This number keeps calling and not leaving a message, they are very annoying and consistantly calling and I don't know who they are...does anyone?

MY CELL PHONE IS NOT IN MY NAME AND IS REGISTERED ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST.  I'M WNDERING HOW THEY GOT MY CELL # INSTEAD OF MY HOME PHONE AND WHO THEY ARE.  THEY CALL TWICE A DAY AND I DO NOT KNW WHY.  I WILL NOT WASTE MY MINUTES ON THEM.

Got a call from that number and also from 800-798-3701.  It says "it this," and then it goes to an automatic voice recorder... I hang up.  I'm not liking the fact that they are using my minutes for nothing...  I've put them in my phonebook at DO NOT RESPOND!!!

The same number keeps calling me (1-800-868-6401), but it is an automated voice. It says that it's imperative that I return their call. When I call the number back, I hear a whole bunch of people talking in the background. How do these weirdos get our numbers???

They called twice in one day left me one message thankfully I slept through both, the message said something along the lines of Wes Winchester, his company as Nelson Watson Associates it's very imperative that I call them back and give me another number.  My phone is also not in my name and I very rarely put it on any forms, I'm starting to wonder where was the last place I used my acctual phone number to fill out a form,  and you know what the last place I can think of was, it was my god damn taxes.  I'm not saying the government is giving out my phone number to people to then scam me, I'm saying the government wants all mine and your information and then just happens to be really bad at keeping it secret, as indicated by how many thefts of information there are.

I have only a tracfone and have only had it since the 3rd of March. By the 5th I was getting calls from this number and refuse to answer them because I can not afford to answer calls I do not know.

I received a call on my cell phone from this # (800)868-6401 - the caller asked for "Victor" - I told him he had the wrong # and he just hung up ...

We should conduct a search for the board members home phone numbers, post the numbers on the internet. If the owner of the company gets calls at home, I am sure things will change. We do not have to angry on the phone. Just call often. The company is in Ma. they must live somewhere near by. They also just bought some type of ranch. We could call the ranch asking for George Nelson III. Leave him alot of messages. I read the company bios.

I got a call showing caller id # 1800-868-6401 I p/u and after i say hello for about 30-45 seconds a recorded message cmes on saying to call 1800-840-4786. I called and got a hold of ken lopian who said he was representing nelson watson and associate, When I told him he is looking for my sister not me, he told me to check out there website @ WWW.NELSONWATSON.COM and to have my sister call 1-800-764-2214. Then he asked me if she still resides at and quoted an address, I advised him as a collector for the last 7 years I know that is proprietary information and that according to FDCPA he can not release that information, he said "listen here don't get smart with me and think you know what the hell you are talking about this so before you start trying to quote FDCPA, go to some training." When I informed him I have been in collections for 7 years and have taking the training at least 5 times over that span he told me I don't know what I am talking about. I told him I will not be spoken down to and told him that point I told him I will not be talked down and he can stop calling my # or I will report him. he said go ahead and he will not remove my # again AGAINST FDCPA. Why Would They have at least 3 #'s ( one from caller I.D. 1800-868-6401, The # they said to call back 1 800-840-4786, and the # ken gave to have my sister call him back 1-800-764-2214) and in the background it sounds like a bar not a call center.

I believe that they are calling on behalf of Bank of America.

4 calls in three days, message left by a woman speaking an Asian language. I think from a collection agency, for a relative who moved out 5 years ago.

Do I have some news for all of you.  Afer my last post yesterday, I sent the following email to Nelson, Watson, etc.  I made sure to copy the State of MA Consumer Affairs Division.  Following are both my email and the response.

This is indeed for Nelson, Watson & Associates... I've had a problem where they call me with a recorded message - I call back and can't get anyone.  So far I have found that they are a licensed collector in the state of Connecticut.  The phone number on their website only dumps you out to their main call-in # which is the same as dialing 800-868-6401.  Below is the official information from the Department of Banking for the State of Connecticut:

This company has a group of smooth operators,  I can tell you.     I started receiving calls to my cell phone,  earlier this month, stating that I owe money to Verizon Wireless.   With a review of my report,  I have never held any cell phone service with Verizon Wireless.  Only Alltel, AT & T, Cingular, and then Sprint.    I finally answered the phone and informed them of this.   I finally had it and by the middle of the month,  I had a whistle in hand and when I saw this number call,  I blew it as loud as I could.  The person on the other end was cursing and I promptly hung up the phone.   You think that part is funny,  then the caller started call my husband and he naturally blew a head gasket when he thought we owed something.   The first couple years of our relationship have been rocky on finances and we have been clear for over 5 years.   I explained to him to simply not answer the phone.  Then there is the 3rd phone in my name and they started calling this.   This is my sister's phone and she just laughs at them and tells them off.    These people are real nasty and have not gotten the hint yet.  I live in the state of Florida and this state has strict rules against this level of harassment.   Calling at 7:00 in the morning and as late as 11:00 at night, keeps insisting I owe something that I know I do not, and then harassing my partner and my sister with this mess.   Do I care about my cell minutes?  Not really,  but seeking legal action will be the only way for them to remove my name from their list,  permanantly

I got a call from this number today and they wouldn't tell me who they were with they asked for my husband unknownly i gave them his number and he spoke to them and said that they are collecting a debt from Verizon and they are with Nelson Watson and associates.  They were making a payment plan and wanted his checking account number he asked if he can send a check and they said no that they dont accept checks (RED FLAG).  I called Verizon they have never heard of them and they searched back and said that my husband doesnt owe anything to them.  I called and spoke with a csr and she said that they bought the debt and Verizon doesnt know about them they bought it from another agency. I spoke with her supervisor and he said they bought the debt from Verizon two different stories.  But still no soulution it is a Scam and my husband made a police report and he is calling credit agencies and putting an alert on his account. Please be aware and dont pay them anything.

Normal long delay before they pick up the line.  Then the person had to get arrogant and demand to speak to ______.   Definitely not worth the time to even figure out who they are.  

The latest scam with these places is to make a person think they owe money on debts that have already been discharged.  Ask them to send documented proof of a debt owed, they can't produce it, as the original paper has long since disappeared, or worse never existed in the first place.  

What ever you do never confirm any information about yourself to people that have called you, nor call them back.  If it is truly a debt owed you would have seen some papers on it already.  

Lots of luck with the legal system, these places just change their name and move on to another place to continue their scams.

They are calling me looking for someone else and won't stop calling.

Being a collection agency, they are exempt from "Do Not Call" laws.

This company had the nerve to call at 8:30 this evening. Person they are looking for does not live here. They have been calling here twice a day for almost a month now. Claimed that person they wanted to talk to had given our phone number to them.

I have att call vantage and have decided to give them another 1.99 for call filtering. I plugged in this 800 number and also the one above thanks for putting it on the site. Lets see how they like getting the message

hahahah jerks. True slime of the slime. I wonder what they bought the debts for, 10 cents on the dollar maybe? I would rather slit my wrists then give them a dime.

I have been getting calls from them for the past couple of months saying the same stuff. That I need to call them immediately and things like that. Same thing as everybody here. It sucks to go through this crap.
