Funny all I got on my answering machine was long recorded elevator music.

You're either completely retarded, or you are one of them disguised as a regular person. This is obviously a scam people do not listen to anything "Damomma" says.

Called them back and it was on a medical bill that Insurance paid most of it off, got my first bill on what I owed last month and made a payment, two days ago I got my second bill and they are already calling, they tell me they are not a collection agency but work for the hospital to make sure people make their payments and of course they want you to up your monthly payment, Well so does every other medical bill.

What's really sad is I would of never had this bill if it wasn't for the Doctors Screw Up on medication, even brought up how I thought it was causing my problems and after a $8000 trip to the ER found out I was right.

Constantly calls but when answered is a recorded message. callback can't get thru.

We recv'd a call from this number and they left a essage on our machine. They are collecting on a debt and are from UHS Collections. I have not called yet for more details but do intend to. I am trying to repay all of our old debt.

I'm getting calls from the 1-800-889-6638 number but now they say they are UHS Collections.

I am sick of gettin these calls,the do not call registery sucks.

They purchase bad debts for pennies on the dollar.  They call using an automated system which will leave you on hold for up to a half hour (I have never waited longer than that).  Even after insurance paid 80% of a bill (and being afflicted with a serious disease "incurable" and so far reqiring FOUR open chest surgeries) they insist that I am some kind of dead-beat. (Yet if I were uninsured the hospital wold have accepted LESS than what insurance has already paid.)  Damn... it is no wonder our health system is so screwed up.  These people are rude, insensitive, bottom-feeders who deserve (for themselves or a family member) to be stricken with life and financial destroying illnesses.  Let them be on the recieving end of the evils of todays corrupted/broken health care system.  The worst part is that they are claiming I owe for a hospital visit that the hospital says they have no record of.  They are the maggots which eat away at our already decomposing financial condition in this country. (offering reduced settlement deals without specifically stating a figure).  On three occasions I have requested/DEMANDED they send me proof in writing of these so-called debts, but that have yet to comply. I certainly hope HELL has one room especially reserved for these "behind the phone, Knights in shining EGO".
Gotta give them this though...they are as persistent as AIDS or herpes.
Maybe their business will be one of the next that "grim business reaper" claims, in this flailing wounded economy.

I have also been receiving calls from this phone number, but I am having the same issue that everyone else seems to have had. They call and when I answer, it is a recorded message. They give a number to call them back at, and then when you call back, you get no answer. It's a little annoying.

This is a collection agency.  They will try to intimidate you into paying this so called debt.  First off, call them back.  DO NOT agree to owing anything.  Tell them they need to send verification of this debt to you certified mail and they are to refrain from calling you any further.
They will more than likely not mail anything to you since this is probably a bogus debt or an old debt that had been closed.
They called me about a week ago and I told them to not call anymore and to send me a copy of this debt.  He asked if I would then agree to pay it.  I said to send it and I would take it from there and to refrain from any further calls.  He was rude and almost shouting at me.  He would not let me speak.  I just went ahead and told him not to call and politely hung up.
I just received another call from them and they left a voicemail.  I called back and when the fella answered I stopped him short, politely.  I told him that I had talked with someone a while back and requested the verification and no more calls.  I was astonished that he did not have anything to say and did not get angry with me.  He knew he was in the wrong for calling again.  I do hope that this resolves the problem.
The first call they tried to tell me I owed an old hospital bill for a hospital that did not even exist.  So, please, do not agree to pay anything.  Demand verification and also for them to refrain from any further contact.

I am getting this same number calling me several times a day and when i answer it either goes dead or a machine picks up and I can never reach anyone. I am pretty sure they are trying to get a hold of the person who had my number before me cause I also used to get calls from the Wells Fargo Overdraft department (sounds like someone was in a bit of trouble).
Anyway, the calls from this place are really annoying and I cant seem to get through to them that I am not the person they think i am!

note to perfect credit 26 June 2008........I hope you are trying to be cute with a stupid comment like "dead beat".  Many people receive calls of this nature simply because they have the same name as someone else who does owe a bill.  Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to do some research and remember the quote "it is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open ones mouth and be proved a fool".

I just called the x333 and they claim they will take my number off their list.  I hope so, because I will turn you in.  You've been told to not call me any more.

These people have called me for almost a year and leave messages.  You can't call them back and I'm sick to death of them.  They say it is about a collection and the calls are for someone I never heard of until these "devils" started calling my number.  FCC needs to take notice and stop this bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
