This is a medical collection agency - they had the wrong # - but were very polite on the phone when I let them know.

Always calling . I answer and no one is on the line. It's sad that you can't even feel at peace at your own home. Just a bunch of leeches.

Got a call from this number today it was Patient Financial Sevices ' Hopital bill collection

JUST an FYI:

Keep in mind what ever personal information you provide to the FTC including your contact information is forwarded to what ever agency your filing a complaint about.
Basically you are verifying your contact information as well as your identity..

I filed a formal complaint with the FTC regarding this company. I received a call from a woman stating that she had pulled my IRS records and was going sue me based on my income.. LMAO, What income?  Since I filed the formal complaint, the FTC contacted Medi Credit agency which in turn has now forced them to re-double their attempts at calling both my home phone and cell phone every 30 minutes starting at 8am up until 8:58 pm 7 days a week. I now receive calls from personal cell numbers, blocked numbers, calls listed as 800 service, Caller id showing "0" and other strange numbers yet when called back to the voice mail states it is Medi-Credit.
I called the FTC to ask what I need to do to get this issue under control and was promptly told, "That is a legal question and we are not allowed to give an answer. Do what you feel you need to do."

I also asked what happens if the Company does not respond, once again I was told, "That's a legal question and I am not allowed to answer that."

They have been calling me at least twice a day for the past couple of weeks. Once at early as 6am, and a few times as late as 9pm. I picked up for them once, the first time they called. They asked for someone who wasn't me, to which I said they had the wrong number. They shouldn't continue calling a wrong number. This group is full of some annoying asshats.

If you block that number, they will route the call through another state, then another, they have many exchanges they use.  I love the "We have to verify if your the one we called, could I please have your phone number and the last 4 of your social... NO... YOU CALLED ME,   i just ignore numbers I don't recognize, and I don't have any outstanding bills.

this number(1 800 888 2238) is like a song from the 70's  Don't call me I'll call you: I do believe the state of Florida has a solution to this problem It's called Stand By your Phone. Just ask the Florida Hospital in Orlando about their emergency room doctors(who don't work for the hospital but for than self but send Medicridit corp to collect) who take one look, prescribes MED's and takes a look at the X-ray than charge you $700.00 plus dollars for his service. That's only his bill, the other shoe drops when the Hospital sends you there little bill. Great country we live. The Late and Great  President Thomas Jefferson once said Quote The government is big enough to give you everything you want, is also big enough to take it away Unquote! Congress are you listening???

Try this www.donotcall.gov or 1 888 382 1222  National Do Not Call Registry If they continue calling let these people know that the FCC will investigate there invisible corp and the person calling. I do hope that will help any and all who are in your condition to stop this company in there tracts. Good luck

I got yet another call from this number and after, note AFTER, I was put on hold after answering the phone, I was put on the line with a man who had a very thick foreign accent, asked me who I was, and when I said yes, this is 'blank', he asked me to verify with my birthday and the last four digits of my social. I said no way until you tell me what this is about. He said that it's about some credit information that we received, please verify. At that point, I got very very irritated. I answered, Absolutely not, if you're not going to tell me EXACTLY what this is about, I'm not going to give you any information and I suggest you stop calling me! I hung up and I'm about this close to reporting them to the FCC. I'm so sick of this collections companies calling me and sending me letters that are very vague and they refuse to tell me what this is about. Like hell am I going to pay money for something that I have no idea what I'm actually paying for.

Company is called medi credit. They are a debt collector for doctors and hospitals.

Calls at least once a day, getting very tired of it.

I started getting random calls from this number two weeks ago, I answered, and there was nothing but silence. It just hangs up.

This number keeps calling me 4-5 times a day, but they never leave a message. It's very frustrating because I'm disabled, and can't always get to the phone, but when I do, it's them! I want them to stop harassing me.

Gosh I hope it's a form letter, your language skills are awful. I bet you don't even speak English. Got a call from these idiots on numerous occasions. I think all businesses should be required to have their name show up in caller ID, if they do leave a voice mail never say who they are calling for. If I don't know number, if it comes up unknown I never answer and then I block. My husband decided to answer he got some crap about them receiving a blank application for Medicaid along with a hand written note from my husband for $26.92 medical bill. My husband knew nothing about a Medicaid application or this hand written note. They were more then happy to start Medicaid application. My husband insisted he knew nothing about this, lady would not listen,  every time my husband said he had know idea what she was talking about the ruder she got. My husband finally said please send me a copy of this application, the hand written note and a copy of the bill. Surprise, surprise she was unable to do that due to some total bs reason and she ended the call. We are more then happy to pay our bills, we are not perfect, bills get forgotten, lost, regardless if thet want payment then they should be more then willing to provide you with a copy of the bill and anything goes else they claim to have.

I'm gonna get that app and see how good it is :)

ASC is a student loan collection agency, I believe it is not a governmental org, but private.

They too call me over a bill that has already been paid by medicare. Reported then to FTC and my state att. office. They are trying to comit fraud.

these people call me all the time .the calls start eary in the morning to 9 at night .i am sick and tierd of these people...If they don`t stop calling i am going to sue them

They keep calling my cell and when I call back I get an automated machine asking me to leave a message. I am just going to add them to the call block feature this is RIDICULOUS...

I keep getting many different numbers calling me and annoying me, I got this one today too. I installed the app Privacy Star on my cellphone and just added it to my blocked list. The app is free and it stops them bothering me everyday.

I've been trying that.  Hanging on while I wait for a Customer Service Rep.  Everytime, they disconnect while I'm waiting.  How annoying.

How do I stop this harassment?  My husband who owed the debt is dead.  He left nothing behind but debts.

The message left had my full name, first and last, which, in itself was scary. The message said to call about collected a debt owed, which is unture, as I ahve an excellent cred it rating.

1-800-888-2238 is a scamming/phishing group.  They are trying to get personal information out of you to obtain credit reports or access to banking accounts. My advice, if you don't known the phone number don't waste your time calling them back.  I screen all my calls through my voice mail box, unless I know the caller personally.  If it sounds fishy or my gut says there is something odd about the caller, I don't call back.  Be smart don't get caught.

My medical has been paid for since January and they still kept harassing me till this day. I spoke to the billing people at the hospital and they said I had no bills with them that were due. I asked them to call medi credit to confirm my account was paid off. This was a month ago. Still getting phone calls and medi credit stated they never received any phone calls from the hospital. I'm frustrated and I have to call the hospital again. I don't know what to do :(
