I am actually in the process of getting savings on my bill, AND a refund check. Spoke with both auditing managers, I believe one was named Alex.. and the other was Katrina Hudome...as spoken about above. ^^^ At first, i was a little leary.. not sure who they were, or their purpose. But, they faxed me information, and were very helpful, and are NOT with BG&E. Why, if theyre trying to find issue's on your utilities bills for you, would they audit themselves? That would just make them look bad. I dont know about others, but i had a good experience.. i looked up the number to see if i could find one of the managers extensions to thank them on the savings i received, and found this.. figured I'd put my two sense in.

Katrina Hudom your not good at your job!!  Everyday you insist you are BGE and concerned about our BGE bill and we are overpaying. We'll credit us then if your BGE, after a I questioned your company being legit.... you say if you don't believe me "google the number you will see we are not telemarketers, but a brokerage firm"   Well surprise Katrina we have caller ID so I googled the actual number you called from..NOT the 800 you told me too and it brought me to this page.
*** I doubt  BGE will call me and tell me I overpaid!! If anything they will post credit***

I am currently a client of of common wealth auditing firm and they have saved me over 5 thousand dollars on my El Past Electric energy bill. It might sound a little fishy but I assure you that It's legitimate.

I just got a strange message saying they are Auding the Electric company and they may find that Electric company ows me money.

Just spoke with JCP & L to confirm IF they are undergoing an audit with Commonwealth Brokeage.
They know of no such audit and will call the contact that I gave them for Commonweath Brokeage and get back to me with their findings.  After speaking with JCP & L, I believe that this is certainly a SCAM as certain items in the Charges Section from JCP & L are regulated by the
state  and the item that CommonWealth Brokage said was being double billed was one of the state
regulated item , no duplicate or overbill item there.  I will not discuss any details here, as I believe the scam people are probably reading these posts to fine tune their SCAM.  Those posts which indicate refunds were received or "checks" are in the mail are most definately fake.  I would not give them any information and disregard their phone calls.

I just got a call from these people.  The caller couldn't tell me which utility we were supposedly being overbilled on & she used the name of one of our tenants (we are a commercial landlord).  Only...the building that tenant is in only has one gas & one electric meter & it's NOT in that tenant's name.

Also?  If they're such a legit company, then why is their website practically a blank page?

Well I revised my invoice with a young lady and she did bring to my attention I was being double charged on my BGE BILL so the audit is know compleate just waiting on my reimburstment;-)

Common wealth brokerage is not a scam an employee was fired from the job and decided to pay the job back by making up this web site bashing them. i was concerned seeing all the post so i contacted them and asked what was going on with my audit and they kindly explain everything to me. THE BEST PART IS MY CHECK IS IN THE MAIL. THANK YOU COMMON WEALTH BROKERAGE!!!!!!

Let me say this first, Commonwealth brokerage does not require any social security, credit card, or tax information from business owners. People who do not understand deregulation, and actually reading their utility bills are quick to judge something they are not educated on. On the 31st of May, I received a phone call from Commonwealth Brokerage in my office in Allentown, PA.  The representative was very knowledgeable and friendly while explaining the auditing process. During my audit, I received courtesy calls that kept me informed about my audit. To make a long story short, I  have just received a $12, 432 check from commonwealth brokerage with my company?s name on it. Not to mention, they made sure that I had an actual  low ,fixed rate that wont change for 3 whole years ( I was paying at almost  14 cents per kwh with North American energy), that way, I do not have to worry about being over charged again. I feel as if I have complete control of my business. I am completely satisfied with their services and can not wait until my next scheduled audit with them.

Just got a call from 215-995-6776 Claiming to be with Commonwealth Audit Brokerage Firm - You could tell it was from a call center.  Could hear the chatter in the background.

Claims that I was doubled billed on my Electric Bill and wanted me to grab the latest Electric Bill Statement so that I could provide them with my account number.

I told them I needed to find out if this was a legitimate call and where should I call back?  Lorretta Gooden was her name 800-913-4881 ext. 110.  Seems that everyone has the same extension.  I feel bad for those unsuspecting individuals that fall for this crap.

If it sounds like a scam it must be a scam.  Thanks to all who post to the internet so we can verify our suspicions.  Glad I don't have to work for a company like that.

They called my office yesterday, the man was so rude acting as though he was an Auditor for the Commonwealth.  Wanted to know if I knew how to read my electric bill, I laughed and said "Yes but I'm
not going to read it to you!"  He was very indignant.  I did call the 800 number back, got a girl named Ashley, she spilled the beans on the whole call.  When I got to work this morning, I had two messages stating that an audit had to be done, with the number.  I don't think so!

Had a call from this number. They wanted me to fax page one of my electric bills so they could issue me a refund. I had her fax me proof that this was not a scam, so she faxed me the sheet with Commonwealth Brokerage on the sheet. Still, red flags went up. I googled the company and didn't find anything then I googled the 800 number and thanks to your comments I will not follow through with her request. Thanks everyone...you've got to love the internet.

Same type of call from Commonwealth Brokerage.  Lauren at extension 110, Fax # 800-924-9106.  I suspect that after they got you hooked on believing you were due a credit refund, they would then need you to send money to release those funds.

Called where I work and wanted to speak with whoever's in charge of Electric bill so they could refund 'credit'.  Didn't know any information regarding our business, confirmed *a* business address that wasn't ours, but still wanted someone to call back anyway.

I just got the same call - a telemarketer posing as an employee of an auditing firm, telling me that we were, and I quote, "double-billed or over-charged on one of our utilities" and that we were due a refund.  Could not tell me which utility overbilled us, no meter number, account number, etc.

got a call stating they were trying to give us credit for an overbilled bill from the month of may yet they didnt have any of my info meter # or account # or anything. They wanted us to fax over our bill.

Confirmed--go same phone call to switch my electric supplier

Calling to get me to switch my electric company.  Fakes like an independent "auditing" company.
