this company sucks!!! i keep getting calls on my cell at work and i dont owe anyone any money or never went to the hospital they are talking about!!! i keep telling them to stop calling but they still call back.this is crazy

The lady called asking me to confirm my name. When I asked her what this is in regards to, she said "I need confirmation of your address..." She stated my address and I said "I am not going to confirm my identity until you tell me what company you are calling from." she refused to tell me where she was from and why she was calling.  If she was a real debt collector (not that she even mentioned that she was) she would have stated the company she was calling from at least. she said she would "call again later" and hung up. This lady is clearly trying to find an idiot to give out their information to her. I guess she just saw the movie Identity Thief because this sounds a little bit too familiar. She better not call again. That's all I have to say.

I keep getting calls from this number. Same messages like all the previous victim to acknowledge if you are miss so and so. Very Very annoying. Any lawyer reading our messages to help us sue this  caller? Pls  lawyer out there. We are so many who will file a compliant

Rubin & Raine is a collection agency. Even after paying a hospital bill in full they sent me a collection notice. They called my home using the number 1 800 899-7246 from August 2011 until February 2012 with a recording that I call 732 676-9408 to confirm that my name and number in their records is correct. I never called them back.
Below is the BBB website showing their location in Eatontown, NJ and government action taken against them.

They're a medical collection company. Offices in New Jersey and Colorado.

They called my cell phone several, I just ignore it.

They called my husbands phone then he gave them my number and a woman named Dlores something left me a message stateing "this message is for "name", if you are not, "name", please hang up now.  If you remain on the line you are confirming that you are "name".And if you can return my call this is a serious bussiness mattter concerning my det.

OffTopic, a lot of people I know are getting snail mail letters from them. They are "trying to collect" for a local hospital that closed 1 year ago! My mother received 2 letters from Rubin & Raine in 2 days (for the same "bill"), but with a different phone number (866-350-5482). Numerous calls to that phone went unanswered. Finally, a woman called us, was extremely rude & hung up on my mother!

Unfortunately, someone we know got one, and sent them a check.

We are looking into contacting the BBB & Consumer Affairs.

On the topic of the "letter" from Rubin and Raine.  We have received 2 letters one for my husband from services in 1998 and one for his deceased grandmother, who passed 10 + years ago for services dating back to 1990.  Crazy!  A friend got some for her deceased father and his company called Rubin and Raine, who basically told them that they are billing for the difference between what the actual hospital bill was and what the insurance paid.  These letter are sent knowing that there are people out there that will not question this and just pay it.  This is wrong.  And when I finally got someone on the phone at Rubin & Raine they were very rude and threatening.

Hey I got 2 bills from these guys that were kind of old. I thought they were paid but after some research discovered only one was paid, the other one  I actually owed. I paid the one I owed and sent proof of payment on the other and they canceled it immediately. The best thing you can do if you receive a bill and think it was already paid is to send them proof and they will cancel it.

I also received 4 letters from Rubin & Raine. One of these bills was 8 years old and I had insurance. I told the representative that I needed to call my insurance company to verify that the bills were not paid. I reviewed my records and I was seen at the hospital on 3 of the dates indicated in the bills. The other instance was a lab test my physician sent to this hospital for testing. My insurance company explained my coverage and I found out that I was responsible for the bills. I have sent my payment to the company as they are collecting valid debts on outstanding medical bills.

YOU CALL THEM BY THESE 800-899-7246 AND EXPLAIN THAT THEY ARE CALLING BY WRONG NUMBER.  BY LAW THEY SHOULD NOT CALL YOU AGAIN.  YOU CAN DO IT IN WRITING AND SENT CEASE AND DESIST LETTER TO THEM BY CERTIFIED MAIL TO BE LEGAL. THERE ARE PLENTY OF SAMPLES FOR THESE KIND OF LETTERS ON INTERNET.  IF THEY CALL AFTER THAT, THEN JUST FILL OUT THE ELECTRONIC APPLICATION IN FEDERAL COURT AND YOU WILL GET $$$$$$$ SETTLEMENT

I have been recieving calls from Rubin and Raine and yes when I need to speak to the one in charge the repersentatives say that Paul or Eric are not available. SO then i ask for just a supervisor and the rep I've been speaking to gets just another repersentative I have already spoke to a week before who could not solve my problem. I guess there is just 4 people working in the office becuase I spoke to all 4 of them and of course I still have not spoke to Eric or Paul. Oh Eric is no longer at the offiCE. I will not give them a penny expecially since the "MAN" in  charge can not even take my call.

I too was contacted numerous times by this company in regards to a hospital bill for my mother.  I had the pleasure of dealing with Mary, who was very nice, but seemed drunk that day too.  Eventually, all worked out in the end, and the bill was in error.  After reading the other posts, thinking there is a lot types of screwing around going on at this place.  AMAZING!!!!
