They call me and leave their name only... Mr. Harris, Lashonda, etc.  They never say where they are from or anything.  They call and say, "This is Mr. Harris.  Call me back at -----------.  Who the heck are they?

they are sending letters to my son who had nothing to do with account in question..  call w/o info leaving messages. Try to intemadate.

They just called me and said that my sister-in-law put me down as a reference for a job!!! Can you believe that.  I thought that was weird.  And then she said we have an exciting opportunity for her.  So I said where are you calling from and she just said Encore.  I thought that was all weird because I know she's not looking for a job and if it was a reference they would be asking me questions about her, not....how can I get a hold of her.  So I called that number back and found out it was a collection agency.  Unbelieveable!!! What liars.  So evil!!!

the man that calls from this "unknown name ynknown number" sounds like a smart a**. I did not care for his attitude at all and I had already told him that I didn't know the person he was looking for. What a jerk.

These j*** off debt collectors have been calling my phone for years-  always looking for somebody else.  It hasn't always been this company, but it's always been the same guy they're looking for.  I guess this is just the latest debt collector to buy up a bunch of dead beat's old debts.

In the beginning I told them I am not the guy they're looking for.  I do not answer anymore.  If they want to waste their time, fine; but they won't waste mine.

Everytime I start to get these calls, they'll call for a week or three, then I won't receive any calls for months.  After several months, a different debt collection company will begin to call my phone looking for the same guy.

Pay ur d*** bills!  I would b mad 2 if i had ppl calling me trying 2 collect on money of their that I spent, Evans right, read the FDCPA b4 u start thinking ur a lawyer.

ah sabrina sits right in front of me, if were calling you, you owe a debt, if you dont someone stole your identity and you need to file a police report.  these calls arent fake they are real and you need to pull your credit report and check a few things.

This is my parents phone they call on.  I have no debt except a student loan.  I did not attempt to call back since my parents have received about 10 of these calls looking for me in the past week and all from different numbers but the same message.  I would know if I had 10 different past due bills. The funniest one was from the MN Dept of Health on a Sat morning. How stupid. We all know the government doesn't work on weekends. Wonder what kind of debt I could have with them?

KEEP A LOG OF EVERYTHING- the prerecorded calls to cell phones are illegal and carry a $500.00 civil statutory penalty PER CALL, if the calls are willful  add another $1,500.00 PER CALL. so $2K per call , they made five of them to my cell phone which is GREAT because that is $10,000.00 and is  more than I owe them!!!

You can go to the Federal communications commission and download form 1088G to register a complaint about their use of ADAD (automatically dialed and announced device calls)The online complaint form does not always work so download it, fill in the info with fox reader for PDF and ship it of certified to the FCC)

Who the hell is going to give ENCORE prior express consent? not me!  If they continue to call, call them after hours or on Sunday and leave a voice mail with them, you can record this as long as it is not a conversation with another person! ( you are recording it on their VM anyway) KEEP the recording, request they stop calling stop calling other parties, work whatever, if you keep the audio record,you can kick their ruddy as*es in court.

They will continue to call because they are a corporation that has no soul and no compassion,their ONLY goal in life is the bottom line and they will deliberately injure, harass, embarrass, humiliate whatever it takes. This policy comes from the top down, their management attends FTC meetings like they really care to comply,it is a sham.

Do NOT record any phone conversations without finding out if it is legal in your state, do RECORD automatically announced dialed calls to your cell phone and voice messages left, keep a record of calls to your place of work. : )

These ppl are about ready for a class-action lawsuit.
