, entered the code when prompted, and my call was dropped.  Called back and my call has been dropped every time.

Duh on me.

I knew better but called it anyway. Now I dread what's coming next. The postmark came from Denver, and I wish I knew if this was legal. It's illegal for debtors to call around and ask questions and discuss your debts with others but they do it anyway. What recourse to people have against slimy practices like this?

Debt Collector
I received a post card from "Delivery Services" with no return address, says they are trying to deliver a package to me and I must call this number to "schedule or advise".  There is a seven-digit code next to my name and address, and when I call the number, a recorded voice tells me to enter the seven-digit code.  I try punching 0 to talk to a person, but the recording comes back and tells me to enter the seven-digit code.  As I am dealing with collectors now, I assume this is a scam to get my phone number so they can start calling me daily.

We are trying to contact you but are unable for one of several reasons.  ......

Also in my mail box, I found a new debit card from my bank. My debit card is not due for replacement. The letter that came with the replacement said, We're replacing your debit card as a safety measure to help ensure that your account information is protected. So tomo, I'll take my new card to the bank, and make sure it's ok.

I received a Post Card in the mail requesting a call from 800-859-3329, since it was an 800, I did call, unfortunately, and a recording went on, and said, "Please put in your Key Reference#" & afterwards, said, "This matter has been resolved" thank you..than the call was disconnected.  I called back, and my call was than blocked, no answer.

I knew immediately afterwards it was  A SCAM! & I'M PISSED, ALSO MY MY CELL PROVIDER AND HAD THEM BLOCKED ETC.,   PLEASE RECORD AND HAVE THIS BLOCKED!!

Same for me (Aloha stamp and all). I got this same exact yellow post card in the mail today. I have no outstanding debts or bills and I am not expecting any packages at all as I haven't ordered anything in over 6 months. This has definitely got to be a scam. That's the only thing I can reason it as being. I haven't called them, and I am not going to because I don't want them to have my phone number. But yea, my suggestion is, don't even bother with them. My post card went straight into the recycle bin.

Son of a Bi***!  I called the number, because like some of you I've been expecting
a package.   When it said the issue had been resolved, I wondered and googled it.
DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!   Of course they're going to do this during the Christmas
season.
I'm getting a hold of not only the postmaster, but someone I know in the attorney
general's office.  This is bull.

Just received this postcard today, as many others described.  Decided after looking it up (and seeing these posts) to call from one of my Google Voice numbers (lol, gotta love throwaway numbers).

Called, and got asked for my 7 digit reference code, so I entered it, only to be told that the issue had been resolved already.  A few seconds later, I got a prompt saying to press "0" to speak with a representative, so I did so.  After spending a few minutes, a lady answers (had a really bad accent and spoke very poor English) asking me what seems to be the issue.  I explain to her that I had just gotten off work, right as my mailman delivered this (he handed me the mail personally, had the same carrier for over 10 years), and would like to schedule another delivery attempt.  She asked me for the reference number again, and then read my address back to me.  After telling her that this was the correct information, she informed me that the package shows as being delivered to my address already.  I told her that there was nothing but this card in my mailbox, no package, and that i've known my mail carrier for 10+ years, she immediatly hung up on me.

I'm going to be keeping track of my google voice number that was used, just to see what the number that calls back is.

If anyone knows the company or anything more about this, please post.

Hi

i just got the exact same postcard that Maria described. Does anyone know who this is ? Unfortunately,
I was expecting post, so called the # and never got to speak with a person. This is really worrying, as Frustrated
said, this is not a reputable company.

If anyone knows anything more please post.
