Called me, the person asked repeatedly (3x at least) if it was me, confirming with my birth date, then hung up.  I thought it might be a collection agency, but that seems like an odd tactic.  Hanging up without even discussing the debt is no way to collect money.

Nelson White & Associates.  Looks like this company does blind calling.  They will call anyone with the same last name of the person they are looking for.  Doesn't matter if the first name isn;t even close.  AKA phone number 800-868-6417

Have received repeated calls and messages on my answering machine for another person, name not even close.  Messages state "urgent" to return calls.  Also receiving multiple calls from other "scammers" from other numbers.  Must be the season for it?  Getting very tired of it.

2nd time they have called Nelson Watson & Associates- I called them before, told them no such person at the number. I called Atty General today & was told they are getting a lot of complaints about this company- Company does cold calling.  Was told by Atty General office not to answer phone when they call and do not give out ANY information.  Atty General office will be contacting them regarding harassment against citizens.

I have received this call atleast 3 times a day and it is always the same person every time. She is asking for the wrong names and keep asking the business name. They are very rude and can't seem to understand they have the wrong number. I BELIEVE THIS NUMBER IS A HOAX AND WOULD NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION....THIS MUST BE A SCAM!!!

I tried the website listed about and my company filter blocked it as a problem website. No idea why they're calling my work number.

They called a second time this morning and woke me up; hung up without leaving a message. I called back to complain and an incredibly obnoxious man talked over me insisting that had had evidence they'd never called before and "lots of people are looking for this guy" (someone other than me) before saying I was off their list and then hanging up on me mid-sentence!

Called me at lunch regarding previous debt. Told to send me information in mail due to lack of evidence regarding conversations on voice. "We arent going to mail you anything or do carrier pigieons or anything like that"
Very rude. And if they dont own the debt I will be happy to sue if they cb.

Calls constantly. Only 1 very rude message so far. All hours and all days. Very annoying and they call my cell phone.

I urge everyone who is receiving calls from this number to call or write your state attorney general. As most of you have said, the number belongs to Nelson, Watson & Associates, a collections agency out of Haverhill, MA. They have just recently started harrasing me also for a credit card debt that was paid off some time ago. I am contacting the Wisconsin Attorney General this week to file my complaint, and again, I urge everyone else to do so. I understand the concept of debt collections, but to harrass as many as they do who don't even owe money or aren't even the right people is just wrong.

These people have been calling my home phone for a year and a half. Ever since I got this phone number. I have talked to them on more than 5 occasions telling them whoever they are looking for ( a Francine Chischilly) does not live there, nor do I know them. They say they will remove my number from their list, and then a week or tweo later they start calling again. Ever since I got this phone number.

called today and left a message on my cell, most of it a machine voice. Looked up the number, and it's tied to Arrow Financial, which is owned by Sallie Mae...but also came up under NCO financial. No idea why they are calling...

calls early in the morning and says NOTHING

I just got a message from them today -- asking that I call about an urgent "legal matter" -- pretty threatening e-mail. I called back and they wanted someone with same first name as me (ANN -- how unusual is that?) They insisted I had her name on my voice mail (NO, I DON'T!) and kept asking how long I had lived at my address and had my phone # (20 YEARS!!) Then they said I must have been known as her in past!! (NO!)

I finally threatened attorney general and they changed their tone and said they would take my tel # off their list.

Obnoxious, unprofessional people -- and no idea how they got my number.

I keep getting calls from this number 1-800-842-1795 on both my home phone and my cell phone. They sometimes wont say anything when I answer and other times they tell me they need to discuss personal matters. I wont give them any information and I told them to stop calling this number or I will have them arrested. This is getting really annoying and I am getting mad they need to stop this crap already enough is enough.

I have gotten the call on my cell phone twice today.  Annoying!  I don't have any unpaid bills so they better not imply it... If anyone would speak

they have all kinds of ways to find you. They send you a job offer if you are on monster... then when you send your resume with your phone and address, they start the calls and certified mail. That's how the bastardds got me... so now I have to put up with the calls. I'm going to change my number soon. And, don't accept any certified mail if you know you have a debt collector after you. They have to prove you know about the debt.

Cller Id states tollfree number from 1-800-864-8154  and if you answer or let it go to the answering machine it gives a recorded message for a name who's first name is slurded and Mc Grall, last name as best as I can tell, that states that they must return the call as soon as they can to a different phone # 1-800-836-1939 I get these every day and sometimes more.

I've called my phone Co. and reported them and was told not to return the call.

yes, this number is for NELSON WATKINS and ASSSociates...a credit collection agency. they will call and leave a message for a non-existant person trying to get you to call them back. don't do it. READ THE KEITH TRUDEAU book on DEBT CURES. DON"T CALL THEM BACK and DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFO if you answer their calls. HANG up on them. Local attornies call them BOTTOM FEEDERS!

Have been getting calls from this #, which I see on my caller ID. No messages-just too many calls...

5/29/08...They ask to speak to ******. I informed them that there was no one here by that name nor has there ever been anyone by that name. The call came in at 8:23 AM my time. I have been calles many times per day at times.

Now you need to know this: If you have a debt that has not been paid AND they have written it off through their insurnace at the original owner, then any attempt to collect will constitute FRAUD. If they do not have the ORIGINAL documents you signed, not a copy, it could be considered RICO under Federal Law. Well why don't the FED do something about it? I'll let you figure that one out, but it constitutes FRAUD and tell them that.
Finally, I checked with the Texas Atty. Gen. Office two weeks ago when I got a call and advised them of the above. They informed me they have 79 charges against them in MA as of two weeks ago. YOU need to do the following:
1. Call you atty gen for your state and report and file a complaint.
2. Call the BBB and report them and file a complaint.
3. Call the atty gen for MA and report them and file a complaint.
4. Call the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint against them.
It's time we start fighting back--kick their butt long and hard.

Yes i did receive a call from them and they keep on calling and hanging up, i called them today and they were asking for someone who said lived at my house and i told them he doesn't, and then asked them to remove my number please, and they said they would. It is Nelson and Watson Associates.

Well they called me 4 times today and it's only 9:30 in the morning. They ask for a person who doesn't live here and a person I do not know. They insist I know this person and got very angry and rude when I told them I didn't know this person. I told them to get rid of my number and she said she wanted my name and SSN before they would get rid of my number. I told her that I do not give out my name or SSN to any one on the phone and I hung up. I spoke to my lawyer and gave him the number and he said he would take care of it and the calls will STOP! It's harassment now they called 3 times yesterday and now 4 times today. They have to be stopped. If I was the one that owed on a bill then I would deal with it but I'm not even the person thier asking for.

they called me also and asked for my name and I refused to give it to them till they told me who they were and what they wanted. She said that she couldn't do that till she got all my imformation. I told her NO WAY! I do not give out my imformation on the phone till I know who I'm speaking to. She also wanted my SSN WRONG I didn't and will not give that info out. They need to be stop!

They just called me and hung up on me and did not leave a message.  I have no idea what they wwant and I am not calling them back because I was talking to them and they kept asking me questions like they did not not who I was when they called me.  I do not give out information to people.

My aunt just got a call from 800-864-8154. They asked her about my name--which is also my dead grandfather's name. I'm not sure who they are targeting, or if it is purely coincidence that they referenced a name she would know (my name is very common). Good thing she was careful and did NOT give them any way of contacting me. They made it sound like they were a legal firm. I hope she doesn't become a repeat victim of their harrassment.

What they are doing is illegal.  Report them to the FCC.
