I just received a call from these people.. I have NO idea why they would be calling me.. I bought my car almost a year ago and am completely current.  No one has used us as a reference.  I really wish they'd leave a little more informaiton other than 30 seconds of Spanish.. HELLO I only speak ENGLISH!  what a bunch of idiots

I missed the call and got a voicemail.  It was a recorded message from someone named Kimberly saying that she wanted to bless me in the same way that she and Craig have been blessed.  Then she said that I could earn up to 1500 dollars, daily, in cash...  And I didn't have to leave my home, buy anything or sell anything...  Then she said she wouldn't call back so I should write the number down.  I did not call back.

called my cell phone and I didn't answer.  after reading other posts.  don't know how they got my # because very few have it and I don't know anyone who bought a new vehicle.

It is a car financing company that checks references car dealers use it. If you get a call and your an employer it is to verify employment. Also someone you know used you reference to purchase a car. It is harmless and beneficial to answer call for the car purchaser. You could also give a negative report to company to prevent purchase but the company checks three references. So do not be alarmed of this call -not a solicitor asking for money -Just checking out a reference for auto purchase hays at least the applicate has faith that you will give a good reference so they can get a car. So answer the call and answer the questions to your friend can try a new car as it will not affect you or credit in anyway.

I just financed a new car loan and they were calling to confirm the phone number on the application--a little late since the loan was approved 2 weeks ago. Also, they called Saturday morning and left a message that said "call us" and when I did 15 min later, found that their offices are closed on Saturday!

Says they were checking on someoine that bought a new car or I was listed as a reference.

Received a call from this #.  Left a voice mail asking if I was {my name} press 1;  If Not, press 2.  I called it back & pressed prompts as if I just bought a car in order to talk to someone!   I did get to a person; she asked if I just purchased a car, I said "no", she said someone may have purchased a car & listed my number as a reference ( I remember a family member just bought a car).  They are just verifying that it is a worknig number.  Makes sense to me.

I have no idea who this is.  All they leave on the voicemail is the phone number.

Got a phone call today automated message just hung up.

Received a call today from 800-877-4696.   Caller Id 'Unknown".   Automated message left saying my name and press 1 if it is me, 2 if not. Several days ago prior to purchasing a car, a friend asked to use me as a reference.  He got the loan and has the car. Why are they calling after the fact?

they just called me and asked via  computer, if this was "so and so", if yes press 1.....what a bunch of crap.

Just got a call from this number and the message asked if I was Tom press one, if not press 2. then said it in spanish. Sketchy.

Just got a call, it is Santander Bank funding dep. Someone used me as a reference, and they just called to verify that they had been given a working number on the reference. No big deal, people doing their job.

You people are paranoid idiots with, dare I say, guilty consciouses. You probably all just kept a friend or relative get turned down for a car loan. I agree that this company could use a better method, but why all the animosity? If you are all too important to spend two minutes figuring out what is going on then simply have your butler, servant, governess answer for you.

Just got one!  It's a automated system.  Asked for me and that someone I didn't know put me down as a reference.  After punching #2, which would decline my association with that person, it continued onto the next step.  Just hung up!  Has to be a scam!

Same here, I answered a girl said hello and hung up on me... gets quite annoying especially when they call over and over...

I googled this phone number. Wanted me to press 1 if it was me and 2 if it was not.

If this number has anything to do with car financing......we have not bought a car in over 8 years and have not co-signed or used as a reference.   They keep calling even though returned call and asked them to take us off the list becauser we are on no call list.

She told me that they financed my loan but on my insurance it is a different place that financed.  She wanted my ss # but I wouldn't give it.  Are they affiliated with Hyundia Kia financing?
