request they take your number off. It's that easy.
Harry 2011-08-27 04:00:08 Unknown
I let a call go to the answering machine - a message that an installer would be over in 3 days was left. I have notrequested service and called back to tell them. The caller said OK, not medioacom. I represent Direct TV. Forget Mediacom. I told him I did not want to chance from what I have v- he said I want to make some money just like you do. I hung up. Sleezey company, sleezy off-shore hustler.
Judy 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
can I stop these calls?
John 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
This is Mediacom. I've never yet have them leave a message from this number.
chris 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
this is mediacom cable company
Kyle 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
Do they never leave a message?
Is it an automated call?
Clint 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
You're right, this is Mediacom
SAM 2011-06-06 20:58:35 Unknown
Got a call today. No response, hung up.
Telemarketers will never leave a message on your answering machine or voicemail.
Linda 2011-01-03 19:42:47 Unknown
I pay with direct payment - now the phone calls just come in and when you answer there are clicks and then a busy signal.
Trouble with Mediacom is there is no competition out there... they own the alternate dish service too...
I might just go directly with internet TV...

I have had 4 from this number and just keep hitting ignore!! Mediacom gets enough of my money each month....do not want any other service from them thank you!!!
Lindsey 2010-11-04 14:22:36 Telemarketer
I called them a few weeks ago to get information about starting service, and the guy that I got was very pushy and rude, asking for all kinds of my information, which I did not give him. Unluckily enough for me, I gave him my cell number. I got a call on Monday to confirm an appointment I didn't make for the next day! The lady that called told me it was scheduled for 1-5PM which is completely untrainable, as both my boyfriend and I work. And when I called back to cancel the appointment, the lady that answered told me I couldn't cancel the appointment because I couldn't give her a drivers license number to match the one on file, because I hadn't given them one! So after he got off work my boyfriend called back and talked to a different lady, who I formed us that the license number on record couldn't possibly be correct because it had an 'i' in it! She let us cancel the appointment but I've gotten a call every day from them since! It's getting old fast and if they don't stop there will be drastic consequences.
WowReally? 2010-09-29 18:10:16 Unknown
If they really did sell my number to another company or something what can you do to retaliate? Cause I'm sick of them calling every day. No one answers so i can't say put me on your do not call list or whatever. It's ridiculous and extremely irritating.

Please remove this number from any Soliciting

Just had our number switched over due to telemarketing calls, since then, today we have received 4 phone calls from them (assuming it's Mediacom from the above notes). I called Mediacom as we are up to date on our bill, he could not identify where the calls are coming from but said it may be a sales call-I don't think so. If you receive a call HE SAID WHATEVER YOU DO-DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. I made sure I called the mediacom number on my bill-not the one listed on my caller ID. I would suggest that you DO NOT call this number back-some people are able to hack into other accounts or have a way of using your phone number to steal your idenity. If you need to call Mediacom, use this number: 1-888-847-6228; this one is the one we use for Missouri-not sure if there are different numbers for different states, and have your account number with you. Hope this helps.....we will see if I get any more calls from them.

if you are a customer of theirs - they can call you.
What you have to do -
Call them directly or visit their website and tell them YOU OPT OUT of receiving THEIR telemarketing calls. YOU have that option - but you have to tell them directly - NOT through their telemarketers.
Yes the telemarketers are required to put you on their donotcall list - but they never do - SO go directly to the SOURCE and end it that way. Its also important to note that you have TOLD the telemarketers to do this and they never have. It also helps if you have names, dates and times when you told them to stop calling when you contact them directly.
Katie 2010-08-11 21:05:30 Unknown
They call me daily, I kept ignoring it because it was a 1-800 number! Now that I know it's them I will answer and tell them to stop calling! They should leave a message and end it. If I want one of the specials I will call them, or tell them when I go to pay my bill. Why can't they just send a flyer in the mail? That wouldn't irritate me the way that this is. They are calling atleast once a day.

Same here....Mediacom marketing call

not true

I get calls from them evryday, three and four times a day. Not only do they never leave a message, they only let the damn phone ring once. I might talk to the SOB's if they would give me time to answer the phone.
I'm not gonna call the number back because that is pretty much giving them permission to call even more.
What a pain!
Ju 2010-05-13 23:36:40 Unknown
I am a mediacom customer, and they want to sell more services. I hate their phone service. And my bill is paid
anon 2010-05-04 21:26:11 Unknown
if you do business with companies those companies can actually still call you. Key is you have had to have done business with them or possibly even an affiliate of them. I highly recommend telling companies where to go or screaming frantically and or putting them on with my aunt that has dimensia that really messes with them. Have fun with bill collectors waste their time as they are wasting yours :D
Mindy 2010-04-24 22:33:17 Unknown
I just started receiving calls from this number and am getting them EVERY day. I do not appreciate my phone number being sold off, if that's the case, and I am sick of these calls already! AARGH!! Find something better to do than wasting my time and annoying me, please!
marc 2010-04-08 16:47:06 Unknown
I couldnt figure out who it was. They are very annoying. I wish it would stop.
Kathy 2010-02-02 19:29:17 Unknown
I just received a call from this number, when I answered they hung up on me. I received a call from Mediacom from this number a few months ago about adding their phone service but I wasn't interested at the time. I think it pretty rude to hang up on someone when they answer the phone and just after the second ring too.
Janie 2009-12-18 23:03:03 Telemarketer
I called the number and they said it was probably marketing calls and put me on a privacy list. Said it would take 30 days to process but then no calls should be received.
duh, duh 2009-12-10 23:23:21 Unknown
Actually that isn't the case duh. They are merely trying to get people to add services. Also, if you have their services the do not call list most certainly does apply. The no call list has to do with solicitation. They most certainly do not have the right to call if you are part of the no call list.
hw 2009-12-08 22:01:07 Unknown
First off, learn to spell if you are going to post things online...we all now know that you are a moron. The number is to Mediacom, a cable company.
Jon 2009-12-07 22:28:29 Unknown
They call and when I pick up no one responds right away so I hang up. Once someone actually responded to me and it was Mediacom trying to sell me phone line offer which I told them that I did not need. They have kept calling.
yikes 2009-11-10 19:43:51 Unknown
Mediacom will leave a message if your bill is past due.. They will not leave a message if they are calling to upgrade your services or sell you a new service that you may not have... if you call that number or answear when they call they can put you on their do not call list. Also they will call you if you have just disconnected or downgraded your services to see if they can keep you as a customer by lowering your bill.
YIKES 2009-11-10 19:38:46 Unknown
You say God is on your side, but you spoke the way you did. Hmmm'
You might want to think of other ways to fix this problem your having then posting a message like that online.
