They hang up when I answer the phone. Each time I don't answer, they leave a message.

You can report spam about the website they are trying to direct you to (it might also change at times):
shop.whois.com/support/report-spam.php  Enter the domain name (the website they want you to go to) & in the Enter Message Body tell them what your phone message is and let whois know that they are directing callers to the specified website for scam purposes.

Does anybody know if this Is connected with another number 845-764-9442? Because I have been getting calls from both numbers constantly for the past few days. After googling it today I've now blocked both numbers but just wondering how they got my number.

The 800 number was hacked.  The company knew nothing of this until they got bombarded with calls themselves.  Verizon was out and hopefully the issue has been fixed.  They were told that it will take 24 to 48 hours to shut that number down.  I do not work with this company but I work in the building and I know that they feel horrible for this.

If you are a T-Mobile User go under System Settings (lower right 3 horizontal bars); select Call, Call reject, Rejection list; click on the plus circle at the top right and add the number.

Please stop the 20 calls I am receiving PER DAY on my CELL!!!!

Got the call and called it back got a busy signal. Looked it up on white pages and found 1 result for 1-800-888-9612 the company is Bert Smith & Co 1090 Vermont NW Ave Ste 920 Washington, DC 20005. This is all I found.

This is a scam, we've been hearing about it in our area and were advised to turn it in to the local sheriff or police dept.  They are trying to get all of our info and it's been going around for quite some time.  I just got 3 calls from them in the last hour that I was gone and only got one message out of it.  Same as some of you have gotten.  a made up web address for Verizon telling us we got $63.00

Called twice today. I ignored the first time because I usually don't answer 800 numbers, especially on my cell. When they called the second time I thought maybe it was something legitimate. The automated message was already in the middle of his sentence when I answered. Said something about Verizon Wireless and me getting $63 off my next bill, then I hung up. As I Verizon customer I know better than to think they would give a discount on my bill :-)

I have had three calls in 15 minutes and didn't answer.

So far, I've gotten 2 phone calls from this number today. I don't answer so they leave a partial voicemail message. Its a robotic voice and the message is brief and not understandable. The Verizon website has a discussion about this and has a link where you can report it to Verizon.

Called me numerous times today and I didn't answer.  Left a voice mail which was only half a recorded message, said something about Verizon.  I called the number back and only got a busy tone.  I'm blocking that number.

It is a scam. These people should be shot when they are caught.

Received a call twice.  A complete phishing scam. Don't go to the provided website (vzw63.com) and DO NOT enter your credentials.  It's just there to capture username/password/billing code to use for malicious use later.

When I picked up, I got a recorded message explaining that if I sign in at www.vzw63.com, I can get $63 of credit on my Verizon bill.  Obviously a scam.  Hope they go to jail.

10-15-13 received a call from 888-9612. I did not answer and was called again with in 90 seconds. Time was  1430

same message as the rest about $63 off my Verizon bill.  didn't go to their site.  Guessing it's a scam.  

I received thrre calls yesterday and two today. I thought it was legit but all I get is bad feedback when I mention this promotion. I guess its a scam, but what else is new

I just received an automated call on October 15 @ 1:53 pm EDT from 800-888-9612 telling me to go to www.vzw63.com to collect $63.

Said they were from Verizon to give me $63.00 to pay my next bill. I don't have Verizon. Think it's a scam. Also received a scam credit card call from a different number (650-777-5358) about 1 hour prior.

I have a safe link phone thru trac phone. I keep receiving calls from this number. I haven't answered it.

I also just got this phone call. It's not legit. Verizon would never create some random website and expect you to log in to it with your existing credentials. They would do any kind of promotional thing like this on their existing website.

This is a phishing scam.
