I receive calls from this number twice daily on my cell phone.  They leave a recorded message to call them back but won't say what it is in regards to.

They called my work phone (which I don't give out) and it is a place called OSI Recovery Solutions. I called it back to see what they wanted, I was put into a queue and then the call dropped. Must not be that important.

We receive calls three to four times everyday. These calls aren't for us  - its for Mary Ann Heinzlierger who doesn"t reside here and the caller doesn't accept that communication. Its a pain because they call early in the morning, lunch and dinner time. We're on the Do Not Call List and I wish there was a way to block the incoming calls.

Where are these people?  India?  I received a message on my cell phone to call this number about collecting a debt - wrong person listed - very unfriendly!  Do not like getting calls that uses air time I have to pay for!

Go to FCC.gov and file a complaint. I did. Same reason. Trying to collect a debt that someone else owes. Must have my number before I did. Anyway. They can't keep calling. If enough of us complain. They'll stop.

OSI calls with different numbers.  I receive a call from daily and I don't owe them anything.  (My phone number is new).  I get a recorded message from them but they leave different numbers to call back on.  But it's all from OSI.

This is the sorriest operation I've ever seen.  When I try to call them back, I get left on hold so, long I hang up.  And then they keep calling me, leaving a recorded message.

These people are nuts.  There must be some place to stop these sorry people.

I've been getting calls for months. Finally, called back. They were looking for someone else. Told them not to call anymore. Less than a week later, they called back. Went through same routine, but at a much higher volume. stay tuned.

Debt Collector
Alfredo Gonzalez - fake name - left a recorded message.  But, OSI broke the law upon my return call by ) not identifying the alleged creditor and 2) not takuing my number off their database.
MY SOLUTION: File complaints online with ftc.gove and fcc.gov and my state attorney general (state.gov/attorney general) and the Better Business Bureau (bbb.com).  I assure you that their calls will stop.
Also, the parent company has been caught bribing NJ government employees, paid a fine, etc.  This is a crooked company.  Hit Back!

I answered the call, and the recording immediately came on with " sorry we did not reach you, this is an important call please call back" and at this time, I hung up. I just got a different cell phone number and it was suppose to be new or unused in a long time. I googled the number and found this site

I have been receiving these calls for a while at my office... every now and then they leave pre-recorded  voice mails for a person who does not work here, never has.  I finally got sick of it because our phone system redirects back and forth to  voice mailboxes in the office if not properly disconnected, so this morning I had 102 voicemails - ALL FROM THEM! It's partially the fault of our phone system, but you can imagine how annoying it is to delete 102 messages at 9:00am.

HOWEVER - I called and listed the phone numbers we have hooked up here at the office and the gentleman on the phone searched for each one for me and supposedly deleted the incorrect number from the system.  He was very nice  and polite, and hopefully the calls stop!
I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU ALL CALL! If it helps my call was made at 9:30EST and they were open!

They are a collection agency, but they are a collection for Mags, subscriptions, things like that. Someone ordered Scrapbook stuff in my husbands name and we are getting the calls. So although they are a collection agency, they are collecting for things that are small.

They did not leave me a message. There is a registered collection agency by that name in my state.  This can be looked up on the internet if you google OSI Recovery and the name of your state.  It should show up in a list of agencies licensed in your state.

Somebody mentioned AOL, and there's a good chance that my call pertained to AOL as well.  I had an account with them that I had repeatedly attempted to terminate but was ignored.  The only way I could get rid of AOL was by allowing my card on file to expire.  They are claiming that I owe them for services from that time.  In fact, I was not using their service since we had switched to DSL several months earlier.

If you answer their call, they are REQUIRED by federal law to identify themselves.  That means full name and title of the caller and the full name of the company they represent.  DO NOT give them any information about yourself.  They will use it against you.

Cell phone users:  If they are repeatedly calling your cell phone, here is a web site that tells you what to do.

http://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs2a-cellcalls.htm

Below is a link to a site that tells us step by step what is required of them and what to do about it.  Your rights and obligations are clearly spelled out.  Please read this if you are being harassed by these guys.  There are 3 agencies to which we can report this kind of thing.  Very, very helpful.

Evidently , this phone number pops up with a second message from Public School 29 , indicating that some kids are absent from the school. Its an everyday recoding, in which the school does not even check up on the absent kids with their parents. The kids in P.S. 29 are giving this phone number out as their primary contact. After investigating, the school still does not respond to this complaint. So everyone should call the BBB to shut this down. (Better Business Bureau).

I received a "missed call" notation on my cell phone from this number at 8:57 last night. When I attempted to return the call this morning, there was a recorded message stating, "Thank you for calling OSI Recovery Solutions.  Your call is very important to us. Please remain on the line and someone will be right with you."  Apparently this is some sort of collection agency and I am current on all of my payments.  Because I thought it was probably a bogus call trying to get information from me, I hung up before anyone could come on the line.

Ok.
I got the call again today, after receiving it twice yesterday, and I finally called the number back.
Dave was correct, and it IS a collection agency looking for someone else with my phone number.
I told them they had the wrong number, and they removed me from the calling list.
