Called and stated that they had a personal reason to call protected by the Right of Privacy which required me to give them my social security number so I could identify myself. They also stated the call was being recorded for internal purposes. When I refused they wanted the last 4 digits of my SS. When I refused that asked for my address. I again refused. They then asked if I lived or ever lived at an address in Dallas TX. I said no. The caller then stated he did not believe me and hung up.

Yeah. Sure you were.

They dont pay attention to " DO NOT CALL " nor " DONT KNOW THAT PERSON and I DO NOT KNOW THAT NAME '  nor " THAT PERSON IS NOT AT THIS NUMBER ". When I Pick Up and Talk to Them, they start calling at that time EVERY DAY plus all the other times they usually call. That is why I do not answer 800 nor 866 numbers because even if they called wrong number, they just keep calling !!

They are a joke. I keep telling them that the person they are looking for is not at this number. They are rude and still call. I do not answer anymore. I tried to find help on their website cavps.com.  This is what their website says among other lies :  Our motto is "Cavalry???to the rescue" and we believe in making a difference one person at a time.   You are entitled to treatment of respect and dignity with which we have made the foundation of our collection practices.

I have gotten calls from this number before. This time, I decided to call back from a prepaid unregistered mobile phone. The phone was purchased for cash and all time cards added were paid for in cash. The first thing I got was a prerecorded message saying "thank you for calling calvary portfolio services". the message then gave the normal business hours. Among the normal business hours was an announcement that the office was closed on Sunday. The last call I received from them was on a SUNDAY. I do find this strange, don't you (getting a call from an office that is closed on Sunday)?

They called today at 6:07PM. Caller ID said 'VOICEMAIL'. It seems from other posts here that this is a collection agency. I didn't answer.

No message left and when I called back no info given.

It is almost 6 pm on Sunday evening and a lady calls and asks for me . Says she is from Calvary Alliance Services.  She spouts out five numbers and asks if those are the last five of my social security .  I tell her no.  Then she wants to know if my current address is.  and then spouts out some information.  I said" you are asking a lot of questions for someone who has not told me what they want'  She says very hatefully"mam you have a nice day " and slams down the phone

I got a call from this number, and the message on my voice mail was for a Stephanie Glover.  She may have had my number at one time,  but there is no one at my number by that name.

Got a call from 1-800-861-4996. I didn't answer but they left me the message "Elbow"???

I get calls from this number and from 888-716-0010 i found that it is the same company, or claim to be apparently.  I have had my number for two years and still get these calls for a jenny windsor.  i have answered and said i dont know a jenny yet they still call me 2-3 time dailly.  the 888 called me twice yesterday at 1:26pm and 6:37pm and this one called me 6:37pm and 8:34pm.  Its ridiculus.

those numbers are both from Cavalry (or Calvary) Debt Collectors aka Cavalry (Calvary) Portfolio Services. not legitimate collectors. scam artists.

I got a call from that number and a woman left a message, she was gasping for air saying respiratory infection...........LOL
I had other calls earlier in the day from other numbers and figure it is the same jerks so don't answer. Sometimes I just turn off my phone.
I am disabled and homestead my property in florida, and there ain't nothing anyone can do to me because they can't touch my prperty and I don't have anything else.
My bankruptsy lawyer says these people are bottom feeders that buy up debt at pennies on the dollar. He said don't answer and don't respond in any way.

I got a call from number 18008614996 and the caller id says voicemail which is unusual for a caller id. I answered the phone and a man was looking for my husband and I asked who's calling and he asked if I am him, my husband and I said no and he said "Then why will I tell you who I am" I answered becaus eI live here too. And he asked me again if he can talk to my husband and I told him he has to tell me who he is. He hanged up after we yelled at each other.

This company called me, looking for a person I do not know and will not tell me who they are or identify the company they represent. I do not know the person they are looking for and tells me they will call daily. Is this not a form of harassment? Plus call at the dinner hour....

These folks just called . . . again.  When the answering machine picked up, the person just said, "hello?  hello?" and hung up after a few more moments.

They never identify themselves.  Caller ID says "Toll Free Call."

I had no idea why this number is calling me, and it's making me upset.  What's up with these calls and why in the world are they calling random people !? I haven't picked up my phone to see who they are asking for, but jeez, what gives them every right to call my number every other day!?

A few days ago I got a call from another number of Calvary's and told them it was the wrong number. They've called a handful of times (not too often) in the past looking for a Mike Johnson, who hasn't had this number for at least six years now. Filed a report with the FCC over it this time.

Just now got a call from this 800 number from a polite woman who again asked for Mike, but when I told her again that there was nobody at this line she agreed to remove the number. We'll see if it works, but hey, reason for hope.

We just got a call from 1-800-861-4996 at 7pm on Sunday evening - I will report them to FCC - we do not owe any money at all to noone and these people keep bothering and when asked to stop they won't do it - they ask for a person we do not know and they get very insulting - I will never answer this number again. There really should be a high fine for these collection agencies that bother people on a Sunday and do not stop when they are told that they have the wrong number. The  ID on the phone call was "Voicemail", but it was these Calvary people - they even change there Caller ID to harrass honest people.

DO WHAT I DID. SAVE IT TO YOUR CELL AS 'FCC'. WHEN THEY CALL BACK AND U SEE FCC, IT WILL REMIND U TO ANSWER IT 'FEDERAL COMMUNINCATIONS COMMISSION'. ....O THEY STOP!
