calls my work number and hangs up

Calls every day, usually twice. Phoned back and nobody picked up..hmmm....

Twice a day, another site is reporting it as Primus trying to sell you cheaper phone service. Everytime I answer there is no one on the other end.

Me too, couple of calls a day, no message.

I have rec'd calls from this # several times and do not answer #'s I do not know.  I have called the # and never an answer... same as others.  Very weird.

Same as every1 else regarding the nature of this #.  I called the # 4 times in a row to finally reach a Primus Rep.  Asked to be placed on their Do Not Call List. The agent complied and confirmed my # then expressed their apologies for any inconveniences the calls rooted blah blah blah...

I got here by searching for the phone number I found as the "customer service" number on a no-name florescent light fixture.

I got a call today, i picked up, at first there was no one on the line, but then someone with broken english asked for me and I hung up.

Primus is annoying!
I just read somewhere that they claim they do not directly telemarket residentials numbers.. what a lie!
They've called numerous times, sometimes I can't hear anything because their end doesn't work (static), but I have spoken to the same person twice - he asked me questions about long distance calling.. and even though I told him we don't pay for long distance nor do we have anyone to call, he insists we get their service.
They're trying too hard..

get these calls at 12:25pm everyday and nobody is on the other line....I call back and no answer....really starting to piss me off!

It is Primus. I finially got someone to answer and they said they were Primus. I requested to speak to the guys supervisor and he said they'll take me off their list. If you get this number and they don't answer call Primus and bi*** bi*** bi***. If the number calls again call Primus over and over.

lol I wish I recorded the call, I was on fire.

Same bad experience as everyone else with this number. Lots of calls the past couple of weeks. There needs to be a law against such phone harrassment, or some way to bring pressure on the offending company!

Got the same phonecall -- have been getting one or two daily now for the past week or so.  Attempted to call back and got no answer.

Same here. get called no answer on the other end. this forum is comforting.

I contacted my provider regarding with blocking this 1-800-874-1704. Bell cannot do anything about blocking 1-800 numbers, but they give me a website for Canadian Marketing Assosiation.
go to website <www.the-cma.org> click the Do Not Contact Service, and fill up the registration.
They will take all out the call/mail/fax marketing service.
Hopefully this will be the end of the annoying calls/ junk mails and unwanted faxes.....

1-800-874-1704 calls me daily.  I finally got a live person and he confirmed that he was calling from Primus.  I said to remove my number immediately from his database and asked for a number I could call if I continue to get calls from Primus.  He gave me the Customer Service number 1-800-806-3273 which does NOT work for anyone who is not an existing customer!  You can only get service if you enter your Primus phone number or Primus account number!  So, I emailed customer.care@primustel.ca and demanded that they take my number out of their database.  Hopefully this will work.

my goodness! everyday between 10-11 am. this number always call. I hated it, dont know what to do how to stop this.

Theve been calling me daily for about 2 months now and its starting to piss me off, They never say anything when I pick it up, and I call them back and all I get is ringing....if its Primus, ill snap, they really need to respect peoples privacy and stop with all the damn calls!!

Same thing as everyone else is reporting, number calls at least once a day. If I answer, no one is on the other line, if I call back, no one picks up. I just want to kick the $hit out of whoever is responsible for this because they are so effing annoying.

I had asked them to remove my number a few months ago and now they are starting to call again.. i wish there was something that could be done about it.

im sick and tired of getting calles from this # no one the and no answer when i call it back

Called my phone at supper time long distance ring and let it ring at least 12 times while i was on my cell phone having a hard enough time hearing the person i was talking to, when they finally answer their phone (no answer 4 times so far) im going to yell every swear word i can think of at them and i dont care if i get some duplicates in there :P

Didn't answer - no message left.

Got a hangup on my answering machine. Canada 411 reverse lookup didn't work so I googled it. Found this page useful for what it does :)

If it's Primus and anyone from them see it they can go screw themselves. I am with rogers which means CONTRACT, no switchy get the beep hint.

they called me today and there was a lady on the phone she tried to sell  me a cheaper price for my phone, I toled her I am not interested, and I said I am with Shaw, then she said ok thats it.
I colled them back, and I levet a massage on the answering machine. If they call again I will call the police, after I read all all your notes

You say it was Primus??? Those f****n b*****ds! First they taunt me with a lower price, then they tell me my building isnt compatible with their service, then they keep calling! WTF!!!!! Am I the only one who wants to go kick a few faces in?

yes, this number has been calling at least once a day, i noticed it was an 1 800 number so i hadnt yet answered it, i googled the number today to see who it was, and all these weird comments were posted about it, so i called the number back today , and it is just someone trying to sell something, (the woman on the phone did say where she was from but, (shocker, i could not understand her ) so i proceeded to just hang up,
Hope they dont call back.
