I just received a call from this number as well...

I also got two calls from the same number this afternoon, less thatn 2 minutes apart.  Does anyone know who this is?  Mark

the call was for a person with my youngest daughters first but the last name was different..daughter has not lived at this number for many years and the caller id had the call listed as unknown..could not tell if it was a british accent or not but my home number is listed on the "no call" list.  Called on a Sunday as I was at church.  The message stated it was something about World Financial Bank or something.

Same as comments above...who is this?

I'm receiving this call on a regular basis and would like it to stop.  Any suggestions?  I think it is a phishing expedition to acquire working phone numbers and/or active credit cards.

Had a call left on my answering machine. Says they are World Financial Network. I do have an account with WFN so I returned the call. They were insisting that I give them information like account number and last 4 of my social. I told them I wouldn't give that info to them. She said they couldn't help me if I didn't. I told her if they need to contact me about my account they can write to me.

Suspect a scam as my account is paid to date.

I received a call from them as well. I see that there are posts going back to 2008. Obviously they are still at it. DO NOT give any account numbers of any kind, especially bank or credit card numbers thinking this is in regards to them.    SCAM ALERT

Just got a voice mail at home.  Like others, in a British accent "This is not a sales call.  800 888 9265."

It is a call for a survey to see how your credit card is working for you.  Nothing important

World Financial Network National Bank handles alot of the store credit cards..Roaman's, King Size, Woman Within, Brylane Home, etc. My message cut off without saying anything other than "this is a personal business matter" so thanks for letting me know who it was who was calling. I can ignore this one!

called & kept putting 0's in for acct number & 9's for ssn, when I asked why they were calling kept saying they were calling for "my name".  but would not tell me why they were calling me.  So I hung up on them.

I am recieving calls everyday from this number and I get the same crap as listed from others. SCAM!

I got the mystery call from an unidentified number asking us to call 800-888-9265.  Calling that # got me nowhere since there was no information about who had called or who I was calling.  

Fortunately, someone on this forum mentioned World Financial Network National Bank in the message they recieved.  That turned on a little light bulb for me.

My wife has an account with Woman Within.  When I set up for on-line bill pay, it came up with WFNNB as part of the account name and an 800 number that actually got me through to a live person (866-776-9859).

This has been quite frustrating and makes me want to never do business with anyone associated with WFNNB again.

Same thing happened to me. Called the number got the same message. I waited for about 10 minutres and never put in a number, kept getting same recording, about no number put in...this recording kept coming on no matter how long I waited to see if I could talk to a person finally after about 10 minutes the recording responded with a message of no number added and hung up. I called phone compnay and they checked while I was on line with them.........which lead me to this site. Was told if continues call FCC.

I too received this call and did not have my account number.

Couldn't get anywhere on the number they gave me
Looked on kingsize's website called the number they had, asked me for my account number or to enter social, I entered social... couldn't recognize the kepresses, tried everything couldn't get a human
Called kingsize, got transferred to someone who transferred me to someone who finally was able to give me a number to call to get a real human being (tm).

I then pointed out to them that these guys have a bad rep for availability and asked them to consider pushing back to WFNNB or choosing a different vendor.  I would suggest to anyone who has one of these store cards to do the same.

I received this call at work on a government phone. They left a voice message that said "This is World Financial Network National Bank calling regarding personal business matter. This is not a sales call. Please call us at 800-888-9265."

I did not call it back as I do not recognize this bank nor do I have any account that could be in need of collection! THe caller had a British accent.

i don't know who this is...no way of reaching a live person when i call...don't know what 9 digits they are referring to...how scary...!!!

People that cant speak very good english answer the phone when I call back, want me to verify personal information (i refused) since they call blocked numbers and dont tell who they are. I WILL NOT leave personal info with anyone that I can't verify who they are!!!!!

I received a call stating the is "world financial network national bank,  this is not a sales call, this is a personal mater, please 800-888-9265" I called the number listed.

I got an automated system that required a 9 digit account number. I enter tried different things and found entering 9 "0"s 3 times got me to a customer service rep. The only thing they told me was that my wife was listed on an account and that they could not tell me any more that that, so she will need to call them about this matter. As far as I know, we do not have an account with them.

If we find out any more, I'll keep you posted

why make it so hard to find out where you are calling from???? I don't know what account number to give them. If i do not know who they are... 800-888-9265.

it is world financial bank. i called and put in a bunch of zeros until it finally transfered me and that is how they answered. i hung up hope this helps

I received the same information; "Please call World Financial Network National Bank regarding a personal business matter. This is not a sales call. The number is 1-800-888-9265. Thank you.". I looked up World Financial Network National Bank on Google and there was a link to a Citibank credit card, however, the phone number to call was different! Since Citibank is located a few miles away, I figured they could just send a letter asking me to make an appointment with an official bank representative at the local office. Definitely must be some type of scam! Never return any call and never give out any personal information over the phone!

World Financial Network National Bank (WFNNB) is a credit card bank for OneStopPlus.com, Woman Within, Roaman's, Jessica London, Avenue, King Size, BrylaneHome and Bargain Catalog Outlet, Victoria's Secret, among others.  This phone number is the collecting agent.  I was 10 days late on a payment and they called to remind me about it.  It's nothing sinister.

I called and got so mad I wanted to know what they wanted  so I gave last four numbers of SS It was soo stupid now what.

I've rec'd calls showing "out of area" ID for about 4 wks.  They never leave anything on voicemail.  I've answered twice, the first being a woman caller speaking of a delinquent acct with "Woman Within".  I asked her to bill me and she hung up. I answered next call and a male with accent said he was the accts mgr with ????.  I could not make heads or tails what he was saying, except woman within.  He asked me to verify info, I said write me.  I was able to get this phone number from him (1-800-9265) and he was calling allegedly from Columbus, OH.

That's crazy, never give your information to someone you don't know.  That's how you get your identity stollen.  That person probably works for them.  I got the same messages as everyone else.  I'm giong to ignore it.
