Someone called claiming they were Directv, but after contacting Directv, we were told that this party that called us was a collection agency.  We don't have any past due balances with Directv, yet this person who called threatened us and hung up on me.

A very smart aleck lady called from this number asking for a person who doesn't live here.  Then, asked if I was his wife.  I basically said they should know who they are calling and that further irritated her.  WHy is this such a surprise to telemarketers (or more likely had the flavor of a collection agency).  To add to all this, it was 8:15 on a Saturday morning!!! Are you kidding me?

They keep calling and saying nothing.
Sometimes they claim they are collection agency and whatever bill they are talking about is unheard of to me. I called the company whom they claimed reported my account to them, but this company has no records and of course i had no account with them.

This number 1-800-888-8619 keeps calling yet they never leave a message.When I try to call it back I get a busy signal.

They call and say nothing and hang up. One time they called and claimed that I had won some sort of sweepstakes. Everytime I call back I just get a busy signal.

Harrasment calls from this number daily dont know what its about but need it stoped

This Collection Agency calls me at least once a week.
I have a prepaid cell phone and they keep leaving me messages
asking me to call this number.

Someone is calling my cell phone from 1-888-222-4227 trying to find a couplke of people I do not knwo.  I keep telling them that this is the wrong number and to take me off their list, but they just keep calling. I asked for a supervisor, but they said there want not a way to reach a supervisor.  

I would not answer the phone, but sometimes it comes in as unknow number or maked private.

Received that call at 12.52'o clock, did not leave any message when I try to call back its always busy. Search the address did not get any information. All I want to suggest to everybody that do not pickup the phone if that phone number does not belong to your phone book or you do not know the number in other words thats what I do. Good Luck To All

I got my new cellular phone and new number.  I received this phone call the first time, I didn't answer it though.  How can I block this number or I can't, can verizon block it for you ?

I get calls from these people every day about an old debt. Can you tell me more about this statue of limitations. I don't like the fact that they turn a $300.00 debt into a $2500.00 debt and it already been written off by the original debtor.

I have been receiving calls from this number for the past week or so.... i have tried calling back but all i get is a busy signal. Tried searching number and it took me to this blog. Who the hell are these people. I have nothing in collections, and i know that for a fact! Just pulled my credit report and no collection agency is on there. Does anyone have another telephone number for these people?

Getting calls from either OSI or RSI, probably the same company for all I know.  Was calling for my wife and woman on other end was very rude and would not provide me with a number to call them back.  I have received multiple calls from these people and have done some rescearch on these slimeballs.  Turns out, they try to threaten wage garnishment on a debt that they cannot confirm.  This is a shady thing for them to do, and is possibly illegal and has a good chance of not holding up in court when they attempt to persue it further.  You can also request a statement and see if they will comply, that way you have written proof when you take this to a lawyer for advice.

This company is O S I Collection Services Inc., 5022 Gate Parkway N Suite 204, Jacksonville, FL 32256.  I'm not sure that address is still valid.  They have many, many phone numbers, and apparently use them all to try to keep people from recognizing/avoiding their calls.  They appear to specialize in trying to collect very old debt that they can pick up cheaply from companies who have given up on it.  The statute of limitations for collection is 10 years, I believe.  From what I have read on the Internet, OSI uses strong-arm tactics and lots of threats, but because the debts they are seeking to collect are past the statute, they can not actually do anything but harass you, and even that you can stop by writing a letter telling them to stop (http://www.mfy.org/facts_credit/StopDebtCollectors.pdf). From what I've read, in many instances, the recipient of the call was not the person OSI was looking for, but the caller from OSI becomes abusive when told he has the wrong person.  In my case, I got this call for the first time today and have owned this phone number for 2+ years. I did not answer, but found a message from a fembot on my voice mail. "This is about a personal business matter. It is not a sales or survey call..." etc. Said to call them back at (866) 235-7693. I waited and called that number from my desk, which is a government phone that blocks caller ID -- in case they were spam callers, I did not want them to know their call to my phone had reached a live person. The recording at the 866 number identified the company as "OSI" but said nothing more about their business, just the usual recorded apologies for all their operators being busy and the choice to stay on the line or press 1 to leave a message. No way I was leaving a message. I put them on speaker while working and waited close to 15 minutes out of curiosity and a desire to report them for violating the Do Not Call registry, but nobody ever picked up. Many other people on the Internet have reported getting nothing but busy signals when calling back.

They keep calling my house wanting to talk to me and my husband ask why and what for they say they can only talk to me about a past due debt. I have no out standing debts. I am going to report them to the Atty. Generals Office and put a block on this number. I feel like they are a scham.

I don't know what kind of company this is, or what phone service provider would even allow them to have a toll free number that is very annoying and perhaps very aggravating to individuals.  This number have been calling my cell phone for the past several weeks and says hello, and then the call is disconnected.  Once they asked for my husband, but when I asked who was calling, once again the phone was disconnected.  This company needs to be put in its place real soon and I would be the one to do it.

I have been getting calls on my cell phone from this number for months! I never answer and I always get one of those automated voicemails. After reading these posts, I can only assume they're trying to collect a debt which I'm not aware of. Not only are they calling my cell, now they're calling my work! I will never answer or call them back, so let them keep calling. Morons.

Recv a call on 12/16/2007 a Sunday!!!  Called them back this a.m. and spoke to Irene a supervisor, she asked for my phone number, put me on hold and came back on a told me she couldn't access my number that it must be in "que."  I told her to call back.

Yes I got them to stop calling me, I got nasty to them when i talk to them told them they had the wrong number and they where calling me all the time. Now they have stop calling me.

I don't know who this is and when I try to return the call, as seen on my caller ID, it's always busy!!  They NEVER leave a message and they are calling my cell phone number!!
