I actually work for a travel agency company and had a customer call me regarding this phone number, thinking it was us; Cruise Lines do not have collections departments for bookings. If you book a room and pay your deposit, the worst that happens is that you don't pay your final balance and they take your deposit as a penalty. Your deposit is refundable (unless you book a nonrefundable rate) until your final payment date.

If anyone calls you saying that you 'owe' them for a cruise, and they're going to send you to 'collections', especially one you don't recall booking, they're full of crap.

This is totally a SCAM, none of the phone numbers matched on the website that the sales guy gave me. He told me to look at www.portofpalmbeach.com, i did a reverse lookup on the promotions department phone number that he gave me and that is how I found all of these negative reviews. I told him that I needed to speak to my husband first and that I would call back and then he told me that the promotion would be expiring really soon and that I needed to make a decision.  Glad i followed my first ind to check this out. Also they are not listed with the BBB. Please dont allow them to take your hard earned money. They are really convincing.

Hi, the same thing happen to me today.  They told me I had a made a deposit of $698 for a 9 day vacation which included, Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and a cruise to the bahamas.  They said that I would need to pay that by the end of the call or my information would be turned in to a collecting agency.  Just like you, I asked to be  mailed or scanned a document that would provide proof of such deposit.  Being so long ago I didn't remember if it was true.  Needless to say, I didn't pay and now I'm afraid it will hurt my credit.

This same thing is happening to me.  I paid between 100 and 200 6 years ago for a cruise that I never ended up taking.  I understand that I lose out on that 100 to 200 since I never went on the cruise.  They have been calling from a number for years and I we finally answered.  They are threatening that I did not uphold to the bargain by taking the cruise before it expired so now I owe 977.  I could not get a word in edgewise to be able to speak, explain, or ask questions and was told I was speaking to the manager of Legal.  I think these are major con artists and do not know how they can still operate.  I am calling back on Monday to try talking to someone else as they have no valid ground to stand on to submit anything to collections - no signed contract or anything.  Many people have reported them to the Florida Attorney General and I think that might be the best thing.  Did you ever see anything on your credit for a Collection from them?

Received a call from someone by the name of Careem Watson saying congratulations I have won a special promotion for a 2 day 2 night cruise and everything is included except I need to pay port fees of $59 a night.  Not sure if this is real or not.  The cruise line is Bahama Celebration and leaves from florida.  Kids are an additional $100.  Website they gave is www.portofpalmbeach.com.  I was asked to give my credit card to pay the port fees, and thats when I said I need to think about it and do research to make sure its not a scam....

This guy just called me from this phone number, saying I won a trip to the Bahamas.  He claimed he was from Caribean Cruises.  I asked him his phone# and when I googled it I hit this website!  Thanks for the heads up everybody.  I told him it looks like he was pulling a scam and he just hung up on me.

So I received a phone call from someone who didn't state his name  and just gave me the company's name (Caribbean cruise line). He stated that I had purchase a package with that company a year ago and it had expired. In reality, I bought a package 3 years ago from them for $190, the lady who talked to me was very pushy and said that if I hanged up I would not be able to take on the offer. Back then I was young and I agreed to pay those $190. Now, 3 years later the guy who called me about my package expiring was asking for $977 for me to cancel the package. Thing that I absolutely found absurd. This guy so named "Jonathan" said if I wanted to upgrade my expired package I would have to pay $977 which included 5 different destinations for 4 people. At first, I was very concerned because If I were to cancel the package I would lose $977 or if I were to buy the upgraded package I would still pay $977. I even said to them that I had changed my credit card number from the one before and they said that they had ways to find my credit card information and will charge me $977. This so called "Jonathan" was a very rude guy, very uneducated and unethical. He was turning the conversation into saying that I was the one with the problem how I kept asking millions of question that he had already answered (which he didn't) and tried to persuade me to pay. We spoke for over one hour on the phone, he was getting very frustrated because he wasn't going anywhere. I kept asking to speak with the manager and he told me that he was the manager and no one would be able to get me out of this. I constantly asked for costumer service number and he wouldn't give it to me. So after a while, He told me that I had to set up a payment plan for them no to charge me with cancellation fee of $977. He kept saying to me that I couldn't call him back because they don't take call backs. When I asked for his name he said Jonathan and when I asked for his last name he said, "what do you want me to do, to give you my social security number too?" just one of the rude approaches he took. So I hanged up and checked online and found this web site and now I'm posting a comment. I also called my state attorney and I will be filing a complaint for fraud and also called the FTC Federal trading company and filed a  Fraud report. Here is their number 18773824357. Please be advised to not give your information to this low life people who are just willing to steal money.
Oh, Later I called my bank and they said that no one has access to my account since its a different one and that I'm protected that way. Good thing to know :)

Political Call
Just got a phone call from a 307-274-4209 number; asked a few political questions then was transferred to Caribbean Cruise lines. Spoke with Allyson at x 2511. She was very helpful and offered 3 day 2 night vacation to Grand Bahamas Island for two, but I have to pay $118. I gave her a zero balance card, she advised it declined, but I can pay the $118 port fees in 60 days.

Were very rude and pushy.Said no they would not call me back when I asked then yelled to someone in the same room to charge me when I got firm with them. Refused to spell their m name the first 3 times I asked and got smart when I asked for customer#. Then I asked for a supervisor and I swear it was the same person. I hung up on them and tried the number back and they answered "hello Julie" very disturbing!! Bad people!

Same thing just happened to me.
Got a call from 954-233-2183 and they said I had to pay the balance on a trip I left a deposit on in 2008.  Gave me the number 800-869-2387.  This was a "final courtesy call" to let me know the balance was due and if I was to not pay the balance, not only will I forfeit the trip and the deposit but they would claim me as a "breach of contract" and I will be left liable for the balance.  He gave three different Visa cards that they say I used for installments on the deposit, none of which I have ever had to my name.
They are very specific and very convincing so be careful as they are unable to prove that any transaction or "audio contract" ever occurred.

I received a call just today from Jonathan Kushim for a cruise to the Grand Bahama Islands from telephone #1-800-869-2387. I don't know why these type of people can't just go and get a legitimate job like we have. We work hard for what we have, so we don't need anybody trying to scam us out of what we have earned.

Hello! Received a call from 800.441.6306, from Caribbean Cruise Line. Passing on the information about the new number they are  using.

Note: Informed that I had won a free cruise for 4 people. I would receive a voucher in the mail for $1300.00, but needed to send an additional $800.00.  Mailed $100.00 to reserve it. Did some research and found out that the cruise line is not legit. Will cancel. Thought I would pass on the information so that others would not fall prey.

I wouldn't renew as everytime I call I get different information.  My first vacation I purchased in Dec,2008 with Imperial Cruise Lines.  It cost $700.00 and I was told that the vacation was 74% paid for.  I had until Dec. 2010 to take the trip.  In July of 2010 I received a call from Alan @ 1-800-869-2387, saying that the trip was about to expire and I needed to pay another $898.00 I was assured that the trip was now paid in full for 2 people and I had until Dec. 2012 to take the trip.  They never sent out any information but gave me the address of a website.  Checking the website it states that I still owe another $198.00.  After spending over an hour on the phone with several people including the Alan I talked with in July, it appears that my trip is due to expire at the end of this year.  I asked if they didn't have the phone conversation on record when I spoke with Alan and they said they did not.  The manager Maureen hung up on me when I insisted that I be told why I was called 6 months before my trip was due to expire and why I had to pay the $898. and now they want another $198.??  I was told that the $898. is because of all the upgrades and that the Imperial Majesty is now out of business.  I did manage to get the expiry date changed to what I was orginally promised but not with the manager.
It was with the customer service person that first answered my call.  It bothers me that they will not send anything to me by mail to confirm the vacation.  I am to access the website only.
I believe that the 1700. I have paid to them will not result in any vacation.  I believe this is a complete scam.

I got a call from a Cruise line.  They said they were from "expired accts department carribean crusise line".  they said I am beyond the 3 years of a cruise I authorized.  they said I signed up, and I did through a telemarketing group while on vacation in Mrytle Beach.  They clainmed I still owe for a second companion ticket.

They knew a lot of the details but would not give me details on my confirmation number.  They said it is no good now.  Said I could forfiet the money and they would go after me for the second ticket expense.  Or I could renew for 3 yrs but that went to lifetime, for 798 plus $100 extra becuase the 3 years expired.  So $898.  They would not send me anything.

The caller ID is from B.E.S.M.  1-954233-2183.

the guy was extremely pushy, almost threatening.  He told me to call him back by 4:30PM today or I would forfeit the money.  He gave me 800-869-2387 to call.  dial 0 and ask for Anthony.  I asked for his last name and he said ID #  9053 is all he could give.

He has a lot of old info but it feels like a scam and he refuses to send info.  Tells me I have to try to make good on the companion ticket or I forfeit the original and then they come after me.  He said my phone conversation was being recorded for the cruise line and the credit card company.
He used open ended questions never asking for my credit card number.  I would not allow this.  He kept saying I had to make an effort towards the second companion ticket or Carribean Crusie Line may not honor the reservation.  It was all too wired.  He said the ship I was scheduled on was sold to Carribean cruise lines.

It feels like a sophisticated scam.

Anyone know?

the new trip he offered becuase the other ship was gone, better trip:
imperial majesty carribean crusise
6-8 3 days bahamas, resort

thursday friday back in ft lauderdale ,

3 days 2 night sorlando

4 days mexico, 3 days vegas

3 seperate vacations.  sell them  no fee to transfer.

Uggghh, have to decide now or else will forfeit.

I am educated but it is really compelling since he knew so much about what I signed up for 3 yrs agi and never used.

It's a scam.  I am more than willing to file the appropriate complaints and join forces to prosecute.  I will check back periodically to this site...hit reply to any who are still interested.

I have learned my expensive life lesson in these past 3 years.  There really are people out there that have no thought of another's well being.  They take advantage of good and decent people.   Believe it or not, I'm glad to know that I was scammed for just money.  I figure the lesson I've learned spread out for the last few years cost me a mere 39 cents per day; but they who have set this up have scammed themselves out of an honest life.  For that there is no compensation, Pity.

Probably 5 years ago this was Ramada Resort vacations or something ... I bought into it and paid close to $700.  When the package came I tried to cancel it and any further obligations but was unable to get a full refund.  About 2 years later they were calling again and told me I had to pay close to $900 dollars or I would be turned in to a collection agency.  I paid it under the impression that this was all the money that I owed and they would not bother me again.  2 years later ... again with the phone calls.  Rather than a Carnival cruise it is now Carribean cruise lines and I owe another 600 or 700 dollars.  I requested that I speak with the manager and argued on the phone for 2 hours.  They finally got ticked off but told me that I did not owe any money and would be removed from the list forever.  BUT ... here we are again with the phone calls.  I'm not giving my credit card information and now I am filing complaints.  I've been lied too and paid over a $1000.  Enough is enough.  I'm in grad school and work full time to pay a mortgage I can barely afford.  These people are crooks.
