When I called the number it was, in fact, a Conde Nast representative.  After hearing my short complaint, he took this number and declared there would be no more calls, which were coming in far too often.

Received a call to my home phone. A pleasant lady's voice (with strong accent) started to tell me about some publication. I replied that I was not interested, and to please remove this number from their list. We'll see if it works. Maybe we need to annoy the annoyers??

Call to my mobile phone. No message. Hung up before I could answer. My phone is on the Do Not Call list. Go figure.

Called them back and it seems to be Conde Nast - a huge publishing firm.

Idiot!! Calls regularly. Help!

this is a telemarketing call from conde nast publications.

Got a daily call from 800-876-4438. I picked it up once and it says " We're ... publication company. Sorry missed you. ... please call..."

800-876-4848 has been calling my house daily since 12/09/09.  They do not leave a message nor do they respond when the call is answered. How effective can this be as far as a business model?

Calls every day -- sometimes more than once a day.

Caller said they were calling to renew my subscription to the New Yorker and offered a free gift subscription.  I declined and said I would renew online

Been getting a call from this number daily.  When my answering machine picks up, the caller hangs up, leaving only a loud buzz. Since so many people are getting this harrassment, can't the "do not call" people put a stop to it?

I get daily calls from this number, sometime twice in a day, I also get another 800 duper doing the same thing once twice even three times a day. How do you get them to stop?

Heard that this number is connected to either Dish or Direct TV selling your phone number after signing up for their service.  It has been going on since summer for me.
