I received a phone call from this number. A mush-mouthed male left a barely audible message for me to call back regarding a debt. I called back, goes to voicemail, so I found another number, and they can't find my name or account number in their files. I guess I will wait for them to call back.

N****s gotta get a life and understand that cell phone numbers change all the time.
I have no idea who they are looking for.

Called me, I was at the shopping center in my car, engine off, so I answered "Montana Dept of Justice, Asst DA Moo----, how may I help you?" They are looking for someone ans asked did I know this person (who had this cell number a 1/2 years ago. ) told her there was no person by that name working here. "is this really the Montana Dept of Justice?' When I said yes, she said she would delete this number. I thanked her and she hung up. Works for me, try it and see!

Received many calls from this Company. They call my home while I am at work and ask for a dead beat Dana Wood, Message continues, if it is not Dana Wood hang up. If you don't hang up you are acknowledging that you are Dana Wood. Well I am at work and my answering machine picks up......so I guess that means I am accepting that I am another person. I have had so many calls for this person from other companies and they won't stop calling. I have had my phone number for almost four years and its unlisted. I called UCB tonight again and he stated he would take my number off their system. They told me that before when I called and they started calling again. It is very sad to be harrassed especially when it isn't you.

I just received a call from 1-800-890-8548 at 10:30 PST in Southern California on my cell phone. No message left and I don't know who it was. My credit is good, so if it was United Collections Bureau (UCB), I don't know why they would be calling me.

They called me asking for my ex-wife. I told them they had the wrong number and that this number wasn't at all associated with her. I then made him a deal. I told him I would give him her unlisted cell phone number if he took my number off of his list.he said "We got a deal". Eh... even if he doesn't honor it it was fun as hell!!! I asked him how he got MY number and he said they use a service that locates relatives of debtors. It's skip tracing for deadbeats.

Arlene has also called me a few times. She stated that she does not have magic wand to fix my issues so that it would be in my best interest to call her back and stop avoiding her. She's a piece of work. The people that UCB employees are garbage. She called my work every day for days leaving messages. I will not call someone as RUDE as her back. I don't need to be treated like this for something that I have been making payments on.

Received a call as the employer several times prior to May 27, 2009. The person leaving the message was an Arlene. She was very demanding and rude. She said the matter was urgent and that we needed to call her back. As much as I didn't want to return her call, I decided to this time to get rid of her as the employee she was looking for no longer worked for our company. I called at 9 am (EST). I received a recording that stated I was calling UCB and to hold for the next available representative. After holding for a moment, a Mr. Mazzotti (sp?) picked up the line and said "Mr. Mazzotti speaking." I had just begun to say (but was not able to get out fully) that I was returning a call when he cut me off and said "Just a second" in a Jersey accent and transferred me. It rang back to him and he said the same thing. It rang back to him again and I told him not to transfer me that I'm an employee. He did it again!!! I hung up and called back. When he answered, I told him that I was the employer and not to transfer me. I was returning a call to Arlene. He said she wasn't in. I asked to leave a voice mail. He said she didn't have one. (However, she left me her direct extension. Collection agents don't have voice mail?) He asked what I was calling about. When I told him I had a case number, he said just a second, put me on hold, and never came back. Don't collection agents know they would get a lot further with people initially by being cordial?! Come on. It's common sense.
