recieved a call from 612-877-8194.  No messages were left.  Called back out of curiousity and "Carl" answered.  He wanted to know my last name before telling me any info.  I said "No!"  He said, "it must have been one of my call reps from window world."  I asked that they remove my number from their calll list because I do not want any further calls from their establishment.

someone mentioned that these call happen when you 30days late, my payments are due on the 26th of each month, it is now the 5th of the following month, only 10days late and they are already starting the harrassing calls. We get paid every 2weeks, getting paid again in 2 more day, plan on paying then, just didnt have enough to pay every bill last pay period. Just a little annoyed with this, when we were never last on any payments before.  Just give us a chance to become 30days late before starting your harrassing phone calls, exspecially before you start calling our place of employment.

This person keeps calling me too. Everyime they call though they ask for if some random person is there. I told them they had the wrong number but I can hear people laughing in the back. They keep calling about 3 or 4 times a day.

I have had repeated voicemail messages with instructions to return their call at this number.  So I looked it up to find out it was a solicitation from Kay Jewelers.  I've never shopped at a Kay Jewelers amd I'm not going to start now!!  I think it is pretty tacky marketing scheme.  I'm not going to call them to tell them to stop-wouldn't want to encourage them.  If anyone is interested in taking this issue further, I would support it.

Wow, whoever left the last msg, you're an idiot, it's a sales call, not a collection call, i get the same call once a week because I bought a ring there.  Welcome to America, the land of Retail!  They are calling us because they CAN'T pay THEIR bills, and need to sell some jewelery, not because we didn't pay our bills, you are the dumb a**!

We get calls from this number when our payment to Jared is late.  They call on behalf of multiple jewelery stores likely owned by the same parent company.  I've talked to them and they're generally very nice.

It's not a solicitation. If that number is calling you it's because you have business with them or someone from that phone number does/did.

Have had about 5 messages on voice mail from 800-877-8194 over the past few days - "important call from your jewler". Answered the phone this morning and it was Shaw's Jewlers (so they said) and they were looking for my metally disabled sister-in-law who has never shopped at Shaws and doesn;t live with us. Wouldn't tell me what it was in reference to, and the caller (a woman) was fairly short with me. Wouldn't talk to me about details even after I said the person she was calling for couldn't speak for herself. She insisted on having the name of her guardian (I didn't give it), then said we could call the 800 number to verify. Haven't tried that yet, don't want to be ID'd on their caller ID. If it's a matter of identity theft, I'd like to get it cleared up. My sis-in-law doesn't even have a credit card! So... all this is just for others who may need to know. I have no idea what this is about, but it doesn't sound legit to me.

If someone's laughing in the background, it's because the collectors on the floor are a bunch of goofballs, sad to say. The number belongs to Sterling Jewelers. It's a parent company to twelve different jewelry companies, including Kay, Jared and JBR. This particular 800# calls when you're one payment late. It is NOT a sales call. If they have a wrong number, tell them. Generally the collectors who know how to do their job will remove it and apologize properly. There are of course a few dips who don't care and move onto the next call, but if you tell them again it should go fine. There are plenty of people who skip out on their bills and sometimes they use 411 or other searches to try to locate that person, so wrong numbers are common. They're on an automatic dialer so sometimes there's dead air, sometimes a collector doesn't say hello right away, they can't help it. Trying to irritate a collector just makes them schedule a call-back in, oh, say five minutes. If you owe money, please rationally handle it like an adult and either make a payment arrangement or tell them you can't pay. If you don't have an account, just tell them. There are morons there, I won't lie, but most will apologize for the calls and remove it. Trust me, they know how much the dialer can call someone, and they don't like getting yelled at because some higher-up decided calling people four times a day is a good idea.

This phone number belongs to a collections agency for Jared Jewelers and similar jewelry stores. Anyone on here giving people a hard time, likely works as an unsuccessful, frustrated debt collector. Just ignore their stupid, judgemental comments, just like their stupid phone calls.

Just a heads up!

Actually there are 2-3 large jewelery chains that are owned by the same company as Kays and also use this collections number, so it does not just have to be Kays Jewelers calling you.

I know I would be worried if a jeweler was calling me telling me I owed money and I didn't, simply because it could potentially be id fraud, so it seems advisable to handle these calls in such a situation.

Keep receiving calls at our company office from 800-877-8194. At first they would leave a automated message saying they were a jeweler and need to speak to you . Now they hang up every time we answer. They call several times a day. We think they are trying to locate an employee of ours.
