Sure enough, we got the same call, that we had won a free Truck, TV or Trip.  The confirmation says that it is a "trip" to Florida for 4 nights and 45 days.  We went to the presentation, which was over 2 hours, and it was high pressure sales.  They offer "discounts" on travel and want somewhere between $3000 and $6000 for the rights to these discounts.  After the session, we got our "trip" voucher.  First, it was a 2 day cruise from Florida with no airfare and we complained.  Then we got the right voucher, and it was 2 nights in a Days in in Daytona, and 2 nights in a Holiday Inn in Orlando, with NO airfare.  Also, we were to pay taxes and transportation.  Further, we were to give a $50 deposit that would be returned after we sat through 2 MORE timeshare presentations.  This is NOT A TRIP!!  That was such a waste of our time that I want everyone to know!!Caller: Simplicity LLC

I am posting this message so that others looking up these numbers realize this is an outright scam, and they should not call them back.

I got a call at work from 'Doris' with the 'Awards Claim Center' who said that I won $20,000 to get my claim I had to call back at 800-918-3224 with the claim id uth304.  A quick google search on the phone number showed this is a scam.

Now wait a minute!  I just got a call from Mandy who said I won.  How can all of you other folks have won, but now I won as well?

All this is is a timeshare offer.  If you have the time, take their free nights, their money, free meals, etc..  Then when you go to the pitch, take an egg timer with you, set it and say "Your 90-minutes start now."  Did  this once in Phoenix, the guy said don't bother, your not going to be interested anyway, and showed us the door.

I to got a call on my work phone today. I called the returning number 800-918-4224 and spoke to a Mary. I asked how she got this number and said she was only a customer service person. Got the manager and could not give me an answer. I parted with no information. I did however get a FAX number 386-538-7515. Jo-Ann told me I could fax all the numbers we had so they would not call them and put them on there DNC list. Since I am just a pee on at my job. How did the get this number?

Got a few calls from this number and they didn't leave messages the first few times. After talking with one of their representatives and adamantly telling him "I'm not interested in whatever you're selling, please do not call me again," They called and left a message with the 800.918.4224 number and the AZ820 claim number. Odd, because my cell is on the do not call list and I always put down the home number for contests.

My husband received a call on his WORK phone which he never gives out from a representative from the "Awards Claim Center".  She told him he had entered a contest a while back and was now one of three finalists set to win either a Ford Explorer or $25,000, a trip, or a 27" TV.  All that he had to do was come to Spinnaker Resort in Hilton Head, SC, attend a 90 minute pressure-free presentation where they don't try to sell anything, and at the end of the presentation we would receive a scratch-off card telling us what we've won.
He called to discuss this with me, and I immediately smelled a scam.  I researched the contact number given on the internet(1-800-918-4224), and  found many examples of how this company is trying to get people to commit to attending a presentation that turns into a longer-than-90-minute nightmare, with no prizes.  PLEASE get the word out on Quincy Marketing, and their slimy schemes so no one will be duped!

knew this was all very suspect, not surprised to find out this is simply another scam.  A fool and his money will soon part.  2 nights in a hilton head resort named spinnakers resort.  will win a prize somewhere between 25K in cash and a new ballcap.  Possibly a prize somewhere between the two...amazing how stupid people can be!

I can not get these people to stop calling.  I've tried faxing them a letter and calling them. I finally asked for a supervisor, his name is Richard, what a jerk.  He tried to tell me our company was on the no call list and so I asked him why they keep calling then?  He said "Screw you".  How professional.

Received a voicemail message on my work number (in Arizona) that said "This is Lindsay with Awards Claim Center..." she went on to tell me that I won either a Ford Explorer or $25,000 cash.  "She" said just call 1-800-918-4224, and my claim # is AZ820.  Appears that a lot of other people are getting these calls on their work phones, too!  (Note:  IF this "were" anything that I could have entered (like a drawing, or contest), I would NEVER give out my work phone number.) What a scam!...otherwise,..."just show me the money!"

I keep getting calls from these people...something about Festiva properties because they "just want to get people out there", whatever that means....they use several different numbers....the latest call came from 931-223-5672.  They also call for my deceased mum claiming she has entered a "promotion" via drop-box or online.....same garbage lines they've given me.  My mum had dementia and did not have access to a computer and also was not able to leave her house except via special transport to hospital and dr. appts. and I know they didn't take her anywhere to fill out any registration forms!!!  From what "Sandra" at this number just told me....anyone can enter my name and number and any company can buy it to use for these promotions.  Too bad I don't get royalties!

For one, if thats all it really takes to get the prizes, then JUST SAY IT! thats why this s**t is a scam, even if you get a prize you didnt say in the call that there would be a presentation. For two, if this is "lagitamate" (phone man cant even spell) then i should just tell everyone i know to come so all my friends, family, and myself can have go on vacations, get nice tvs, and get lots of money. Lastly, why would anyone believe you when you work for a SIMILAR company?!?! your just trying to trick people into doin this just as much as the callers you f**king idiot

I think this "Phone Man" really does "work" for the company even though "he" won't admit it. I would take what "he" says with a grain of salt to say the least.

As for John's reply to Phone Man, well I'm obviously skeptical of that too.

Don't be a fool and fall for this. If you do, I have a feeling that you and your money will soon part.

Hey, I work for S.M.G., and it's not a scam, We have alot of people go down to the places we send them, and they recieve free gifts all the time. They even call back and brag about the gifts (or prizes they recieve).  What it is, is "time shares," "vacation," "travel," "cheap airfare companies," have a promotional style avertisement system going. They wan't you to come and listen to a 90 minute presentation about there company and the deals they have, and yes they are trying to get you to buy something from them, but your not abligated to do so, and if you go down there and listen to them and buy nothing from them, then you will recieve one of their gifts for doing so. Some times such as (Note: Not all locations) = A 2010 Ford Explorer, or a 27 inch flat screen tv, or the vacation. And yes you will recieve one of these if you qualify, you figure the chances on which one you will recieve, regardless its worth 90 minutes of your time, unless your really rich.

Well look at it how it is, the people that call you, brag up the Truck to get your attention, but we can't rip you off it's against the law.

Although sometimes things can go wrong, but that's the same as anything.

If you wouldn't have waisted all your time on this web page, and just called back to see if you qualify, you could of recieved a free tv or vacation anyway, the odds for the truck are slim, but you would of got one of those two. ( Again depends on verious locations, not all places we offer have the same prizes.)

There are qualifications for most of this stuff, and we go through that before we can send to the companies.

Sighning out Phone Man.

I agree, I work for a different company, similar to these ones these people are talking about, and there are plenty of happy people, and we tell them that there is going to be a 90 minute presentation, and you don't have to buy anything, and guess what you will get a 27 inch tv, 5 day four night florida vacation, or the ford explorer or if you don't wan't the explorer you can have the $25,000 dallars. And yes people even call back and brag about the prize or gift they got for going there. And some of the people listened to the presentation and purchase the company product, and even brag about buying from the company, maybe they got a good deal on the time share or a cheaper airfair than at the last place they checked. So all you people believe every thing that other people put on here, if you would of took the time you spent on this web page researching this, you might of came home with a tv, or a vaction, the chances for the grand prizes, are slim yes, but. Any way I'm not conferming that all these places are lagitamate, but the place I work is. And I would send my mother, to get a free gift. And I will admit some times there might be a miscomunication, in the qualifications, and you will be disqualified at the door, but you can always call the companies that sell the time shares, or the vacation companies or travel companies to verify it before you go, to make sure you meet the qualifications. Because where I work we fax or e-mail you all the information you ned to know, and allow you to call the company we are sending you to, or call us back if you have any question. I'ts not a scam its a promotional style of avertisement. And to me maybe you people are rich, "but I'm not" and approx. 90 mins of my time is worth a free tv or the vacation. So later sighning out Phone Man.

Response to 'What do you think?'

First of all, I agree with another poster.  If the stress is too much for you, get another job.

But the reason the people get upset with you is because you represent a fraudulent company 99.9% of the time.  If you can provide evidence that ANYONE YOU HAVE EVER CALLED ended up with the $25,000., the Ford Explorer, the trip to Hawaii, etc., please post it here.  No, there is nothing wrong with listening to a presentation or a company giving prizes away.  But the companies who promote these deals either are flat-out liars or sell so aggressively that when they are done the people YOU CALL also either end up in tears or broke.  That is why you get yelled at, and the reality is, the company you are representing is a snake.
