had a call from cvb collections said i owed money that i did not owe they proceeded to give me this number that was supposed to be virgin mobile. I supposedly owed $800 when I phoned to lodge a complaint the number was restricted.

So far I've gotten about 5 phone calls from this number. I answered the second time and the guy with a heavy accent told me that my number had won or had been eligible to win a large sum of money. I simply hung up on him. I tried calling it back a couple times and got a busy signal.

800-900-1000 is from INDIA with a software program that can be set to any number on your caller id, so they do not afraid of "do not call" stuff or lawsuits. no use to them, best way to handle it is wasting their time if you have nothing to do and chat with them and do not answer their questions.

yes, let;'s waste their time. and lugh at their english too, just say "what" to all their questions, get them mad.. haaa

I haven't answered the phone yet, and do not plan to after reading all of these responses, but this number keeps calling me... at least once a day. I have recieved calls from other number I have found on sights like this as well. It is very very annoying!

A girl with a heavy accent called me and said that I won alot of money and a vacation, so I asked her for more detailes and she said she needed my info to fill out an application for a car loan! I kept asking her questions about it and she got annoyed and hung up!!!!   verry annoying and I want to get to the bottom of this!

I've talked to these people on several occasions.  They are looking for information of mine.  SSN and such.  I don't mind cause I don't usually have anything to 'hide'.

Also, I forgot to add that these calls have been on my cellphone.

I am listed on the do-not-call list, I have received calls from this number up to 5 times a day for the past several weeks. I finally answered today. A man with a thick Asian accent informed me that I had won a $1000 shopping spree and a vacation. I informed him of my do-not-call list status and that I had been receiving far too many calls from his business and not to call me again. I also made sure to include that I did NOT want to accept the offer. And, of course, he did not understand a word I said. Apparently his English is limited to taking the information he needs and does not include "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN." What the heck am I supposed to do to make these people stop calling me?!

This company has called my home twice.  I am on the national no call list.

Has this caller called non-cell phones, I wonder? My phone is unlisted. We have Comcast internet service, but not a land line. I have not answered any of these calls, but if I do, I'm going to ask for an "American". I'm not going to assume that this is affiliated with an American company that outsources its calls.

Caller has called my cell phone three times in 24 hours, and has not left a message on my voice mail. I am on both the state and national no-call lists.

My husband and I received the first phone call Sunday. We had purchased a television online at Overstock.com and I thought it might be them calling to verify the information. I answered and it was a polite girl in a heavy indian accent who knew my name. I have been this route with many other people before and got straight to the point asking what company she worked for and what she wanted. She said I work for unified services and you've won.. I stopped her there and asked her to remove us from her calling list and informed her I was on the do not call registry. Then yesterday (Monday) I received another call. Again, I asked the guy where he was calling from and he said unified services. I let him have it-- I told him not to call again and I was on the do not call list and I was going to file a complaint. ( Probably my mistake ) Guess what, they called again this morning. This time they didnt ask for me they asked for Tom or something... I was like huh? Mind you I'm a day sleeper too!!  So, I asked what company he worked for and bingo unified services. I asked if I could speak to a manager.. He sat there a moment and I said you know manager the person above you. I'd like to speak to a manager.. he got all weird and was like I'm sorry but no. So, yet again I told them I was contacting an attorney. I filed a complaint on the do not call website but I doubt it does a whole lot of good. I would say at this point if you see the number come across don't answer it.. and if you're one of the suckers like me who only found this site because you answered it.. good luck.

This is very creapy.  I recieved a call last night on my phone but I missed the call I tried to call the number back and everytime my phone disconnected me.  Some one should be able to stop these people??  I have a private number which is not listed, how the hell did they get my number??  Do NOT give out ANY iformation to these callers.

This totally sounds like a phishing scam to me to get bank account detail, I too have received such calls.  Heavy indian accented girl tells me I won a trip to 20 possible destinations and 1k online shopping spree.  Tells me I gotta pay 1.95 shipping to receive the package.  SHe says that she is from a company called "Unified Services" based at Las Begas, she even gave me customer service numbers of Unified Services ( Its an ISP company )

She was asking for my bank account detail to deduct $1.95 shipping charges from my account. When I asked her when you are giving away $3000 in total why do you worry about $1.95, she was sort of unanswered. I just cut the phone and ended. Received around 5 to 6 times in total.

The first time I got a call from this prick I said "hello" and didn't get an answer. So I hung up. The second time I just didn't pick up - I was in class - and the third time I yelled into the phone "stop f****ng calling this number." After that, I've been getting about 1 call daily. This has been going on for about a week now, and though it's a minor annoyance, I would love to get my hands around the neck of whoever decided to do this and make sure they never breathed again.

After receiving several 800-number calls (from the Las Vegas scam we learned, from I'd say October until February) they suddenly stopped.  Then today on my husband's private cell phone you guessed it:  1-800-900-1000. Do not pick up. Just do not pick up.  They want some money etc. and if they get you to pick up they'll call back forever.  We did not pick up the other 800-number calls that were also scam phone numbers (from the Las Vegas area -- learned this through a lot of effort - and it is just a waste of time).  REMEMBER FOLKS:  They can't get anything out of you if you DO NOT PICK UP.  They want to make money, not call a phone that never picks up. Think about it.

I recieved a call from them about a month ago.  When I answered, a man with a heavy Indian accent assured me that he was not trying to sell me anything.  He asked me to take a short survey, so I answered a few questions, trying to be polite (because we know how far that gets us).  After a while he asked me to hold on while he got someone else to talk to me.  I was on hold for about two minutes until I hung up.  They stopped calling me about a week ago, but until then I had been getting roughly two calls every two days.

I did not pick up. I went on line and checked out the number.

it called me during english class while reading 2 the class so i didn't answer it but when i saw the crzy number i freaked out but it wudn't let me call back. then later on tht nite it called & when i answered it hung up so i immedatly googled it & found this ghey site. so yea.

I have been receiving phone calls for this number at least 15-20 times now. I'm getting really sick of them calling me and it's driving me insane. When will somebody find out who is behind this nonsense so they can stop annoying people with their stupidity?

I never answer the phone when this number calls but seriously, is there any way I can get this guy to stop calling my phone?!

I am getting 1-2 calls from this number daily. I have never answered it because I was suspicious of the number. Whenever I call the number back I get a busy signal.

Hello. Yes, I too have been receiving calls from this number. For about a week now. I have yet to answer, but I was curious about why an 800 number would be calling me so I Googled the number and found this site. Thanks to all your comments, I think I'll answer and tell the guy off next time he calls.

I'm pretty sure this website was set up by the people who own this number. And they are all laughing at us. Whoever they are , they are loosers and obviously not from the U.S. Lets hope justice is served
