I got a call at 8:30 am. Asked 3 times for them to pronounce the company name (Bay Area Collections).Tried to get me to confirm my address before they would give me any information. I told them no and they quickly hung up.

Got a call from this # at 830 in the morning.
I didn't bother to answer. I have no known debts other than my mortgage & house payment. And those are above board.
There was no message left. If I hear from them again. I'll give more info.

When they asked me for my address for security purposed and I would not give it to they until they told me what the debit was for the woman told me that Ms. Murphy would have to call me back. I have not received anything telling me I am in collections.

I actually had an opperator to answer but they were extremely hateful. Sounds like a hoax to me!

this place is a very rude and very pushy bill collector. They will refuse to identify their company when asked who they are. They only say the reps name and once asked the company they say are you so n so? I say no and they hang up. The company is Superior Asset Management. Do not deal with them.

This company won't even send me notices of payments recieved or scheduled. They call me, and only say "disregard this call mam" and hang up immediatly with out informing me who they are, forcing me to call back and use more of my cell phone minutes. They shout and swear, and hang up before anything is answered. I have talked to the manager and get the exact same treatement. They also told me what I offered to pay was not enough to them because they have a certain amount of time to close it. Collection companies have 5 years to collect a debt, so they lied again. They are nothing but rude, demeaning, and harrassing. I've threatened a call to the better business bearu and I suggest anyone that comes into any contact with this company do the same.

They called my number and insisted I'm or I know the person they are looking for. They got all the address, phone number, first name, etc. wrong, the only thing they got right was I have the same last name as the person they are looking for.
What can I do to stop them from calling me.

This posting is false and misleading. Summit Asset Management is "NOT" a collection agency.
When you dial the number shown, 1-800-895-3116, the recorder tells you very plainly that the company name is SUPERIOR ASSET MANAGEMENT, and tells you that this is a collection agency attempting to collect a debt.
Summit Asset Management is not, nor has ever been a Collection Agency. If you went to the web site you would see that is is in the Affordable Housing market.
I hope someone will take the time to remove this from this web site and soon.

The same thing is happening to me. Three calls to my CELL PHONE looking for someone with such a foreign sounding name I cannot even pronounce it. I clicked one to say I was the person they were looking for just to get to the bottom of these calls. I got the RUDEST woman on the line that hung up on me for complaining about their invasion of my privacy looking for a person whom I have never heard of or known. Now that we know who this agency is from message above is there some department in Alabama that regulates these people that we can all file a complaint with?

This company should be fined or shutdown by the FTC!
this is a collection agency running around like a chicken without its head.
three different times over 6 months, when we managed to navigate their phone system without it suddenly dropping the connection, we notified a living, breathing, Human Being that the person they(Chris Fairchild) were looking for "Elaine Bifield", doesn't live at this number, never lived at this number, will not live at this number, and is not known by anyone at this number... yet... after a day or two the calls start up again. Yesterday, my patience wore out I yelled, screamed, and cursed at them... 11/09/2007 @ 09:55 the automated call came again.

I'm getting the same call, except it's for Wanda Scott and says to call back chris fairchild at 800-895-3116. I wonder what it is for?
| Tacubo 2007-07-17 14:44:49 Unknown |
They call almost everyday with a message for "Billy White" to communicate with "Chris Fairchild". No company name or reason for the call at all.
