I got a call from this number.  Like other post, they are a collection agency, but they do not only do traffic fines.  Mine was for an unpaid utility bill after I moved.  I haven't spoken with them, but I did speak with my former city utilities and conformed this.  THey do not leave messages when they call and they typically call while I am at work.

          I've been harrassed by this company for four years now...always asking for some Taco named Rivera and found out the address they were looking for was in Taco town.  The bjtch at the other end seemed to delight that they were waking you up, taking your time, and no apologies for all the calls. The FBI should shut them down based on Rico criteria, since they seem to meet that criteria. I'll applaud the day these jockwipes get herded into court.....maybe by me if I get even one more call.

They are looking for someone else and are hoping you will give them enough information to find that person.

That would explain why they would send mail to your apartment.  But why would they call a phone number that was never associated with their debtor?

You can report to the Atty Gen office but all they do is shake their finger at the company harrassing you and tell them to stop. Then that company sells the fake debt to another collection agency. Then that agency harrasses you about the same debt the Atty Gen has on file.

Why go to all that trouble. If you owe anything it will be on your free credit report.
But you can't pay them, you can't pay the guy on the phone either!

We can't block this number.  They have been calling for the 2 years since I got my number.  A year ago they started giving a name of a woman who supposedly furnished my number. They leave a callback number but say that if you call you are agreeing to help them collect a debt.   I spoke to a live person there today who agreed to take my number temporarily off his list.  As to permanent removal?  "That's not possible."
Yesterday I got a call from someone trying to sell health insurance giving the same name.  "not our fault, it just comes up on our screen"  Why to people try to sell to a debt collection list?

I see people complaining about getting these calls on their landlines. I just got one on my cell phone. This is the fifth or sixth time I've gotten called. I don't answer robocalls. It's just annoying.

Document when they call the first time and request they never call again. if they do document it and hire a lawyer that sues collection laws violators. several advertise here online. Never allowed to calla gain after you request they do NOT. Federal law and you can collect $1000 from them.

Document if they call the first time, then request they remove your number. if they call again document it and find an attorney that sues these jerks. There are several that advertise here on line and they will and can sue them if they call even once after you request your number removed. They are a collection agency that collects already forgiven and written off debts and pockets the money. Crooks!!! Don't pay them a dime even if you owe it, it will not go to who you owe...

Started receiving calls this week on average 2-3 times a day and yes they call in the morning and after work hours.  Each time is a recorded message with a different name and tells you to call to remove this number if you are not the person they are looking for.  I have ignored them so far and not called them back.  I do have camera ticket from a few years ago that was never paid but they should be able to find me and send something in the mail if legit company was calling.

Got a call from "Municipal Services Bureau" saying that I had a delinquent payment standing.  I called back to inquire and was told that they had been hired by CPS energy over a "delinquent payment" for an address I lived at 6 months prior.  I called CPS energy and they verified that there had been some issue with the check I had sent in- that because my account with CPS was closed it couldn't be processed or something.  I asked why they (CPS) didn't attempt to contact me and the woman just said "sorry, sometimes things just get overlooked."  CPS verified that this agency had been hired by them and that I would have to pay through them.

Have received several calls from this number for someone named Brittany.....it is always a recording so no opportunity to tell them there is no Brittany here.

I have repeated calls from this Municipal Service Bureau each and every day. According to my friend who I used to live with....and no longer do. I have called them and told them that I do not have the money to pay, and they have threatened to have me arrested, and not to mention really are a bunch of incompetant fools, who have no idea how the collection laws work in Texas. I believe they need better training, and a nice visit from the Consumer Credit Commission. They need to be audited and also have their supervisors evaluated the method in which they collect.

Company is Municipal Services Bureau, Government Services, 6505 Airport Blvd, Suite 100, Austin TX.  They apparently specialize in collecting traffic ticket fines.  Many people complain of rude treatment and false charges.   I haven't received a traffic ticket since 1982, so what they want with me is anyone's guess.  Typical sleazy collection tactics.

i've received a voicemail from this number twice in the past month.  It's the same English accented dude that reads part of the name of my company (an S Corp).  
This tells me that they likely got my information from an list.

The source calling me will leave a message after the tone with a cockney dialect asking for a person bearing my last name, but following it up with an incorrect first name.

The point is, this has NOTHING whatever to do with debt collecting -- it's DELIBERATE HARRASSMENT OF LAND LINE PHONE USERS. It can't be anything else when it's more than obvious the creeps behind these automated calls know they're operating on unconfirmed information, and yet continue to place them.

Keep in mind that the source has to be PAYING for these calls, and that's how you can be sure that the phone company is directly involved (if not the actual perpetrator). All I can suggest is that you allow your answering machine to intercept ALL calls before you pick up the receiver. That's what I do.

On my phone I put the number under "Zcollectors" since the Z will put it at the bottom of my phone book and I never see it unless they call then the Z tells me not to answer. I do this with people too.
I get these calls all the time, usually for small amounts in regards to services I actually used, but when I call the original company that the bill collectors claim to have gotten the debt from, they have no indication of me owing or being turned over to collections. My guess is they have a membership with one of those cheap public record websites and they pick people out and find out as much as they can and use it to corner you until you get fed up enough to pay them off just to get them off your back.
