The person called a couple of times ( persistant) said they were from Verizon and needed to update records.  I said I would call him back -- this is the number he gave.
Verizon said -- they don't make such calls. Obviously a scammer!

My client in DC got a call from this very number! The spiel was the same! I just couldn't decipher whether it was a scam or not...but it feels like a scam! I knew it!

This # called our business telling us that our contract w/ Verizon was expired & we are paying a higher rate b/c we are set up on a month to month basis, & our bill will be increasing every month. I called Verizon & they said this # IS an authorized Verizon agent, but it is not actually Verizon. She told me if I went with this deal, our phone bill would go up $10.00 per month per line, but it did offer additional services we don't currently have (nor need.) On a side note, we don't & never did have a contract with Verizon & our bill is not going to increase every month...per Verizon.

These folks are listed on Verizon's website as an "alternative solutions provider" but the information that the representative from this number gave me about our business account did not correspond to the information I had in writing from Verizon about our account as far as rates and contract terms are concerned.

Many persistant calls from this number stating all of the above information.  I contacted Verizon directly and updated the business account.  The contract had actually expired last October and since we never renewed the contract we would have been subject to an increase in rates.  
The woman that contacted me from this number would not give up and even though I told her I had updated my contract with Verizon directly she gave me some babble about another process I need to go through with her before the new rate would take effect.  She was a true scammer to the end.

i had a very pleasent experince with them. their company has saved me money and they did not switch me to a different carrier i saved money i called verizon and they did hire these people to do this so im completely satisfied and you guys need to hear them out and then take time a research this yourself instead of he say she say thank you very much

Can't get them to stop calling. Our account is up to date with Verizon, yet these scammers keep calling.  I've left repeated messages to stop calling us, since I never get a live person.  They say they are an authorized agent on their recording, yet they seem to pretend to be Verizon when calling our answering service.

Supposedly Taos(sp?) an authorized agent of Verizon.  Not a respectable one if so.

They are indeed scammers and fraud according to the internet article.  other associated numbers are 800403700 and 8004807000 and then the other one they give you to verify if it is indeed verizon is 800483700 which is verizon wireless out of Texas.  Always call Verizon yourself after these people call so that Verizon can block your line from these scammers!

These people are 'slammers' who will take your number and your money. Verizon needs to remove them from their list of 'resellers' if not, then we all need to complain to the FCC and then we need to file lawsuits.  This is ridiculous that anyone can become a reseller for Verizon without any ethics. This is ruining Verizon's name. I have already left messages with this company warning them that they are on their way down. EVERYONE NEEDS TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE FCC ON THIS COMPANY, TELSOURCE. THEY ARE HARASSING, LYING AND TRYING to STEAL. TO THOSE WHO WORK AT TELSOURCE, I HOPE YOU SLEEP WELL AT NIGHT KNOWING THAT YOU ARE LIVING YOUR AMERICAN DREAM, LYING CHEATING AND STEALING FROM ANYONE TO GET MONEY. I just got a call from Felicia Williams today from 18009161132 and it seemed scammy right off the bat. i asked directly if they were Verizon and not a third party and she said we are absolutely verizon and not a third party seller. She completely lied to me. I bought it all and then she asked for my social security number. I was not going to give that up so she asked for our company ID# and i said i wouldn't hand that out either. She said she totally understood and she'd use her SSN on the account. As soon as I hung up I called Verizon and they said it sounded like a scam. Fortunately, I've got a freeze on my local and long distance so it won't be able to go through. I left a message on the machine at the 18009161132 number and I'm ready to give them a piece of my mind ...if they call back.

I got a call from them (TelSource) on Feb 12, 2010 claiming to be Verizon and that Verizon no longer offers the CustoPak service, however they have something new for customers.  They claimed my bill would be $173 / month for the services I have (roughly a $100 / month savings).  Sounded too good to be true but they had a good story.  I bought it and the next month my bill went up $100.  I waited another month to see if any better and the same thing ($100 higher than normal).  Anyways, I'm going to call Verizon and complain and see where it get me.  Hopefully no one else falls for this scam.

I received numerous callls from these people and fell for it - they taped my call and my bill was suppose to go down - just got my new Verizon bill - it went UP by $200.00 - now the journey to try and get Verizon to fix this.  Person calling claimed they were from "Verizon" but really is "Talsource".

Barellia had the nerve to call up and say she was from Verizon and that we would receive a credit for our account and all she needed was an approval. She is harassing us to the point that she has called our store 5 times and our other store 2 times. This is harassment. If Verizon wants to keep them as a vendor then we need to start a lawsuit against this vendor or Verizon for keeping a scam artist company. The company is Telsource. The Barellia has the nerve to say ' have a blessed day' Man, that's one girl going to hell.

Janet, let me get this straight, you called verizon, not the phone number above and spoke to Rachel Bradford? That is hard to believe. If you start with basic premise that your "contract" expired and ask yourself one question, "What contract?" Who has a contract with the phone company? Also, Rachel said that if discontinued service before 3 years I would be liable for a $250 fee! What in the world? This is not the way it works. Either you were scammed or you work with the scammers.

Someone named Rachel Bradford called me and said she was with verizon. Pretty much the same story as above. Give me this number and said her agent number was 1230. The call did not finish and we were cut off. I tried calling the number back but it never connected. Then I found this page by googling the number. After calling verizon and freezing my lines, she actually called me back. I railed at her for lying. She said she was not lying, she was with verizon and she had my bill in front of her!! I told her to take it and, well you know... I called verizon back to make sure they knew about it and they said there was nothing they could do. Caller ID only said private caller and Out of Area.

18009161132 called me and said my plan was about to expire and they needed to renew my term agreement ofcourse not thinking i did so. Soon after my husband told me to google the number to make sure it wasnt not a scam and i came here....      i called verizon and they explain to me that they are a 3rd party company contracted through verizon and not a scam... to my thanks... but i dont want to bring to others attention that they are alot of companies scamming but as the verizon rep explain    if they can not give you your full account number then they are not affliated with verizon. thank goodness telsource was not a scam or i would have one hell of an angry husband

I immediately called verizon to verify the caller's information because I just had a bad feeling while talking to this "verizon representative".  He was not a representative of verizon and flat-out lied.  Call Verizon immediately and put a freeze on your account so that they can't access or change your account!

I get pretty much the same experience as posted above, apart from the people calling are pretty clueless and stupid sounding when I ask them questions and get a bit abusive if I ask them details. They all confirm that they work directly for Verizon.

I get called every Tuesday, in our busiest retail time of the week. This week was the first time some one actually sent me the fax I asked for. The fax is made to look like it came from Verizon and has no sending fax number on it.

I called Verizon to check up on them. They are a Verizon authorised 3rd party seller called Telsource. I made a complaint about them to Verizon, their practices and how they represent that they actually are Verizon, and not a 3rd part seller. I would encourage other people bothered by their calls to do the same.
