This You are ATT scam is now using 800 301 2600

I have been receiving these calls for months. They call up to 10 times a month on both phone numbers on my Verizon account. They always leave a message about a Verizon credit and at the end of the message it says something like - remember at Verizon we care about you-

A call claiming they are verizon saying "I won 330 dollars"

Same thing "you have won a credit of 330" Congratulations! I will ignore...I hope they don't continue coming!

This number called me a few days ago, it was an automated message and has now called me again about $143.00 off of my Verizon bill. They give you a website to visit, www.vzw134.com to redem, and the call ends with "here at Verizon wireless we care about you, thank you." This is super annoying.

Got a call from 800-888-9613 asking that I log onto VZW74.com.. to receive a refund for $74!.. I am verizon, but seriously, just got one the day before and it asked that i login under VZW64.com as well!.. NO ONE Is giving away money for NOTHING.. SCAM YO!

I got 2 calls today while I was at work, no message was left. And a coworker said sounds like a scam to me leave it alone so I didn`t call them back.

Looks like they are still at it. They left a message (front was chopped off) and I'm supposed to get $334 from Verizon. HA! This call came to my Verizon Cell, not my home phone. Maybe if we call Verizon they'll put a block on this #. One can only hope.

Getting phone calls saying we won money towards our Verizon bill.

I received a call from 1-800-888-9599. At first I let it ring to VM, but then called back (thinking it may have been my cable provider to confirm an appt I'd made) , but the sound from the other end sounded something like that of a broken office machine. The number called back 3 minutes later and the recording stated that I was to collect $194 on my Verizon acct and gave an internet address to claim the sum. I am a Verizon customer, but let's be serious, the ony thing Verizon knows how to do is take money lol.

Calls several times a month sometimes twice a day.. I have just stopped answering the call and they never leave a message. They say log into version to redeem $350.00 credit. Never have and never will. I have a sprint phone and plan.

I have got the same call dozens of times. I called Verizon and they say it's a scam call and don't fall for it. Verizon's security would like to get more calls on this site so they might be able to  get them busted!

They Just Called My cell phone and wanted me to send them $300.00 dollars to shave $300.00 dollars off of my phone bill

Keep getting calls several times a day with no voicemail.  when i try to return the call, i get a loud beeping tone.

Got a call on cell do not answer this number they stated it was Verizon it is not

I keep getting call from 800-888-9599. Two or three an hour can someone please put a stop to this?

Apparently the spammers are working on Sundays these days.  They just called me, but didn't leave a message.  We don't have Verizon.

it called twice while I was at work left no voicemail. tried calling back the number and got some weird toned busy signal.  I have t-mobile

I get calls from 800-888-9599 two or three times a week can someone please do something to stop this.

I got the call, saying I owed $174.00 to verizon. I called Verizon and they didn't know what I was talking about, I was paid in full.

we can't do that for you here, this board is technically for posts giving us and everyone else info on who calls you! In this case I suggest strongly that you file reports with the FTC & FCC..

The message left - since I didn't pick up' was garbled. It's now filed away in my call log as a scammer, thanks everyone!

Got 2 calls about 20 minutes apart. Didn't answer.

Calls to Verizon are probably useless.  This is obviously a scam not run by Verizon and unless Verizon chooses to personally take legal action against them then there really is not a whole lot you can expect Verizon to do.  Best bet is to call your State's Attorney General and report this number.  It is clearly a fraud and unless reported to legal authorities there is very little that will be done to stop them.

LOL! The DNC only covers telemarketers. They do not protect you from the scammers,frauds, extortionists and other such law breakers.  You have to file the reports according to the type, telemarketers (selling goods and services) to DNC, the rest go to FTC & FCC, and if you get nasty extortion then those go on to state attorney General, DOJ,FBI. And sometimes you need to combine them all.

Don't answer numbers you don't recognize, you can use a whistle or boat fog horn, or buy call blocking phones or devices.  Never push numbers, they don't remove you and that only verifys they have a live number.

I think its their own collection agencies. Strictly on their behalf,  I believe both companies are happy, everyone thinks its a scam....
